1 Whe the Lorde thy God hath brought the in to the lond whither thou goest to possesse it, and hath cast out manye nacions before the: the Hethites, the Girgosites, the Amorites, the Cananites, the Pheresites, the Heuites and the Iebusites: vij. nacions moo in numbre ad mightier than thou:
1 Quando o SENHOR teu Deus te trouxer à terra que vais possuir, e tiver expulsado muitas nações de diante de ti, os heteus, e os girgaseus, e os amorreus, e os cananeus, e os ferezeus, e os heveus, e os jebuseus, sete nações maiores e mais poderosas do que tu,
2 ad whe the Lorde thy God hath sett them before the that thou shuldest smyte them se that thou vtterly destroye them and make no couenaunt with them nor haue compassion on them.
2 e quando o SENHOR teu Deus as entregar diante de ti, tu as ferirás, e as destruirás completamente; não farás pacto algum com elas, nem lhes exibirás misericórdia;
3 Also thou shalt make no mariages with them, nether geue thy doughter vnto his sonne nor take his doughter vnto thy sonne.
3 tampouco estabelecerá casamentos com elas; não darás tua filha ao seu filho, nem a sua filha tomarás a teu filho.
4 For they will make youre sonnes departe fro me and serue straunge Goddes, and then will the wrath off the Lorde waxe whote vppon you ad destroye you shortely.
4 Porque elas fariam com que teu filho deixasse de me seguir, para servir a outros deuses; e a ira do SENHOR se acenderá contra vós, e vos destruirá repentinamente.
5 But thus ye shall deale with them: ouerthrowe their alters, breake doune their pilers, cut doune their groves ad burne their ymages with fyre.
5 Mas assim lidareis com elas: destruireis os seus altares, e quebrareis as suas imagens, e derrubareis os seus bosques, e queimareis a fogo as suas imagens de escultura.
6 For thou art an holy nacion vnto the Lorde thy God the Lorde thy God hath chosen the to be a seuerall people vnto him silf of all nacions that are vppon the erth.
6 Porque és um povo santo para o SENHOR teu Deus; o SENHOR teu Deus te escolheu como povo especial para si mesmo, acima de todos os povos que há na face da terra.
7 It was not because of the multitude of you aboue all nacions, that the Lorde had lust vnto you and chose you. For ye were fewest of all nacions:
7 O SENHOR não derramou seu amor sobre vós, nem vos escolheu, porque era mais numeroso do que qualquer outro povo, pois vós éreis menos em número do que todos os povos,
8 But because the Lorde loued you and because he wolde kepe the othe which he had sworne vnto youre fathers, therfore he brought you out of Egipte with a mightie hande ad delyuered you out of the housse of bondage: eue fro the hande of Pharao kinge of Egipte.
8 mas porque o SENHOR vos amou, e porque ele desejava cumprir o juramento que havia jurado aos vossos pais, o SENHOR te trouxe, com mão forte, e te resgatou da casa de servidão, da mão do Faraó, rei do Egito.
9 Vnderstonde therfore, that the Lorde thy God he is God and that a true God, which kepeth poyntment and mercy vnto them that loue him and kepe his commaundmentes, euen thorowe out a thousande generacions
9 Sabe, portanto, que o SENHOR teu Deus, ele é Deus, o Deus fiel, que guarda o pacto e a misericórdia com aqueles que o amam, e guardam os seus mandamentos por mil gerações;
10 and rewardeth them that hate him before his face so that he bringeth them to noughte, and wil not defferre the tyme vnto him that hateth hi but will rewarde him before his face.
10 e recompensa em sua face aqueles que o odeiam, destruindo-os; e não será negligente com aquele que o odeia, ele o recompensará em sua face.
11 Kepe therfore the commaundmentes, ordinaunces and lawes which I commaunde you this daye, that ye doo them.
11 Portanto, guardarás os mandamentos, e os estatutos, e os juízos, que hoje te ordeno que faças.
12 Yf ye shall herken vnto these lawes ad shall obserue and do them, then shall the Lorde thy God kepe poyntment with the and the mercy which he swore vnto thy fathers
12 Portanto, acontecerá que, se ouvirdes esses juízos, e os guardardes, e cumprires, que o SENHOR teu Deus vos guardará o pacto e a misericórdia que jurou aos teus pais;
13 and will loue the, blesse the and multiplye the: he will blesse the frute of thy wombe and the frute of thi felde, thy corne, thy wyne and thy oyle, the frute of thyne oxen and the flockes of thy shepe in the londe which he swore vnto thy fathers to geue the.
