1 `Sotheli, britheren, Y make the gospel knowun to you, which Y haue prechid to you, the which also ye han takun, in which ye stonden,
1 Agora, irmãos, quero lembrá-los das boas-novas que lhes anunciei anteriormente. Vocês as receberam e nelas permanecem firmes.
2 also bi which ye schulen be sauyd; `bi which resoun Y haue prechid to you, if ye holden, `if ye han not bileuyd ideli.
2 São essas boas-novas que os salvam, se continuarem a crer na mensagem como lhes anunciei; do contrário, sua fé é inútil.
3 For Y bitook to you at the bigynnyng that thing which also Y haue resseyued; that Crist was deed for oure synnes, bi the scripturis;
3 Eu lhes transmiti o que era mais importante e o que também me foi transmitido: Cristo morreu por nossos pecados, como dizem as Escrituras.
4 and that he was biried, and that he roos ayen in the thridde dai, after scripturis;
4 Ele foi sepultado e ressuscitou no terceiro dia, como dizem as Escrituras.
5 and that he was seyn to Cephas, and aftir these thingis to enleuene;
5 Apareceu a Pedro e, mais tarde, aos Doze.
6 aftirward he was seyn to mo than fyue hundrid britheren togidere, of whiche manye lyuen yit, but summe ben deed; aftirward he was seyn to James,

7 and aftirward to alle the apostlis.

8 And last of alle he was seyn also to me, as to a deed borun child.

9 For Y am the leste of apostlis, that am not worthi to be clepid apostle, for Y pursuede the chirche of God.
9 Pois sou o mais insignificante dos apóstolos. Aliás, nem sou digno de ser chamado apóstolo, pois persegui a igreja de Deus.
10 But bi the grace of God Y am that thing that Y am; and his grace was not voide in me. For Y trauelide more plenteuously than alle thei; but not Y, but the grace of God with me.
10 O que agora sou, porém, deve-se inteiramente à graça que Deus derramou sobre mim, e que não foi inútil. Trabalhei com mais dedicação que qualquer outro apóstolo e, no entanto, não fui eu, mas Deus que, em sua graça, operou por meu intermédio.
11 But whether Y, or thei, so we han prechid, and so ye han bileuyd.
11 Logo, não faz diferença se eu prego ou se eles pregam, pois todos nós anunciamos a mesma mensagem na qual vocês já creram.
12 And if Crist is prechid, that he roos ayen fro deeth, hou seien summen among you, that the ayenrisyng of deed men is not?
12 Pois bem, se proclamamos que Cristo ressuscitou dos mortos, por que alguns de vocês afirmam não haver ressurreição dos mortos?
13 And if the ayenrisyng of deed men is not, nethir Crist roos ayen fro deeth.
13 Pois, se não existe ressurreição dos mortos, Cristo não ressuscitou.
14 And if Crist roos not, oure preching is veyn, oure feith is veyn.
14 E, se Cristo não ressuscitou, nossa pregação é inútil, e a fé que vocês têm também é inútil.
15 And we ben foundun false witnessis of God, for we han seid witnessyng ayens God, that he reiside Crist, whom he reiside not, if deed men risen not ayen.
15 Então estamos todos mentindo a respeito de Deus, pois afirmamos que ele ressuscitou a Cristo. Mas, se não existe ressurreição dos mortos, isso não pode ser verdade.
16 Forwhi if deed men risen not ayen, nether Crist roos ayen;
16 E, se não existe ressurreição dos mortos, então Cristo também não ressuscitou.
17 and if Crist roos not ayen, oure feith is veyn; and yit ye ben in youre synnes.
17 E, se Cristo não ressuscitou, a fé que vocês têm é inútil, e vocês ainda estão em seus pecados.
18 And thanne thei that han diede in Crist, han perischid.
18 Nesse caso, todos que adormeceram crendo em Cristo estão perdidos!
19 If in this life oneli we ben hoping in Crist, we ben more wretchis than alle men.
19 Se nossa esperança em Cristo vale apenas para esta vida, somos os mais dignos de pena em todo o mundo.
20 But now Crist roos ayen fro deth, the firste fruit of deed men;
20 Mas Cristo de fato ressuscitou dos mortos. Ele é o primeiro fruto da colheita de todos que adormeceram.
21 for deeth was bi a man, and bi a man is ayenrisyng fro deth.
21 Uma vez que a morte entrou no mundo por meio de um único homem, agora a ressurreição dos mortos começou por meio de um só homem.
