1 And he sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: There be some of the that stonde here which shall not taste of deeth tyll they have sene the kyngdome of God come wt power.
1 E dizia-lhes: Em verdade vos digo: dos que aqui se acham, alguns há que não experimentarão a morte, enquanto não virem chegar o Reino de Deus com poder.
2 And after .vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone and he was transfigured before them.
2 Seis dias depois, Jesus tomou consigo a Pedro, Tiago e João, e conduziu-os a sós a um alto monte. E
3 And his rayment dyd shyne and was made very whyte even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth.
3 transfigurou-se diante deles. Suas vestes tornaram-se resplandecentes e de uma brancura tal, que nenhum lavadeiro sobre a terra as pode fazer assim tão brancas.
4 And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu.
4 Apareceram-lhes Elias e Moisés, e falavam com Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs let vs make .iii. tabernacles one for the one for Moses and one for Helyas.
5 Pedro tomou a palavra: Mestre, é bom para nós estarmos aqui; faremos três tendas: uma para ti, outra para Moisés e outra para Elias.
6 And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde.
6 Com efeito, não sabia o que falava, porque estavam sobremaneira atemorizados.
7 And ther was a cloude that shaddowed the. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne here him.
7 Formou-se então uma nuvem que os encobriu com a sua sombra; e da nuvem veio uma voz: Este é o meu Filho muito amado; ouvi-o.
8 And sodenly they loked rounde aboute them and sawe no man more then Iesus only wt the.
8 E olhando eles logo em derredor, já não viram ninguém, senão só a Jesus com eles.
9 And as they came doune from the hyll he charged the that they shuld tell no ma what they had sene tyll the sonne of man were rysen fro deeth agayne.
9 Ao descerem do monte, proibiu-lhes Jesus que contassem a quem quer que fosse o que tinham visto, até que o Filho do homem houvesse ressurgido dos mortos.
10 And they kepte that sayinge with them and demaunded one of a nother what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane?
10 E guardaram esta recomendação consigo, perguntando entre si o que significaria: Ser ressuscitado dentre os mortos.
11 And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribe that Helyas muste fyrste come?
11 Depois lhe perguntaram: Por que dizem os fariseus e os escribas que primeiro deve voltar Elias?
12 He answered and sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of ma as it is wrytte shall suffre many thinges and shall be set at nought.
12 Respondeu-lhes: Elias deve voltar primeiro e restabelecer tudo em ordem. Como então está escrito acerca do Filho do homem que deve padecer muito e ser desprezado?
13 Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helyas is come and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him.
13 Mas digo-vos que também Elias já voltou e fizeram-lhe sofrer tudo quanto quiseram, como está escrito dele.
14 And he came to his disciples and sawe moche people aboute them and the scribes disputinge with them.
14 Depois, aproximando-se dos discípulos, viu ao redor deles grande multidão, e os escribas a discutir com eles.
15 And streyght waye all the people when they behelde him were amased and ran to him and saluted him.
15 Todo aquele povo, vendo de surpresa Jesus, acorreu a ele para saudá-lo.
16 And he sayde vnto the Scribes: what dispute ye with them?
16 Ele lhes perguntou: Que estais discutindo com eles?
17 And one of the copanye answered and sayde: Master I have brought my sonne vnto the which hath a dome spirite.
17 Respondeu um homem dentre a multidão: Mestre, eu te trouxe meu filho, que tem um espírito mudo.
18 And whensoever he taketh him he teareth him and he fometh and gnassheth with his tethe and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out and they coulde not.
18 Este, onde quer que o apanhe, lança-o por terra e ele espuma, range os dentes e fica endurecido. Roguei a teus discípulos que o expelissem, mas não o puderam.
19 He answered him and sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me.
19 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Ó geração incrédula, até quando estarei convosco? Até quando vos hei de aturar? Trazei-mo cá!
20 And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge.
20 Eles lho trouxeram. Assim que o menino avistou Jesus, o espírito o agitou fortemente. Caiu por terra e revolvia-se espumando.
21 And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo sens this hath happened him? And he sayde of a chylde:
21 Jesus perguntou ao pai: Há quanto tempo lhe acontece isto? Desde a infância, respondeu-lhe.
22 and ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre and also into the water to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge have mercy on vs and helpe vs.
22 E o tem lançado muitas vezes ao fogo e à água, para o matar. Se tu, porém, podes alguma coisa, ajuda-nos, compadece-te de nós!
23 And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve all thinges are possible to him yt belevith.
23 Disse-lhe Jesus: Se podes alguma coisa!... Tudo é possível ao que crê.
24 And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve helpe myne vnbelefe.
24 Imediatamente exclamou o pai do menino: Creio! Vem em socorro à minha falta de fé!
25 When Iesus sawe that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him he rebuked the foule sprete sayinge vnto him: Thou domme and deffe sprete I charge the come out of him and entre no more into him.
