1 And he sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: There be some of the that stonde here which shall not taste of deeth tyll they have sene the kyngdome of God come wt power.
1 Jesus prosseguiu: “Eu lhes digo a verdade: alguns que estão aqui neste momento não morrerão antes de ver o reino de Deus vindo com grande poder!”.
2 And after .vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone and he was transfigured before them.
2 Seis dias depois, Jesus levou consigo Pedro, Tiago e João até um monte alto, para estarem a sós. Ali, diante de seus olhos, a aparência de Jesus foi transformada.
3 And his rayment dyd shyne and was made very whyte even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth.
3 Suas roupas ficaram brancas e resplandecentes, muito mais claras do que qualquer lavandeiro seria capaz de deixá-las.
4 And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu.
4 Então Elias e Moisés apareceram e começaram a falar com Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs let vs make .iii. tabernacles one for the one for Moses and one for Helyas.
5 Pedro exclamou: “Rabi, é maravilhoso estarmos aqui! Vamos fazer três tendas: uma será sua, uma de Moisés e outra de Elias”.
6 And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde.
6 Disse isso porque não sabia o que mais falar, pois estavam todos apavorados.
7 And ther was a cloude that shaddowed the. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne here him.
7 Então uma nuvem os cobriu, e uma voz que vinha da nuvem disse: “Este é meu Filho amado. Ouçam-no!”.
8 And sodenly they loked rounde aboute them and sawe no man more then Iesus only wt the.
8 De repente, quando olharam em volta, só Jesus estava com eles.
9 And as they came doune from the hyll he charged the that they shuld tell no ma what they had sene tyll the sonne of man were rysen fro deeth agayne.
9 Enquanto desciam o monte, Jesus ordenou que não contassem a ninguém o que tinham visto, até que o Filho do Homem tivesse ressuscitado dos mortos.
10 And they kepte that sayinge with them and demaunded one of a nother what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane?
10 Eles guardaram segredo, mas conversavam entre si com frequência sobre o que ele queria dizer com “ressuscitar dos mortos”.
11 And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribe that Helyas muste fyrste come?
11 Então eles perguntaram a Jesus: “Por que os mestres da lei afirmam que é necessário que Elias volte antes que o Cristo venha?”.
12 He answered and sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of ma as it is wrytte shall suffre many thinges and shall be set at nought.
12 Jesus respondeu: “De fato, Elias vem primeiro para restaurar tudo. Então por que as Escrituras dizem que é necessário o Filho do Homem sofrer muito e ser tratado com desprezo?
13 Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helyas is come and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him.
13 Eu, porém, lhes digo: Elias já veio e eles preferiram maltratá-lo, conforme as Escrituras haviam previsto”.
14 And he came to his disciples and sawe moche people aboute them and the scribes disputinge with them.
14 Ao voltarem para junto dos outros discípulos, viram que estavam cercados por uma grande multidão e que alguns mestres da lei discutiam com eles.
15 And streyght waye all the people when they behelde him were amased and ran to him and saluted him.
15 Quando a multidão viu Jesus, ficou muito admirada e correu para cumprimentá-lo.
16 And he sayde vnto the Scribes: what dispute ye with them?
16 “Sobre o que discutem?”, perguntou Jesus.
17 And one of the copanye answered and sayde: Master I have brought my sonne vnto the which hath a dome spirite.
17 Um dos homens na multidão respondeu: “Mestre, eu lhe trouxe meu filho, que está possuído por um espírito impuro que não o deixa falar.
18 And whensoever he taketh him he teareth him and he fometh and gnassheth with his tethe and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out and they coulde not.
18 Sempre que o espírito se apodera dele, joga-o no chão, e ele espuma pela boca, range os dentes e fica rígido. Pedi a seus discípulos que expulsassem o espírito impuro, mas eles não conseguiram”.
19 He answered him and sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me.
19 Jesus lhes disse: “Geração incrédula! Até quando estarei com vocês? Até quando terei de suportá-los? Tragam o menino para cá”.
20 And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge.
20 Então o trouxeram. Quando o espírito impuro viu Jesus, causou uma convulsão intensa no menino e ele caiu no chão, contorcendo-se e espumando pela boca.
21 And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo sens this hath happened him? And he sayde of a chylde:
21 Jesus perguntou ao pai do menino: “Há quanto tempo isso acontece com ele?”. “Desde que ele era pequeno”, respondeu o pai.
22 and ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre and also into the water to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge have mercy on vs and helpe vs.
22 “Muitas vezes o espírito o lança no fogo ou na água e tenta matá-lo. Tenha misericórdia de nós e ajude-nos, se puder.”
23 And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve all thinges are possible to him yt belevith.
23 “Se puder?”, perguntou Jesus. “Tudo é possível para aquele que crê.”
24 And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve helpe myne vnbelefe.
24 No mesmo instante, o pai respondeu: “Eu creio, mas ajude-me a superar minha incredulidade”.
25 When Iesus sawe that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him he rebuked the foule sprete sayinge vnto him: Thou domme and deffe sprete I charge the come out of him and entre no more into him.
