1 Ó Senhor Deus, não me corrijas quando estiveres Não me castigues no teu furor.
2 \38:1\A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 As tuas flechas de dor me atingiram; eu senti o peso do castigo da tua mão.
3 \38:2\For thy arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand falleth heavy upon me.
3 Por causa da tua ira, estou muito doente. O meu corpo todo está enfermo por causa das minhas maldades.
4 \38:3\There is no soundness in my flesh because of thy anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 Estou me afogando nos meus pecados; eles são uma carga pesada demais para mim.
5 \38:4\For my iniquities have gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 Por causa da minha falta de juízo, tenho feridas que cheiram mal e apodrecem.
6 \38:5\My wounds are offensive, and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 Estou muito abatido e encurvado e choro o dia todo.
7 \38:6\I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 Estou muito doente, queimando de febre.
8 \38:7\For my loins are filled with a lothsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 Sinto-me profundamente abatido e desanimado; o meu coração está aflito, e eu fico gemendo de dor.
9 \38:8\I am feeble and grievously broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 Ó Senhor, tu sabes o que eu desejo, pois ouves todos os meus gemidos.
10 \38:9\Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 O meu coração bate depressa, estou fraco, e os meus olhos perderam o brilho.
11 \38:10\My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of my eyes, that also is gone from me.
11 Por causa das minhas feridas, os meus amigos não chegam perto de mim, e até a minha família se afasta.
12 \38:11\My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my affliction; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 Os que me querem matar armam armadilhas para me pegar; os que me querem ferir ameaçam me desgraçar e não param de fazer planos contra mim.
13 \38:12\They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 Porém eu finjo que sou surdo e não ouço; eu me faço de mudo e não falo;
14 \38:13\But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14 sou como alguém que não responde porque não pode ouvir.
15 \38:14\Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 Apesar disso, eu ponho a minha esperança em ti, ó tu, Senhor meu Deus, me responderás.
16 \38:15\For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 Não deixes que os meus inimigos se alegrem com a minha desgraça; não deixes que fiquem contentes com o meu fracasso.
17 \38:16\For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17 Pois estou quase caindo, e o meu sofrimento não acaba mais.
18 \38:17\For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 Eu confesso as minhas maldades e os meus pecados, pois me deixam muito aflito.
19 \38:18\For I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 No entanto, os meus inimigos estão fortes e com saúde, e há muita gente que me odeia sem motivo.
20 \38:19\But my enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 Aqueles que pagam o bem com o mal estão contra mim porque procuro fazer o bem.
21 \38:20\They also that render evil for good are my adversaries; because I follow the thing that is good.
21 Ó Senhor Deus, não me abandones! Não te afastes de mim, meu Deus!
22 \38:21\Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Ajuda-me agora, ó Senhor, meu Salvador!
23 \38:22\Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
