1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD, shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
1 Os que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião, que não se pode abalar, mas permanece para sempre.
2 As the mountains are round Jerusalem, so the LORD is around his people from henceforth even for ever.
2 Como os montes cercam Jerusalém, assim o Senhor protege o seu povo, desde agora e para sempre.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.
3 O cetro dos ímpios não prevalecerá sobre a terra dada aos justos, se assim fosse, até os justos praticariam a injustiça.
4 Do good, O LORD, to those that are good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
4 Senhor, trata com bondade aos que fazem o bem, aos que têm coração íntegro.
5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
5 Mas aos que se desviam por caminhos tortuosos, o Senhor dará o castigo dos malfeitores. Haja paz em Israel!
