1 And I sawe an angell come doune from heven havinge the kaye of the bottomlesse pyt and a gret chayne in his honde.
1 Vi descer do céu um anjo que trazia na mão a chave do abismo e uma grande corrente.
2 And he toke the drago that olde serpet which is the devyll and Satanas and he bounde him a thousand yeares:
2 Ele prendeu o dragão, a antiga serpente, que é o diabo, Satanás, e o acorrentou por mil anos;
3 and cast him into the bottomlesse pit and he bounde him and set a seale on him yt he shuld desceaue the people no moare tyll the .M. yeares were fulfilled. And after yt he muste be loosed for a litell season.
3 lançou-o no abismo, fechou-o e pôs um selo sobre ele, para assim impedi-lo de enganar as nações até que terminassem os mil anos. Depois disso, é necessário que ele seja solto por um pouco de tempo.
4 And I sawe seattes and they sat apon them and iudgement was geven vnto them: and I sawe the soules of them that were behedded for the witnes of Iesu and for the worde of God: which had not worshypped the best nether his ymage nether had taken his marke vpon their forheddes or on their hondes: and they lyved and raygned with Christ a .M. yere:
4 Vi tronos em que se assentaram aqueles a quem havia sido dada autoridade para julgar. Vi as almas dos que foram decapitados por causa do testemunho de Jesus e da palavra de Deus. Eles não tinham adorado a besta nem a sua imagem, e não tinham recebido a sua marca na testa nem nas mãos. Eles ressuscitaram e reinaram com Cristo durante mil anos.
5 but the wother of the deed men lyved not agayne vntyll the .M. yere were fynisshed. This is that fyrst resurreccion.
5 ( O restante dos mortos não voltou a viver até se completarem os mil anos. ) Esta é a primeira ressurreição.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath parte in the fyrst resurreccion. For on suche shall the seconde deeth have no power for they shalbe the prestes of God and of Christ and shall raygne with him a .M. yere.
6 Felizes e santos os que participam da primeira ressurreição! A segunda morte não tem poder sobre eles; serão sacerdotes de Deus e de Cristo, e reinarão com ele durante mil anos.
7 And when the .M. yeares are experied Satan shalbe lowsed out of his preson
7 Quando terminarem os mil anos, Satanás será solto da sua prisão
8 and shall goo oute to deceave the people which are in the foure quarters of the erth Gog and Magog to gadder them to gedder to batayle whose nombre is as the sonde of the see:
8 e sairá para enganar as nações que estão nos quatro cantos da terra, Gogue e Magogue, a fim de reuni-las para a batalha. Seu número é como a areia do mar.
9 and they went vp on the playne of the erth and compased the tentes of the saynctes about and the beloved cite. And fyre cam doune from God out of heven and devoured them:
9 As nações marcharam por toda a superfície da terra e cercaram o acampamento dos santos, a cidade amada; mas um fogo desceu do céu e as devorou.
10 and the devyll that desceaved them was cast into a lake of fyre and brymstone where the beest and the falce prophet were and shalbe tormented daye and nyght for ever more.
10 O diabo, que as enganava, foi lançado no lago de fogo que arde com enxofre, onde já haviam sido lançados a besta e o falso profeta. Eles serão atormentados dia e noite, para todo o sempre.
11 And I sawe a grett whyte seate and him that sate on it from whose face fleed awaye both the erth and heave and their place was no more founde.
11 Depois vi um grande trono branco e aquele que nele estava assentado. A terra e o céu fugiram da sua presença, e não se encontrou lugar para eles.
12 And I sawe the deed both grett and small stonde before God: And the bokes were opened and another boke was opened which is the boke of lyfe and the deed were iudged of thoo thynges which weer wrytten in the bokes accordinge to their dedes:
12 Vi também os mortos, grandes e pequenos, de pé diante do trono, e livros foram abertos. Outro livro foi aberto, o livro da vida. Os mortos foram julgados de acordo com o que tinham feito, segundo o que estava registrado nos livros.
13 and the see gave vp her deed which were in her and deth and hell delyvered vp the deed which were in them: and they were iudged every man accordinge to his dedes.
13 O mar entregou os mortos que nele havia, e a morte e o Hades entregaram os mortos que neles havia; e cada um foi julgado de acordo com o que tinha feito.
14 And deth and hell were cast into the lake of fyre. This is that second deeth.
14 Então a morte e o Hades foram lançados no lago de fogo. O lago de fogo é a segunda morte.
15 And whosoever was not founde written in the boke of lyfe was cast into the lake of fyre.
15 Se o nome de alguém não foi encontrado no livro da vida, este foi lançado no lago de fogo.