25 Vendo Jesus que o povo afluía, intimou o espírito imundo e disse-lhe: Espírito mudo e surdo, eu te ordeno: sai deste menino e não tornes a entrar nele.
26 And the sprete cryed and rent him sore and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed in so moche yt many sayde he is deed.
26 E, gritando e maltratando-o extremamente, saiu. O menino ficou como morto, de modo que muitos diziam: Morreu...
27 But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: and he roose.
27 Jesus, porém, tomando-o pela mão, ergueu-o e ele levantou-se.
28 And when he was come into the housse his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde not we caste him out?
28 Depois de entrar em casa, os seus discípulos perguntaram-lhe em particular: Por que não pudemos nós expeli-lo?
29 And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can by no nother meanes come forth but by prayer and fastynge.
29 Ele disse-lhes: Esta espécie de demônios não se pode expulsar senão pela oração.
30 And they departed thens and toke their iorney thorow Galile and he wolde not that eny man shuld have knowen it.
30 Tendo partido dali, atravessaram a Galiléia. Não queria, porém, que ninguém o soubesse.
31 For he taught his disciples and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men and they shall kyll him and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye.
31 E ensinava os seus discípulos: O Filho do homem será entregue nas mãos dos homens, e matá-lo-ão; e ressuscitará três dias depois de sua morte.
32 But they wiste not what that sayinge meat and were affrayed to axe him.
32 Mas não entendiam estas palavras; e tinham medo de lho perguntar.
33 And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come to housse he axed the: what was it that ye disputed bytwene you by the waye?
33 Em seguida, voltaram para Cafarnaum. Quando já estava em casa, Jesus perguntou-lhes: De que faláveis pelo caminho?
34 And they helde their peace: for by the waye they reasoned amonge the selves who shuld be the chefest.
34 Mas eles calaram-se, porque pelo caminho haviam discutido entre si qual deles seria o maior.
35 And he sate doune and called the twelve vnto him and sayd to them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst the same shalbe last of all and servaunt vnto all.
35 Sentando-se, chamou os Doze e disse-lhes: Se alguém quer ser o primeiro, seja o último de todos e o servo de todos.
36 And he toke a chylde and set him in ye middes of them and toke him in his armes and sayde vnto them.
36 E tomando um menino, colocou-o no meio deles; abraçou-o e disse-lhes:
37 Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth not me but him that sent me.
37 Todo o que recebe um destes meninos em meu nome, a mim é que recebe; e todo o que recebe a mim, não me recebe, mas aquele que me enviou.
38 Iohn answered him sayinge: Master we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name which foloweth not vs and we forbade him because he foloweth vs not.
38 João disse-lhe: Mestre, vimos alguém, que não nos segue, expulsar demônios em teu nome, e lho proibimos.
39 But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no ma that shall do a miracle in my name that can lightlyge speake evyll of me.
39 Jesus, porém, disse-lhe: Não lho proibais, porque não há ninguém que faça um prodígio em meu nome e em seguida possa falar mal de mim.
40 Whosoever is not agaynste you is on youre parte.
40 Pois quem não é contra nós, é a nosso favor.
41 And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake because ye belonge to Christe verely I saye vnto you he shall not loose his rewarde.
41 E quem vos der de beber um copo de água porque sois de Cristo, digo-vos em verdade: não perderá a sua recompensa.
42 And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons yt beleve in me it were better for him yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and yt he he were cast into ye see:
42 Mas todo o que fizer cair no pecado a um destes pequeninos que crêem em mim, melhor lhe fora que uma pedra de moinho lhe fosse posta ao pescoço e o lançassem ao mar!
43 wherfore yf thy hande offende ye cut him of. It is better for ye to entre into lyffe maymed then havynge two hondes goo into hell into fire yt never shalbe quenched
43 Se a tua mão for para ti ocasião de queda, corta-a; melhor te é entrares na vida aleijado do que, tendo duas mãos, ires para a geena, para o fogo inextinguível
44 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
44 {onde o seu verme não morre e o fogo não se apaga}.
45 Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe then havynge two fete to be cast into hell into fyre that never shalbe quenched:
45 Se o teu pé for para ti ocasião de queda, corta-o fora; melhor te é entrares coxo na vida eterna do que, tendo dois pés, seres lançado à geena do fogo inextinguível
46 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
46 {onde o seu verme não morre e o fogo não se apaga}.
47 Even so yf thyne eye offende the plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre:
47 Se o teu olho for para ti ocasião de queda, arranca-o; melhor te é entrares com um olho de menos no Reino de Deus do que, tendo dois olhos, seres lançado à geena do fogo,
48 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
48 onde o seu verme não morre e o fogo não se apaga.
49 Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt.
49 Porque todo homem será salgado pelo fogo.
50 Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: and have peace amonge youre selves one with another.
50 O sal é uma boa coisa; mas se ele se tornar insípido, com que lhe restituireis o sabor? Tende sal em vós e vivei em paz uns com os outros.
