1 I beseche you therfore brethre by ye mercyfulnes of God that ye make youre bodyes aquicke sacrifise holy and acceptable vnto God which is youre resonable seruynge of god.
1 Rogo-vos, pois, irmãos, pelas misericórdias de Deus, que apresenteis o vosso corpo por sacrifício vivo, santo e agradável a Deus, que é o vosso culto racional.
2 And fassion not youre selves lyke vnto this worlde: But be ye chaunged in youre shape by the renuynge of youre wittes that ye maye fele what thynge that good yt acceptable and perfaycte will of god is.
2 E não vos conformeis com este século, mas transformai-vos pela renovação da vossa mente, para que experimenteis qual seja a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus.
3 For I saye (thorowe the grace that vnto me geve is) to every man amonge you that noman esteme of him selfe moare then it becometh him to esteme: but that he discretely iudge of him selfe accordynge as God hath dealte to every man the measure of fayth.
3 Porque, pela graça que me foi dada, digo a cada um dentre vós que não pense de si mesmo além do que convém; antes, pense com moderação, segundo a medida da fé que Deus repartiu a cada um.
4 As we have many members in one body and all members have not one office:
4 Porque assim como num só corpo temos muitos membros, mas nem todos os membros têm a mesma função,
5 so we beynge many are one body in Christ and every man (amoge oure selves) one anothers mebers Seynge
5 assim também nós, conquanto muitos, somos um só corpo em Cristo e membros uns dos outros,
6 that we have dyvers gyftes accordynge to the grace that is geven vnto vs: yf eny man have ye gyft of prophesye let him have it that it be agreynge vnto the fayth.
6 tendo, porém, diferentes dons segundo a graça que nos foi dada: se profecia, seja segundo a proporção da fé;
7 Let him that hath an office wayte on his office. Let him that teacheth take hede to his doctrine.
7 se ministério, dediquemo-nos ao ministério; ou o que ensina esmere-se no fazê-lo;
8 Let him that exhorteth geve attendaunce to his exhortacion. Yf eny man geve let him do it with singlenes. Let him that ruleth do it with diligence. Yf eny man shewe mercy let him do it with cherfulnes.
8 ou o que exorta faça-o com dedicação; o que contribui, com liberalidade; o que preside, com diligência; quem exerce misericórdia, com alegria.
9 Let love be wt out dissimulacion. Hate that which is evyll and cleave vnto that which is good.
9 O amor seja sem hipocrisia. Detestai o mal, apegando-vos ao bem.
10 Be kynde one to another with brotherly love. In gevynge honoure goo one before another.
10 Amai-vos cordialmente uns aos outros com amor fraternal, preferindo-vos em honra uns aos outros.
11 Let not yt busynes which ye have in honde be tedious to you. Be fervet in ye sprete. Applye youre selves to ye tyme.
11 No zelo, não sejais remissos; sede fervorosos de espírito, servindo ao Senhor;
12 Reioyce in hope. Be paciet in tribulacion. Continue in prayer.
12 regozijai-vos na esperança, sede pacientes na tribulação, na oração, perseverantes;
13 Distribute vnto the necessite of the saynctes and diligently to harboure.
13 compartilhai as necessidades dos santos; praticai a hospitalidade;
14 Blesse the which persecute you: blesse but course not.
14 abençoai os que vos perseguem, abençoai e não amaldiçoeis.
15 Be mery with the that are mery. Wepe wt them that wepe.
15 Alegrai-vos com os que se alegram e chorai com os que choram.
16 Be of lyke affeccion one towardes another. Be not hye mided: but make youreselves equall to the of ye lower sorte. Be not wyse in youre awne opinios.
16 Tende o mesmo sentimento uns para com os outros; em lugar de serdes orgulhosos, condescendei com o que é humilde; não sejais sábios aos vossos próprios olhos.
17 Recopence to no ma evyll fore evyll. Provyde afore honde thinges honest in ye syght of all men.
17 Não torneis a ninguém mal por mal; esforçai-vos por fazer o bem perante todos os homens;
18 Yf it be possible howbe it of youre parte have peace with all men.
18 se possível, quanto depender de vós, tende paz com todos os homens;
19 Derly beloued avenge not youre selves but geve roume vnto the wrath of God. For it is written: vengeaunce is myne and I will rewarde saith the lorde.
19 não vos vingueis a vós mesmos, amados, mas dai lugar à ira; porque está escrito: A mim me pertence a vingança; eu é que retribuirei, diz o Senhor.
20 Terfore yf thyn enemy honger fede him: yf he thurst geve him drinke. For in so doynge thou shalt heape coles of fyre on his heed:
20 Pelo contrário, se o teu inimigo tiver fome, dá-lhe de comer; se tiver sede, dá-lhe de beber; porque, fazendo isto, amontoarás brasas vivas sobre a sua cabeça.
21 Be not overcome of evyll: But overcome evyll wt goodnes.
21 Não te deixes vencer do mal, mas vence o mal com o bem.
