¹ A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. Yahweh, how are my adversaries increased! Many are those who rise up against me.

¹ Salmo de Davi, quando fugia de Absalão, seu filho. SENHOR, como aumentaram aqueles que me perturbam! Muitos são aqueles que se levantam contra mim.

² Many there are that say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

² Há muitos que dizem da minha alma: Não há salvação para ele em Deus. Selá.

³ But you, O Yahweh, are a shield about me; My glory and the lifter up of my head.

³ Mas tu, ó SENHOR, és um escudo para mim, a minha glória, e o exaltador da minha cabeça.

⁴ I cry to Yahweh with my voice, And he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

⁴ Clamei ao SENHOR com a minha voz, e ele me ouviu do seu santo monte. Selá.

⁵ I laid myself down and slept; I awakened; For Yahweh sustains me.

⁵ Eu me deitei e dormi; acordei, porque o SENHOR me sustentou.

⁶ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people That have set themselves against me round about.

⁶ Não terei medo de dez milhares de pessoas que se puseram contra mim ao meu redor.

⁷ Arise, O Yahweh; save me, O my God: For you have struck all my enemies on the cheek bone; You have broken the teeth of the wicked.

⁷ Levanta-te, ó SENHOR; salva-me, ó meu Deus; porque atingiste a todos os meus inimigos sobre o osso malar; quebraste os dentes dos ímpios.

⁸ Salvation belongs to Yahweh: Your blessing be on your people. Selah.

⁸ A salvação pertence ao SENHOR; tua bênção está sobre teu povo. Selá.
