1 And the derth waxed sore in the lande.
1 E a fome era grave na terra.
2 And when they had eate vp that corne which they brought out of the lande of Egipte their father sayde vnto them: goo agayne and by vs a litle food.
2 E aconteceu que, quando eles terminaram de comer o trigo que haviam trazido do Egito, seu pai lhes disse: Ide novamente, comprai um pouco de alimento.
3 Than sayde Iuda vnto him: the man dyd testifie vnto vs saynge: loke that ye see not my face excepte youre brother be with you.
3 E Judá falou com ele, dizendo: O homem nos afirmou solenemente, dizendo: Não vereis a minha face, exceto se vosso irmão estiver convosco.
4 Therfore yf thou wilt sende oure brother with vs we wyll goo and bye the food.
4 Se tu enviares nosso irmão conosco, desceremos para comprar-te alimento,
5 But yf thou wylt not sende him we wyll not goo: for the man sayde vnto vs: loke that ye see not my face excepte youre brother be with you.
5 mas se tu não o enviares, não desceremos, porque o homem nos disse: Não vereis a minha face, exceto se vosso irmão estiver convosco.
6 And Israell sayde: wherfore delt ye so cruelly with me as to tell the man that ye had yet another brother?
6 E Israel disse: Por que agistes tão maldosamente comigo, ao contar ao homem que tínheis ainda um irmão?
7 And they sayde: The man asked vs of oure kynred saynge: is youre father yet alyue? haue ye not another brother? And we tolde him acordynge to these wordes. How cowd we knowe that he wolde byd vs brynge oure brother downe with vs?
7 E eles disseram: O homem nos perguntou particularmente por nossa condição, e por nossa parentela, dizendo: Vosso pai ainda está vivo? Tendes outro irmão? E lhe contamos de acordo com o teor destas palavras. Como poderíamos saber que ele diria: Trazei vosso irmão?
8 Than sayde Iuda vnto Israell his father: Send the lad with me and we wyll ryse and goo that we maye lyue and not dye: both we thou and also oure childern.
8 E Judá disse a Israel, seu pai: Envia o rapaz comigo, e nos levantaremos e partiremos, para que vivamos, e não morramos, tanto nós, como tu e também nossos pequenos.
9 I wilbe suertie for him and of my handes requyre him. Yf I brynge him not to the and sett him before thine eyes than let me bere the blame for euer.
9 Eu serei fiador por ele; da minha mão o exigirás. Se eu não o trouxer a ti, e o colocar diante de ti, então deixa-me carregar a culpa para sempre,
10 For except we had made this tarieg: by this we had bene there twyse and come agayne.
10 porque se não tivéssemos demorado, certamente agora já teríamos retornado uma segunda vez.
11 Than their father Israel sayde vnto the Yf it must nedes be so now: than do thus take of the best frutes of the lande in youre vesselles and brynge the man a present a curtesie bawlme and a curtesie of hony spyces and myrre dates and almondes.
11 E o seu pai, Israel, disse-lhes: Se precisa ser assim agora, fazei-o: tomai os melhores frutos da terra em vossos vasos, e levai um presente ao homem, um pouco de bálsamo, um pouco de mel, especiarias e mirra, nozes e amêndoas.
12 And take as moch money more with you. And the money that was brought agayne in youre sackes take it agayne with you in youre handes peraduenture it was some ouersyghte.
12 E levai dinheiro em dobro em vossas mãos. E o dinheiro que foi trazido novamente na boca dos vossos sacos, levai-o novamente em vossas mãos. Talvez tenha sido um erro.
13 Take also youre brother with you and aryse and goo agayne to the man.
13 Levai também vosso irmão, e levantai-vos, ide novamente ao homem;
14 And God almightie geue you mercie in the sighte of the man and send you youre other brother and also Be Iamin and I wilbe as a ma robbed of his childern.
14 e o Deus Todo-Poderoso vos dê misericórdia diante do homem, para que ele possa enviar vosso outro irmão, e Benjamim. Se eu for privado de meus filhos, privado serei.
15 Thus toke they the present and twise so moch more money with them and Ben Iamin. And rose vp went downe to Egipte and presented them selfe to Ioseph.
15 E os homens tomaram o presente, e levaram dinheiro em dobro nas suas mãos, e a Benjamim, e se levantaram, e desceram ao Egito, e se colocaram diante de José.
16 When Ioseph sawe Ben Iamin with them he sayde to the ruelar of his house: brynge these men home and sley and make redie: for they shall dyne with me at none.
16 E quando José viu Benjamim com eles, disse ao administrador de sua casa: Levai estes homens para casa, e mata um animal, e prepara, porque estes homens comerão comigo ao meio-dia.
17 And the man dyd as Ioseph bad and brought them in to Iosephs house.
17 E o homem fez como José ordenara, e o homem levou os homens para a casa de José.
18 When they were brought to Iosephs house they were afrayde ad sayde: be cause of the money yt came in oure sackes mouthes at the first tyme are we brought to pyke a quarell with vs and to laye some thinge to oure charge: to brynge us in bondage and oure asses also.
