1 It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and of a kind unheard of even among the Gentiles–a man has his father's wife!
1 Geralmente se ouve que há entre vós imoralidade, imoralidade que nem mesmo entre os gentios se vê, a ponto de haver quem vive com a mulher de seu pai.
2 And you, instead of mourning and removing from among you the man who has done this deed of shame, are filled with self-complacency!
2 E vós estais inchados? e nem ao menos pranteastes para que fosse tirado do vosso meio quem praticou esse mal?
3 I for my part, present with you in spirit although absent in body, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has so acted.
3 Eu, na verdade, ainda que ausente no corpo, mas presente no espírito, já julguei, como se estivesse presente, aquele que cometeu este ultraje.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are all assembled and my spirit is with you, together with the power of our Lord Jesus,
4 Em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus, congregados vós e o meu espírito, pelo poder de nosso Senhor Jesus,
5 I have handed over such a man to Satan for the destruction of his body, that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus.
5 seja entregue a Satanás para destruição da carne, para que o espírito seja salvo no dia do Senhor Jesus.
6 It is no good thing–this which you make the ground of your boasting. Do you not know that a little yeast corrupts the whole of the dough?
6 Não é boa a vossa jactância. Não sabeis que um pouco de fermento leveda a massa toda?
7 Get rid of the old yeast so that you may be dough of a new kind; for in fact you are free from corruption. For our Passover Lamb has already been offered in sacrifice–even Christ.
7 Expurgai o fermento velho, para que sejais massa nova, assim como sois sem fermento. Porque Cristo, nossa páscoa, já foi sacrificado.
8 Therefore let us keep our festival not with old yeast nor with the yeast of what is evil and mischievous, but with bread free from yeast–the bread of transparent sincerity and of truth.
8 Pelo que celebremos a festa, não com o fermento velho, nem com o fermento da malícia e da corrupção, mas com os ázimos da sinceridade e da verdade.
9 I wrote to you in that letter that you were not to associate with fornicators;
9 Já por carta vos escrevi que não vos comunicásseis com os que se prostituem;
10 not that in this world you are to keep wholly aloof from such as they, any more than from people who are avaricious and greedy of gain, or from worshippers of idols. For that would mean that you would be compelled to go out of the world altogether.
10 com isso não me referia à comunicação em geral com os devassos deste mundo, ou com os avarentos, ou com os roubadores, ou com os idólatras; porque então vos seria necessário sair do mundo.
11 But what I meant was that you were not to associate with any one bearing the name of »brother,« if he was addicted to fornication or avarice or idol-worship or abusive language or hard-drinking or greed of gain. With such a man you ought not even to eat.
11 Mas agora vos escrevo que não vos comuniqueis com aquele que, dizendo-se irmão, for devasso, ou avarento, ou idólatra, ou maldizente, ou beberrão, ou roubador; com esse tal nem sequer comais.
12 For what business of mine is it to judge outsiders? Is it not for you to judge those who are within the Church
12 Pois, que me importa julgar os que estão de fora? Não julgais vós os que estão de dentro?
13 while you leave to God's judgement those who are outside? Remove the wicked man from among you.
13 Mas Deus julga os que estão de fora. Tirai esse iníquo do meio de vós.