25 Quando Jesus viu que a multidão aumentava, repreendeu o espírito impuro, dizendo: “Espírito que impede este menino de ouvir e falar, ordeno que saia e nunca mais entre nele!”.
26 And the sprete cryed and rent him sore and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed in so moche yt many sayde he is deed.
26 O espírito gritou, causou outra convulsão intensa no menino e saiu dele. O menino parecia morto. Um murmúrio correu pela multidão: “Ele morreu”.
27 But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: and he roose.
27 Mas Jesus o tomou pela mão e o ajudou a se levantar, e ele ficou em pé.
28 And when he was come into the housse his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde not we caste him out?
28 Depois, quando Jesus estava em casa com seus discípulos, eles perguntaram: “Por que não conseguimos expulsar aquele espírito impuro?”.
29 And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can by no nother meanes come forth but by prayer and fastynge.
29 Jesus respondeu: “Essa espécie só sai com oração”.
30 And they departed thens and toke their iorney thorow Galile and he wolde not that eny man shuld have knowen it.
30 Ao deixarem aquela região, viajaram pela Galileia. Jesus não queria que ninguém soubesse que ele estava lá,
31 For he taught his disciples and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men and they shall kyll him and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye.
31 pois queria ensinar a seus discípulos. Ele lhes dizia: “O Filho do Homem será traído e entregue em mãos humanas. Será morto, mas três dias depois ressuscitará”.
32 But they wiste not what that sayinge meat and were affrayed to axe him.
32 Eles, porém, não entendiam essas coisas e tinham medo de lhe perguntar.
33 And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come to housse he axed the: what was it that ye disputed bytwene you by the waye?
33 Depois que chegaram a Cafarnaum e se acomodaram numa casa, Jesus perguntou a seus discípulos: “Sobre o que vocês discutiam no caminho?”.
34 And they helde their peace: for by the waye they reasoned amonge the selves who shuld be the chefest.
34 Eles não responderam, pois tinham discutido sobre qual deles era o maior.
35 And he sate doune and called the twelve vnto him and sayd to them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst the same shalbe last of all and servaunt vnto all.
35 Jesus se sentou, chamou os Doze e disse: “Quem quiser ser o primeiro, que se torne o último e seja servo de todos”.
36 And he toke a chylde and set him in ye middes of them and toke him in his armes and sayde vnto them.
36 Então colocou uma criança no meio deles, tomou-a nos braços e disse:
37 Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth not me but him that sent me.
37 “Quem recebe uma criança pequena como esta em meu nome recebe a mim, e quem me recebe não recebe apenas a mim, mas também ao Pai, que me enviou”.
38 Iohn answered him sayinge: Master we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name which foloweth not vs and we forbade him because he foloweth vs not.
38 João disse a Jesus: “Mestre, vimos alguém usar seu nome para expulsar demônios; nós o proibimos, pois ele não era do nosso grupo”.
39 But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no ma that shall do a miracle in my name that can lightlyge speake evyll of me.
39 “Não o proíbam!”, disse Jesus. “Ninguém que faça milagres em meu nome falará mal de mim a seguir.
40 Whosoever is not agaynste you is on youre parte.
40 Quem não é contra nós é a favor de nós.
41 And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake because ye belonge to Christe verely I saye vnto you he shall not loose his rewarde.
41 Eu lhes digo a verdade: se alguém lhes der um simples copo de água porque vocês são seguidores do Cristo, essa pessoa certamente será recompensada.
42 And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons yt beleve in me it were better for him yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and yt he he were cast into ye see:
42 “Mas, se alguém fizer um destes pequeninos que confiam em mim cair em pecado, seria melhor que lhe amarrassem ao pescoço uma grande pedra de moinho e fosse jogado ao mar.
43 wherfore yf thy hande offende ye cut him of. It is better for ye to entre into lyffe maymed then havynge two hondes goo into hell into fire yt never shalbe quenched
43 Se sua mão o leva a pecar, corte-a fora. É melhor entrar na vida eterna com apenas uma das mãos que ser lançado no fogo inextinguível do inferno com as duas mãos.
44 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
44 Lá os vermes nunca morrem e o fogo nunca se apaga.
45 Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe then havynge two fete to be cast into hell into fyre that never shalbe quenched:
45 Se seu pé o leva a pecar, corte-o fora. É melhor entrar na vida eterna com apenas um pé que ser lançado no inferno com os dois pés.
46 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
46 Lá os vermes nunca morrem e o fogo nunca se apaga.
47 Even so yf thyne eye offende the plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre:
47 E, se seu olho o leva a pecar, lance-o fora. É melhor entrar no reino de Deus com apenas um dos olhos que ter os dois olhos e ser lançado no inferno.
48 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
48 Lá os vermes nunca morrem e o fogo nunca se apaga.
49 Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt.
49 “Pois cada um será provado com fogo.
50 Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: and have peace amonge youre selves one with another.
50 O sal é bom para temperar, mas, se perder o sabor, como torná-lo salgado outra vez? Tenham entre vocês as qualidades do bom sal e vivam em paz uns com os outros.”