18 E os homens ficaram temerosos, porque eles foram levados à casa de José, e disseram: Por causa do dinheiro que foi devolvido aos nossos sacos na primeira vez fomos trazidos aqui, para procurarem motivo contra nós, e se arremessar sobre nós, e nos tomar por escravos, e a nossos jumentos.
19 Therfore came they to the man that was the ruelar ouer Iosephs house and comened with him at the doore
19 E se aproximaram do administrador da casa de José, e conversaram com ele à porta da casa,
20 and sayde:Sir we came hither at the first tyme to bye foode
20 e disseram: Ó Senhor, viemos, na verdade, a primeira vez para comprar alimento,
21 and as we came to an Inne and opened oure sackes: beholde euery mannes money was in his sacke with full weghte: But we haue broght it agene with us
21 e aconteceu que, quando chegamos à hospedaria, abrimos nossos sacos e eis que o dinheiro de cada homem estava na boca de seu saco, nosso dinheiro em todo o seu peso, e o trouxemos nas nossas mãos novamente.
22 and other mony haue we brought also in oure handes to bye foode but we can not tell who put oure money in oure sackes.
22 E outro dinheiro trouxemos nas nossas mãos para comprar alimento; não sabemos quem colocou o nosso dinheiro em nossos sacos.
23 And he sayde: be of good chere feare not: Youre God and the God of youre fathers hath put you that treasure in youre sackes for I had youre money. And he brought Simeon out to them
23 E ele disse: Paz esteja convosco, não temais. Vosso Deus, e o Deus de vosso pai, deu-vos um tesouro em vossos sacos; eu recebi o vosso dinheiro. E ele lhes trouxe Simeão.
24 ad led the into Iosephs house and gaue the water to washe their fete and gaue their asses prauender:
24 E o homem conduziu os homens à casa de José, e lhes deu água, e eles lavaram seus pés, e ele deu forragem aos seus jumentos.
25 And they made redie their present agaynst Ioseph came at none for they herde saye that they shulde dyne there.
25 E eles prepararam o presente para José, que viria ao meio-dia, porque ouviram que eles deveriam comer pão ali.
26 When Ioseph came home they brought the present in to the house to him which they had in their handes ad fell flat on the grounde befor him.
26 E quando José veio para casa, trouxeram-lhe o presente que estava nas mãos deles para dentro da casa, e se curvaram diante dele com a face em terra.
27 And he welcomed the curteously sainge: is youre father that old man which ye tolde me of in good health? and is he yet alyue?
27 E ele lhes perguntou sobre seu bem-estar, e disse: Está bem o vosso pai, o velho de quem falastes? Ele ainda está vivo?
28 they answered: thy servaunte oure father is in good health ad is yet alyue. And they bowed them selues and fell to the grounde.
28 E eles responderam: Teu servo, nosso pai, está com boa saúde, ele ainda está vivo. E eles curvaram sua cabeça, e fizeram reverência.
29 And he lyfte vp his eyes and behelde his brother Ben Iamin his mothers sonne and sayde: is this youre yongest brother of whome ye sayde vnto me? And sayde: God be mercyfull vnto ye my sonne.
29 E ele levantou seus olhos, e viu seu irmão Benjamim, filho de sua mãe, e disse: Este é vosso irmão mais jovem, do qual me falastes? E ele disse: Deus seja gracioso contigo, meu filho.
30 And Ioseph made hast (for his hert dyd melt apon his brother) and soughte for to wepe and entred in to his chambre for to wepe there.
30 E José se apressou, pois as suas entranhas se moveram para com seu irmão. E ele procurou onde chorar, e entrou na sua câmara, e chorou ali.
31 And he wasshed his face and came out and refrayned himselfe and bad sett bread on the table
31 E ele lavou sua face, e saiu, e se conteve, e disse: Ponde o pão.
32 And they prepared for him by himselfe and for them by them selues and for the Egiptians which ate with him by them selues because the Egyptians may not eate bread with the Hebrues for that is an abhomynacyon vnto the Egiptians.
32 E colocaram para ele à parte, e para eles à parte, e à parte para os egípcios que comiam com ele, porque os egípcios não podiam comer pão com os hebreus, porque isso é abominação para os egípcios.
33 And they satt before him: the eldest acordynge vnto his age and the yongest acordyng vnto his youth. And the men marveled amonge them selves.
33 E assentaram-se diante dele, o primogênito de acordo com seu direito de nascimento, e o mais jovem de acordo com sua juventude, e os homens se maravilharam entre si.
34 And they broughte rewardes vnto them from before him: but Ben Iamins parte was fyue tymes so moch as any of theirs. And they ate and they dronke and were dronke wyth him.
34 E de si mesmo ele tomou porções para eles, mas a porção de Benjamim era cinco vezes maior do que as dos outros. E eles beberam, e se alegraram com ele.