22 And as in Adam alle men dien, so in Crist alle men schulen be quykenyd.
22 Assim como todos morremos em Adão, todos que são de Cristo receberão nova vida.
23 But ech man in his ordre; the firste fruit, Crist, afterward thei that ben of Crist, that bileueden in the comyng of Crist;
23 Mas essa ressurreição tem uma sequência: Cristo ressuscitou como o primeiro fruto da colheita, e depois todos que são de Cristo ressuscitarão quando ele voltar.
24 aftirward an ende, whanne he schal bitake the kyngdom to God and to the fadir, whanne he schal auoide al princehod, and power, and vertu.
24 Então virá o fim, quando ele entregará o reino a Deus, o Pai, depois de ter destruído todos os governantes e autoridades e todo poder.
25 But it bihoueth hym to regne, til he putte alle hise enemyes vndur hise feet.
25 Pois é necessário que Cristo reine até que tenha colocado todos os seus inimigos debaixo de seus pés.
26 And at the laste, deth the enemye schal be distried; for he hath maad suget alle thingis vndur hise feet.
26 E o último inimigo a ser destruído é a morte.
27 And whanne he seith, alle thingis ben suget to hym, with outen doubt outakun hym that sugetide alle thingis to hym.
27 Pois as Escrituras dizem: “Deus pôs todas as coisas sob a autoridade dele”. Claro que, quando se diz que “todas as coisas estão sob a autoridade dele”, isso não inclui aquele que conferiu essa autoridade a Cristo.
28 And whanne alle thingis ben suget to hym, thanne the sone hym silf schal be suget to hym, that made `alle thingis suget to hym, that God be alle thingis in alle thingis.
28 Então, quando todas as coisas estiverem sob a autoridade do Filho, ele se colocará sob a autoridade de Deus, para que Deus, que deu a seu Filho autoridade sobre todas as coisas, seja absolutamente supremo sobre todas as coisas em toda parte.
29 Ellis what schulen thei do, that ben baptisid for deed men, if in no wise deed men risen ayen? wherto ben thei baptisid for hem?
29 E o que dizer dos que se batizam em favor dos mortos? Se os mortos não ressuscitam, como dizem eles, por que se batizam em favor dos que já morreram?
30 And wherto ben we in perel euery our?
30 E nós, por que arriscamos a vida o tempo todo?
31 Ech dai Y die for youre glorie, britheren, which glorie Y haue in Crist Jhesu oure Lord.
31 Pois eu afirmo, irmãos, que enfrento a morte diariamente, assim como afirmo meu orgulho daquilo que Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor, fez em vocês.
32 If aftir man Y haue fouyten to beestis at Efesi, what profitith it to me, if deed men risen not ayen? Ete we, and drynke we, for we schulen die to morewe.
32 E, se não haverá ressurreição dos mortos, de que me adiantou ter lutado contra feras, isto é, aquela gente de Éfeso? Se não há ressurreição, “comamos e bebamos, porque amanhã morreremos!”.
33 Nyle ye be disseyued; for yuel spechis distrien good thewis.
33 Não se deixem enganar pelos que dizem essas coisas, pois “as más companhias corrompem o bom caráter”.
34 Awake ye, iuste men, and nyle ye do synne; for summen han ignoraunce of God, but to reuerence Y speke to you.
34 Pensem bem sobre o que é certo e parem de pecar. Pois, para sua vergonha, eu lhes digo que alguns de vocês não têm o menor conhecimento de Deus.
35 But summan seith, Hou schulen deed men rise ayen, or in what maner bodi schulen thei come?
35 Alguém pode perguntar: “Como os mortos ressuscitarão? Que tipo de corpo terão?”.
36 Vnwise man, that thing that thou sowist, is not quykened, but it die first;
36 Que perguntas tolas! A semente só cresce e se transforma em planta depois que morre.
37 and that thing that thou sowist, `thou sowist not the bodi that is to come, but a nakid corn, as of whete, or of summe othere seedis;
37 E aquilo que se coloca no solo não é a planta que crescerá, mas apenas uma semente de trigo ou de alguma outra planta.
38 and God yyueth to it a bodi, as he wole, and to ech of seedis a propir bodi.
38 Então Deus lhe dá o novo corpo como ele quer. Um tipo diferente de planta cresce de cada tipo de semente.
39 Not ech fleisch is the same fleisch, but oon is of men, another is of beestis, another is of briddis, an othere of fischis.
39 Da mesma forma, há tipos diferentes de carne: um tipo para os seres humanos, outro para os animais, outro para as aves e outro para os peixes.
40 And `heuenli bodies ben, and `ertheli bodies ben; but oon glorie is of heuenely bodies, and anothir is of ertheli.
40 Também há corpos celestes e corpos terrestres. A glória dos corpos celestes é diferente da glória dos corpos terrestres.
