1 Pedro, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, aos eleitos de Deus, peregrinos dispersos no Ponto, na Galácia, na Capadócia, na província da Ásia e na Bitínia,
2 by ye forknowledge of God ye father thorow the sanctifyinge of the sprete vnto obedience and springklinge of the bloud of Iesus Christ. Grace be with you and peace be multiplyed.
2 escolhidos de acordo com a pré-conhecimento de Deus Pai, pela obra santificadora do Espírito, para a obediência a Jesus Cristo e a aspersão do seu sangue: Graça e paz lhes sejam multiplicadas.
3 Blessed be God ye father of oure Lorde Iesus Christ which thorow is aboundant mercie begat vs agayne vnto a lively hope by the resurreccion of Iesus Christ fro deeth
3 Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo! Conforme a sua grande misericórdia, ele nos regenerou para uma esperança viva, por meio da ressurreição de Jesus Cristo dentre os mortos,
4 to enioye an inheritaunce immortall and vndefiled and that purifieth not reserved in heven for you
4 para uma herança que jamais poderá perecer, macular-se ou perder o seu valor. Herança guardada nos céus para vocês
5 which are kept by the power of God thorow fayth vnto salvacion which salvacion is prepared all redy to be shewed in the last tyme
5 que, mediante a fé, são protegidos pelo poder de Deus até chegar a salvação prestes a ser revelada no último tempo.
6 in the which tyme ye shall reioyce though now for a season (if nede requyre) ye are in hevines thorowe manifolde temptacions
6 Nisso vocês exultam, ainda que agora, por um pouco de tempo, devam ser entristecidos por todo tipo de provação.
7 that youre fayth once tried beinge moche more precious then golde yt perissheth (though it be tried with fyre) myght be founde vnto lawde glory and honoure at the apperinge of Iesus Christ:
7 Assim acontece para que fique comprovado que a fé que vocês têm, muito mais valiosa do que o ouro que perece, mesmo que refinado pelo fogo, é genuína e resultará em louvor, glória e honra, quando Jesus Cristo for revelado.
8 who ye have not sene and yet love him in whom even now though ye se him not ye yet beleue and reioyce with ioye vnspeakable and glorious:
8 Mesmo não o tendo visto, vocês o amam; e apesar de não o verem agora, crêem nele e exultam com alegria indizível e gloriosa,
9 receavynge the ende of youre fayth the salvacion of youre soules.
9 pois vocês estão alcançando o alvo da sua fé, a salvação das suas almas.
10 Of which salvacion have the Prophetes enquyred and searched which prophisied of ye grace that shuld come vnto you
10 Foi a respeito dessa salvação que os profetas que falaram da graça destinada a vocês investigaram e examinaram,
11 searchinge whe or at what tyme the sprete of Christ which was in them shuld signifie which sprete testified before the passions that shuld come vnto Christ and the glory that shuld folowe after:
11 procurando saber o tempo e as circunstâncias para os quais apontava o Espírito de Cristo que neles estava, quando lhes predisse os sofrimentos de Cristo e as glórias que se seguiriam àqueles sofrimentos.
12 vnto which Prophetes it was declared that not vnto them selves but vnto vs they shuld minister the thinges which are now shewed vnto you of them which by ye holy goost sent doune fro heven have preached vnto you the thinges which the angels desyre to beholde.
12 A eles foi revelado que estavam ministrando, não para si próprios, mas para vocês, quando falaram das coisas que agora lhes foram anunciadas por meio daqueles que lhes pregaram o evangelho pelo Espírito Santo enviado do céu; coisas que até os anjos anseiam observar.
13 Wherfore gyrde vp ye loynes of youre myndes be sober and trust perfectly on the grace yt is brought vnto you by the declaringe of Iesus Christ
13 Portanto, estejam com a mente preparada, prontos para a ação; sejam sóbrios e coloquem toda a esperança na graça que lhes será dada quando Jesus Cristo for revelado.
14 as obediet chyldre not facioninge youre selves vnto youre olde lustes of ignoracye:
14 Como filhos obedientes, não se deixem amoldar pelos maus desejos de outrora, quando viviam na ignorância.
15 but as he which called you is holy eve so be ye holy in all maner of conuersacion
15 Mas, assim como é santo aquele que os chamou, sejam santos vocês também em tudo o que fizerem,
16 because it is written. Be ye holy for I am holy.
16 pois está escrito: "Sejam santos, porque eu sou santo".
17 And yf so be yt ye call on the father which with out respecte of person iudgeth accordinge to every manes worke se yt ye passe the tyme of youre pilgremage in feare.
17 Uma vez que vocês chamam Pai aquele que julga imparcialmente as obras de cada um, portem-se com temor durante a jornada terrena de vocês.
18 For as moche as ye know how that ye were not redemed with corruptible sylver and golde from youre vayne conversacion which ye receaved by the tradicions of the fathers:
18 Pois vocês sabem que não foi por meio de coisas perecíveis como prata ou ouro que vocês foram redimidos da sua maneira vazia de viver que lhes foi transmitida por seus antepassados,
19 but with the precious bloud of Christ as of a lambe vndefiled and withouten spot
19 mas pelo precioso sangue de Cristo, como de um cordeiro sem mancha e sem defeito,
20 which was ordeyened before the worlde was made: but was declared in the last tymes for youre
20 conhecido antes da criação do mundo, revelado nestes últimos tempos em favor de vocês.
21 sakes which by his meanes have beleved on god that raysed him from deth and glorified him that youre fayth and hope myght be in god.
21 Por meio dele vocês crêem em Deus, que o ressuscitou dentre os mortos e o glorificou, de modo que a fé e a esperança de vocês estão em Deus.
22 And for as moche as ye have purified youre soules thorowe the sprete in obeyinge the trueth for to love brotherly withouten saynynge se that ye love one another with a pure hert fervently:
22 Agora que vocês purificaram as suas vidas pela obediência à verdade, visando ao amor fraternal e sincero, amem sinceramente uns aos outros e de todo o coração.
23 for ye are borne a newe not of mortall seed but of immortall by the worde of god which liveth and lasteth for ever.
23 Pois vocês foram regenerados, não de uma semente perecível, mas imperecível, por meio da palavra de Deus, viva e permanente.
24 For all flesshe is as grasse and all the glory of man is as the floure of grasse. The grasse widdereth and the flower falleth awaye
24 Pois, "toda a humanidade é como a relva, e toda a sua glória, como a flor da relva; a relva murcha e cai a sua flor,
25 but the worde of the lorde endureth ever. And this is the worde which by the gospell was preached amonge you.
25 mas a palavra do Senhor permanece para sempre". Essa é a palavra que lhes foi anunciada.
