1 Therfor whanne alle these wordis comen on thee, blessyng ether cursing, which Y settide forth in thi siyt, and thou art led bi repentaunce of thin herte among alle folkis, in to whiche thi Lord God hath scaterid thee,
1 “No futuro, quando vocês experimentarem todas as bênçãos e maldições que lhes relatei, e quando estiverem vivendo entre as nações onde o S enhor , seu Deus, os exilou, levem todas estas instruções a sério.
2 and turnest ayen to hym, and obeiest to hise comaundementis, as Y comaundide to thee to dai, with thi sones, in al thin herte and in al thi soule,
2 Se, nessa ocasião, vocês e seus filhos voltarem para o S enhor , seu Deus, e se obedecerem de todo o coração e de toda a alma a todos os mandamentos que hoje lhes dou,
3 thi Lord God schal lede thee ayen fro thi caitifte, and schal haue mercy on thee, and eft he schal gadre thee from alle puplis, in to whiche he scateride the bifore.
3 então o S enhor , seu Deus, restaurará sua situação. Ele terá misericórdia de vocês e os reunirá de todas as nações por onde os espalhou.
4 If thou art scaterid to the endis of heuene, fro thennus thi Lord God schal withdrawe thee;
4 Embora tenham sido banidos até os confins da terra, o S enhor , seu Deus, os juntará e de lá os trará de volta.
5 and he schal take and schal bringe thee in to the lond which thi fadris weldiden; and thou schalt holde it, and he schal blesse thee, and schal make thee to be of more noumbre than thi fadris weren.
5 O S enhor , seu Deus, os trará à terra que pertencia a seus antepassados, e ela será sua outra vez. Então ele os tornará ainda mais prósperos e numerosos que seus antepassados!
6 Thi Lord God schal circumcide thin herte, and the herte of thi seed, that thou loue thi Lord God in al thin herte and in al thi soule, and maist liue.
6 “O S enhor , seu Deus, transformará o coração de vocês e de todos os seus descendentes, para que o amem de todo o coração e de toda a alma, e para que vivam!
7 Forsothe the Lord schal turne alle these cursyngis on thin enemyes, and on hem that haten and pursuen thee.
7 O S enhor , seu Deus, enviará todas essas maldições sobre seus inimigos e sobre aqueles que os odeiam e os perseguem.
8 Sotheli thou schalt turne ayen, and schalt here the vois of thi Lord God, and schalt do alle the heestis whiche Y comaunde to thee to dai;
8 Então vocês voltarão a obedecer ao S enhor e a cumprir todos os mandamentos que hoje lhes dou.
9 and thi Lord God schal make thee to be plenteuouse, in alle the workis of thin hondis, in the children of thi wombe, and in the fruyt of thi beestis, in abundaunce of thi lond, and in largenesse of alle thingis. For the Lord schal turne ayen, that he haue ioye on thee in alle goodis, as he ioyede in thi fadris;
9 “O S enhor , seu Deus, lhes dará sucesso em tudo que fizerem. Também lhes dará muitos filhos e rebanhos numerosos e fará seus campos produzirem colheitas fartas, pois o S enhor voltará a ter prazer em ser bondoso com vocês, como aconteceu com seus antepassados.
10 if netheles thou herist the voys of thi Lord God, and kepist hise heestis and cerymonys, that ben writun in this lawe, and thou turne ayen to thi Lord God in al thin herte, and in al thi soule.
10 O S enhor , seu Deus, se alegrará em vocês se lhe obedecerem e cumprirem os mandamentos e decretos escritos neste Livro da Lei, e se voltarem para o S enhor , seu Deus, de todo o coração e de toda a alma.”
11 This comaundement whiche Y comaunde to thee to day,
11 “Este mandamento que hoje lhes dou não é difícil demais para vocês, nem está fora de seu alcance.
12 is not aboue thee, nethir is set fer, nethir is set in heuene, that thou maist seie, Who of vs may stie to heuene, that he brynge it to vs, and we here, and fille in werk?
12 Não está guardado no céu, tão longe que vocês tenham de perguntar: ‘Quem subirá ao céu a fim de trazê-lo até nós aqui embaixo, para que possamos ouvir e obedecer?’.
13 nether it is set biyende the see, `that thou pleyne, and seye, Who of vs may passe ouer the see, and brynge it til to vs, that we moun here and do that that is comaundid?
13 Não está guardado além do mar, tão distante que vocês tenham de perguntar: ‘Quem atravessará o mar a fim de trazê-lo até nós, para que possamos ouvir e obedecer?’.
14 But the word is ful nyy thee, in thi mouth and in thin herte, that thou do it.
14 Não, a mensagem está bem perto; está em seus lábios e em seu coração, para que possam obedecer.
15 Biholde thou, that to day Y haue set forth in thi siyt lijf and good, and ayenward deeth and yuel;
15 “Agora ouçam! Hoje lhes dou a escolha entre a vida e a morte, entre a prosperidade e a calamidade.
16 that thou loue thi Lord God, and go in hise weies, and kepe hise heestis, and cerymonyes, and domes; and that thou lyue, and he multiplie thee, and blesse thee in the lond to which thou schalt entre to welde.
16 Pois hoje ordeno que amem o S enhor , seu Deus, e guardem seus mandamentos, decretos e estatutos, andando em seus caminhos. Se o fizerem, viverão e se multiplicarão, e o S enhor , seu Deus, abençoará vocês e a terra em que estão prestes a entrar para tomar posse dela.
17 But if thin herte is turned awey, and thou nylt here, and thou art disseyued bi errour, and worschipist alien goddis,
17 “Se, contudo, seu coração se desviar e vocês se recusarem a ouvir, se forem levados a seguir e adorar outros deuses,
18 and seruest hem, Y biforseie to thee to dai, that thou schalt perische, and schalt dwelle litil tyme in the lond to which thou schalt entre to welde, whanne thou schalt passe Jordan.
18 eu os advirto hoje de que certamente serão destruídos. Não terão uma vida longa e boa na terra que estão atravessando o Jordão para ocupar.
19 Y clepe to day heuene and erthe witnesses, that is, aungels and men, that Y haue set forth to you lijf and deeth, good and yuel, blessyng and cursyng; therfor chese thou lijf, that bothe thou lyue and thi seed,
19 “Hoje lhes dei a escolha entre a vida e a morte, entre bênçãos e maldições. Agora, chamo os céus e a terra como testemunhas da escolha que fizerem. Escolham a vida, para que vocês e seus filhos vivam!
20 and that thou loue thi Lord God, and obeie to his vois, and cleue to hym, for he is thi lijf, and the lengthe of thi daies; that thou dwelle in the lond, for which the Lord swoor to thi fadris, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that he schulde yyue it to hem.
20 Façam isso amando, obedecendo e apegando-se fielmente ao S enhor , pois ele é a sua vida! Se vocês o amarem e lhe obedecerem, ele lhes dará vida longa na terra que o S enhor jurou dar a seus antepassados Abraão, Isaque e Jacó”.