13 e ele te amará, e te abençoará, e te multiplicará; ele também abençoará o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, o teu grão, e o teu vinho, e o teu azeite, a criação das tuas vacas, e os rebanhos das tuas ovelhas, na terra que ele jurou aos teus pais que te daria.
14 Thou shalt be blessed aboue all nacions, there shalbe nether man nor woman vnfrutefull amonge you, nor any thinge vnfrutefull amonge youre catell.
14 Serás abençoado acima de todos os povos; não haverá homem ou mulher estéril entre ti, nem entre o teu gado.
15 Moreouer the Lorde will turne from the all maner infirmityes, and will put none off the euell dyseases off Egipte (whiche thou knowest) apon the, but wyll sende them vppon them that hate the.
15 E o SENHOR tirará de ti toda enfermidade, e não colocará sobre ti nenhuma das terríveis doenças do Egito, que conheceste. Mas as porá sobre todos aqueles que te odeiam.
16 Thou shalt bringe to nought all nacions which the Lorde thy God delyuereth the, thyne eye shall haue no pitie vppon them nether shalt thou serue their goddes, for that shalbe thy decaye.
16 E consumirás todos os povos que o SENHOR teu Deus te entregar; teus olhos não terão piedade deles, e nem servirás aos seus deuses, pois isso seria uma armadilha para ti.
17 Yf thou shalt saye in thine hert these nacions are moo than I, how ca I cast them out?
17 Se disseres em teu coração: Estas nações são maiores do que eu, como poderei desapossá-las?
18 Feare the not, but remebre what the Lorde thy god dyd vnto Pharao ad vnto all Egipte,
18 Não as temerás, mas te lembrarás do que o SENHOR teu Deus fez a Faraó, e a todo o Egito;
19 ad the greate temptacions which thine eyes sawe, ad the signes ad wonders ad mightie hade ad stretched out arme wherewith the Lord thy god broughte the out: eue so shall the Lorde thy God doo vnto all the nacions of which thou art afrayed.
19 as grandes tentações que os teus olhos viram, e os sinais, e os prodígios, e a mão forte e o braço estendido com que o SENHOR teu Deus te tirou, isso fará o SENHOR teu Deus a todos os povos que temeres.
20 Thereto, the Lorde thy God will send hornettes amonge them vntyll they that are lefte, and hyde them selues fro the, be destroyed.
20 Além disso, o SENHOR teu Deus enviará vespões entre eles, até que sejam destruídos os que restarem e se esconderem de ti.
21 Se thou feare the not for the lord thi god is amog you a mightie god ad a terrible.
21 Não te deixarás amedrontar por eles, porque o SENHOR teu Deus está no teu meio, um Deus poderoso e terrível.
22 The Lord thy god will put out these nacios before the a litle ad a litle: thou maist not cosume the at oce lest the beestes of the felde encrease vpo the.
22 E o SENHOR teu Deus expulsará essas nações pouco a pouco de diante de ti; não poderás consumi-las imediatamente, para que os animais no campo não se multipliquem contra ti.
23 And the lorde thy god shall delyuer the vnto the ad sterre vp a mightie tepest amoge the, vntil thei be brought to nought.
23 Mas o SENHOR teu Deus as entregará a ti, e as destruirá com grande destruição, até que sejam destruídas.
24 And he shal deliuer their kinges in to thine hade, ad thou shalt destroye their names fro vnder heaue. There shal no ma stonde before the, vntill thou haue destroyed them.
24 E entregará os seus reis na tua mão, e destruirás seu nome de debaixo dos céus; não haverá homem capaz de ficar de pé diante de ti, até que tu os destruas.
25 The images of their goddes thou shalt burne with fire, ad se that thou couet not the syluer or golde that is on them nor take it vnto the, lest thou be snared therewith. For it is an abhominacyon vnto the Lorde thy God.
25 As imagens de escultura de seus deuses queimarás com fogo; não desejarás a prata ou o ouro que houver nelas, nem os tomará para ti, para que não te sirvam de armadilha; porque é uma abominação para o SENHOR teu Deus.
26 Brynge not therfore the abhominacyon to thyne housse, lest thou be a damned thynge as it is: but vtterlye defye it and abhorre it, for it is a thinge that must be destroyed.
26 Tampouco trarás uma abominação à tua casa, para que não sejas uma coisa amaldiçoada como ela; mas a detestarás completamente, e a abominarás completamente, porque é uma coisa amaldiçoada.
