2 Coríntios 7

1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
1 Amados, visto que temos essas promessas, purifiquemo-nos de tudo que contamina o corpo ou o espírito, tornando-nos cada vez mais santos porque tememos a Deus.
2 Open your{+} hearts to us: we wronged no man, we corrupted no man, we took advantage of no man.
2 Peço-lhes que abram o coração para nós. Não prejudicamos ninguém, nem desencaminhamos ninguém, nem nos aproveitamos de ninguém.
3 I don't say it to condemn [you{+}]: for I have said before, that you{+} are in our hearts to die together and live together.
3 Não digo isso para condená-los. Já lhes disse que vocês estão em nosso coração. Estamos juntos, seja para morrer, seja para viver.
4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you{+}, great is my glorying on your{+} behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
4 Tenho muita confiança em vocês, e de vocês tenho muito orgulho. Vocês têm me encorajado grandemente e me proporcionado alegria, apesar de todas as nossas aflições.
5 For even when we had come into Macedonia our flesh had no relief, but [we were] afflicted on every side; outside [were] fightings, inside [were] fears.
5 Quando chegamos à Macedônia, não tivemos nenhum descanso. Enfrentamos conflitos de todos os lados, com batalhas externas e temores internos.
6 Nevertheless he who comforts the lowly, [even] God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
6 Mas Deus, que conforta os desanimados, nos encorajou com a chegada de Tito.
7 and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you{+}, while he told us your{+} longing, your{+} mourning, your{+} zeal for me; so that I rejoiced yet more.
7 Sua presença foi uma alegria, como também o foi a notícia que ele nos trouxe do encorajamento que recebeu de vocês. Quando ele nos contou quanto desejam me ver, quanto lamentam o que aconteceu e quão dedicados são a mim, fiquei muito feliz!
8 For though I made you{+} sorry with my letter, I do not regret it: though I did regret [it] (for I see that that letter made you{+} sorry, though but for a season),
8 Não me arrependo de ter enviado aquela carta severa, embora a princípio tenha lamentado a dor que ela lhes causou, ainda que por algum tempo.
9 I now rejoice, not that you{+} were made sorry, but that you{+} were made sorry to repentance; for you{+} were made sorry after a godly sort, that you{+} might suffer loss by us in nothing.
9 Agora, porém, alegro-me por tê-la enviado, não pela tristeza que causou, mas porque a dor os levou ao arrependimento. Foi o tipo de tristeza que Deus espera de seu povo, portanto não lhes causamos mal algum.
10 For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, [a repentance] which brings no regret: but the sorrow of the world works death.
10 Porque a tristeza que é da vontade de Deus conduz ao arrependimento e resulta em salvação. Não é uma tristeza que causa remorso. Mas a tristeza do mundo resulta em morte.
11 For look, this very same thing, that you{+} were made sorry after a godly sort, what earnest care it worked in you{+}, yes what clearing of yourselves, yes what indignation, yes what fear, yes what longing, yes what zeal, yes what avenging! In everything you{+} approved yourselves to be pure in the matter.
11 Vejam o que a tristeza que vem de Deus produziu em vocês! Trouxe dedicação, defesa de suas ações, indignação, temor, desejo de me ver, zelo e prontidão em punir a injustiça. Vocês mostraram que fizeram todo o necessário para corrigir a situação.
12 So although I wrote to you{+}, I did not [write] for his cause that did the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered the wrong, but that your{+} earnest care for us might be made manifest to you{+} in the sight of God.
12 Portanto, não lhes escrevi para falar de quem havia errado e de quem havia sido prejudicado, mas para que, diante de Deus, pudessem ver por si mesmos como são dedicados a nós.
13 Therefore we have been comforted: And in our comfort we joyed the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you{+}.
13 Fomos grandemente encorajados por isso. Além de nos sentirmos encorajados, ficamos particularmente contentes de ver Tito alegre porque todos vocês o receberam bem e o tranquilizaram.
14 For if in anything I have gloried to him on your{+} behalf, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you{+} in truth, so our glorying also which I made before Titus was found to be truth.
14 Eu tinha dito a ele quanto me orgulhava de vocês, e vocês não me decepcionaram. Sempre lhes disse a verdade, e ficou provado que eu tinha razão ao elogiá-los!
15 And his affection is more abundantly toward you{+}, while he remembers the obedience of all of you{+}, how with fear and trembling you{+} received him.
15 Ele os estima ainda mais quando se lembra de como todos vocês lhe obedeceram e o receberam bem, com temor e profundo respeito.
16 I rejoice that in everything I am of good courage concerning you{+}.
16 Fico muito feliz por poder ter plena confiança em vocês.