41 An othere clerenesse is of the sunne, anothere clerenesse is of the moone, and anothere clerenesse is of sterris; and a sterre dyuersith fro a sterre in clerenesse.
41 O sol tem um tipo de glória, enquanto a lua e as estrelas têm outro. E até mesmo as estrelas diferem em glória umas das outras.
42 And so the ayenrisyng of deed men. It is sowun in corrupcioun, it schal rise in vncorrupcioun;
42 O mesmo acontece com a ressurreição dos mortos. Quando morremos, o corpo terreno é plantado no solo, mas ressuscitará para viver para sempre.
43 it is sowun in vnnoblei, it schal rise in glorie; it is sowun in infirmyte, it schal rise in vertu;
43 Nosso corpo é enterrado em desonra, mas ressuscitará em glória. É enterrado em fraqueza, mas ressuscitará em força.
44 it is sowun a beestly bodi, it schal rise a spiritual bodi. If ther is a beestli bodi, ther is also a spiritual bodi;
44 É enterrado como corpo humano natural, mas ressuscitará como corpo espiritual. Pois, assim como há corpos naturais, também há corpos espirituais.
45 as it is writun, The firste man Adam was maad in to a soule lyuynge, the laste Adam in to a spirit quykenynge.
45 As Escrituras nos dizem: “O primeiro homem, Adão, se tornou ser vivo”. Mas o último Adão é espírito que dá vida.
46 But the firste is not that that is spiritual, but that that is beestlich, aftirward that that is spiritual.
46 Primeiro vem o corpo natural, depois o corpo espiritual.
47 The firste man of erthe is ertheli; the secounde man of heuene is heuenelich.
47 O primeiro homem foi feito do pó da terra, enquanto o segundo homem veio do céu.
48 Such as the ertheli man is, such ben the ertheli men; and such as the heueneli man is, suche ben also the heueneli men.
48 Os que são da terra são como o homem terreno, e os que são do céu são como o homem celestial.
49 Therfor as we han bore the ymage of the ertheli man, bere we also the ymage of the heuenli.
49 Da mesma forma que agora somos como o homem terreno, algum dia seremos como o homem celestial.
50 Britheren, Y seie this thing, that fleisch and bloud moun not welde the kyngdom of God, nethir corrupcioun schal welde vncorrupcioun.
50 Estou dizendo, irmãos, que nosso corpo físico não pode herdar o reino de Deus. Este corpo mortal não pode herdar aquilo que durará para sempre.
51 Lo! Y seie to you priuyte of hooli thingis. And alle we schulen rise ayen, but not alle we schulen be chaungid;
51 Mas eu lhes revelarei um segredo maravilhoso: nem todos dormiremos, mas todos seremos transformados!
52 in a moment, in the twynklyng of an iye, in the laste trumpe; for the trumpe schal sowne, and deed men schulen rise ayen, with oute corrupcioun, and we schulen be chaungid.
52 Acontecerá num instante, num piscar de olhos, ao som da última trombeta. Pois, quando a última trombeta soar, aqueles que morreram ressuscitarão a fim de viver para sempre. E nós que estivermos vivos também seremos transformados.
53 For it byhoueth this corruptible thing to clothe vncorrupcioun, and this deedli thing to putte awei vndeedlinesse.
53 Pois nosso corpo mortal precisa ser transformado em corpo imortal.
54 But whanne this deedli thing schal clothe vndeedlynesse, thanne schal the word be doon, that is writun, Deth is sopun vp in victorie.
54 Então, quando nosso corpo mortal tiver sido transformado em corpo imortal, se cumprirá a passagem das Escrituras que diz: “A morte foi engolida na vitória.
55 Deth, where is thi victorie? Deth, where is thi pricke?
55 Ó morte, onde está sua vitória? Ó morte, onde está seu aguilhão?”.
56 But the pricke of deth is synne; and the vertu of synne is the lawe.
56 O pecado é o aguilhão da morte que nos fere, e a lei é o que torna o pecado mais forte.
57 But do we thankyngis to God, that yaf to vs victorie bi oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
57 Mas graças a Deus, que nos dá vitória sobre o pecado e sobre a morte por meio de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo!
58 Therfore, my dereworthe britheren, be ye stidefast, and vnmouable, beynge plenteuouse in werk of the Lord, euere more witynge that youre trauel is not idel in the Lord.
58 Portanto, meus amados irmãos, sejam fortes e firmes. Trabalhem sempre para o Senhor com entusiasmo, pois vocês sabem que nada do que fazem para o Senhor é inútil.
