1 So a man gesse vs, as mynystris of Crist, and dispenderis of the mynysteries of God.
1 Que os homens nos considerem como ministros de Cristo, e mordomos dos mistérios de Deus.
2 Now it is souyt here among the dispenderis, that a man be foundun trewe.
2 Além disso, é requerido dos administradores que cada homem seja achado fiel.
3 And to me it is for the leest thing, that Y be demyd of you, or of mannus dai; but nether Y deme my silf.
3 Mas, para mim é uma coisa muito pequena que eu seja julgado por vós, ou pelo julgamento do homem; nem eu tampouco a mim mesmo me julgo.
4 For Y am no thing ouer trowynge to my silf, but not in this thing Y am iustified; for he that demeth me, is the Lord.
4 Pois eu em nada me sinto culpado; contudo eu não me sinto justificado por isso; porque aquele que me julga é o Senhor.
5 Therfor nyle ye deme bifore the tyme, til that the Lord come, which schal liytne the hyd thingis of derknessis, and schal schewe the counseils of hertis; and thanne preisyng schal be to ech man of God.
5 Portanto, nada julgueis antes do tempo, até que o Senhor venha, o qual também trará à luz as coisas ocultas das trevas, e manifestará os desígnios dos corações; e então todo homem receberá de Deus o louvor.
6 And, britheren, Y haue transfigurid these thingis in to me and in to Apollo, for you; that in vs ye lerne, lest ouer that it is writun, oon ayens another be blowun with pride for another.
6 E estas coisas, irmãos, apliquei isto figuradamente a mim e a Apolo, por causa de vós, para que possais aprender em nós a não pensar a respeito de homens além do que está escrito, para que nenhum de vós seja arrogante um contra o outro.
7 Who demeth thee? And what hast thou, that thou hast not resseyued? And if thou hast resseyued, what gloriest thou, as thou haddist not resseyued?
7 Porque quem te faz diferente de outro? E o que tens tu que não tenhas recebido? Ora, se tu o recebeste, por que te glorias como se não o tivesses recebido?
8 Nowe ye ben fyllid, now ye ben maad riche; ye regnen with outen vs; and Y wolde that ye regnen, that also we regnen with you.
8 Ora, vós já estais saciados, já estais ricos, vós tendes reinado como reis sem nós! E quisera em Deus que reinásseis, para que também nós pudéssemos reinar convosco.
9 And Y gesse, that God schewide vs the laste apostlis, as thilke that ben sent to the deth; for we ben maad a spectacle to the world, and to aungels, and to men.
9 Porque eu penso que Deus colocou a nós, os apóstolos, por último, como que nomeados à morte; porque somos feitos espetáculo ao mundo, aos anjos e aos homens.
10 We foolis for Crist, but ye prudent in Crist; we sike, but ye stronge; ye noble, but we vnnoble.
10 Nós somos loucos por causa de Cristo, mas vós sois sábios em Cristo; nós somos fracos, mas vós sois fortes; vós sois honrados, mas nós somos desprezados.
11 Til in to this our we hungren, and thirsten, and ben nakid, and ben smytun with buffatis,
11 Até esta presente hora temos fome e sede, e estamos nus, e somos esbofeteados, e não temos morada certa,
12 and we ben vnstable, and we trauelen worchynge with oure hondis; we ben cursid, and we blessen; we suffren persecucioun, and we abiden longe; we ben blasfemyd, and we bisechen;
12 e labor, trabalhando com nossas próprias mãos; sendo injuriados, nós abençoamos; sendo perseguidos, nós sofremos;
13 as clensyngis of this world we ben maad the `out castyng of alle thingis `til yit.
13 sendo difamados, nós consolamos; nós somos feitos como a imundície do mundo e somos a escória de todas as coisas até este dia.
14 Y write not these thingis, that Y confounde you, but Y warne as my moste dereworthe sones.
14 Eu não escrevo essas coisas para vos envergonhar; mas advirto-vos como a meus filhos amados.
15 For whi if ye han ten thousynde of vndur maistris in Crist, but not many fadris; for in Crist Jhesu Y haue gendrid you bi the gospel.
15 Porque, ainda que tenhais dez mil instrutores em Cristo, contudo não tendes muitos pais; pois em Cristo Jesus eu vos gerei pelo evangelho.
16 Therfor, britheren, Y preye you, be ye foleweris of me, as Y of Crist.
16 Por isso, suplico-vos que sejais meus seguidores.
17 Therfor Y sente to you Tymothe, which is my most dereworthe sone, and feithful in the Lord, which schal teche you my weies, that ben in Crist Jhesu; as Y teche euery where in ech chirche.
17 Por esta causa vos enviei Timóteo, que é meu filho amado, e fiel no Senhor, o qual vos trará à lembrança os meus caminhos que estão em Cristo, assim como eu ensino por toda a parte, em cada igreja.
18 As thouy Y schulde not come to you, so summe ben blowun with pride;
18 Mas alguns andam envaidecidos, como se eu não houvesse de ir ter convosco.
19 but Y schal come to you soone, if God wole; and Y schal knowe not the word of hem that ben blowun with pride, but the vertu.
19 Mas irei em breve até vós, se o Senhor quiser, e conhecerei, não as palavras dos envaidecidos, mas o poder.
20 For the rewme of God is not in word, but in vertu.
20 Porque o reino de Deus não está em palavras, mas em poder.
21 What wole ye? Schal Y come to you in a yerde, or in charite, and in spirit of myldenesse?
21 O que quereis? Que eu vá até vós com vara, ou em amor e em espírito de mansidão?
