1 พระเยซูกล่าวตอบพวกเขาเป็นอุปมาอีกว่า
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “อาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์เปรียบเสมือนกษัตริย์ผู้หนึ่งซึ่งจัดงานเลี้ยงสมรสให้บุตรชาย
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 ท่านส่งผู้รับใช้ไปเชิญบรรดาแขกมางานเลี้ยงสมรส แต่เขาเหล่านั้นไม่อยากจะมา
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 ท่านจึงส่งผู้รับใช้อื่นๆ ไปอีกว่า ‘จงไปบอกบรรดาแขกว่า “ดูสิ เราได้เตรียมอาหารเย็นไว้ ทั้งโคและลูกโคอ้วนพีก็ฆ่าไว้แล้ว ทุกสิ่งก็พร้อม มางานเลี้ยงสมรสเถิด”’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 แต่เขาเหล่านั้นไม่สนใจเลย ต่างก็ไปทำธุระของตน คนหนึ่งไปยังไร่นาของตน อีกคนหนึ่งไปทำการค้า
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 คนอื่นที่เหลือก็จับพวกผู้รับใช้มาทารุณแล้วฆ่าเสีย
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 กษัตริย์ผู้นั้นโกรธมาก จึงส่งกองทหารไปทำลายพวกฆาตกรเหล่านั้นแล้วเผาเมืองเสีย
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 ครั้นแล้วก็กล่าวกับบรรดาผู้รับใช้ว่า ‘งานสมรสพร้อมแล้ว แต่บรรดาแขกไม่สมควรที่จะมาในงาน
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 ฉะนั้นจงไปตามถนนใหญ่ เชิญคนมางานเลี้ยงสมรสให้ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะหาได้’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 บรรดาผู้รับใช้จึงออกไปตามถนน รวบรวมคนที่หาได้ทั้งคนชั่วและคนดีจนห้องเลี้ยงฉลองเต็มไปด้วยแขกของงาน
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 ครั้นกษัตริย์เข้ามาดูแขกในงาน ก็เห็นว่าชายคนหนึ่งไม่ได้สวมเสื้อสำหรับงานสมรส
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 จึงถามเขาว่า ‘เพื่อนเอ๋ย ท่านเข้ามาในที่นี้ได้อย่างไร โดยไม่มีเสื้อสำหรับงานสมรส’ เขาก็อึ้งไป
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 กษัตริย์กล่าวกับพวกผู้รับใช้ว่า ‘จงมัดมือและเท้าของเขาแล้วโยนตัวออกไปสู่ความมืดข้างนอก ณ ที่นั่นจะมีการร่ำไห้และขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน’
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 เพราะคนจำนวนมากได้รับเชิญ แต่มีเพียงไม่กี่คนเท่านั้นที่ได้รับเลือก”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 ครั้นแล้วพวกฟาริสีจึงออกไปปรึกษากันว่าจะจับผิดในสิ่งที่พระองค์กล่าวได้อย่างไร

16 เขาเหล่านั้นจึงให้พวกสาวกของเขาไปกับพรรคของเฮโรด ไปหาพระองค์เพื่อถามว่า “อาจารย์ พวกเราทราบว่า ท่านพูดความจริงและสั่งสอนวิถีทางของพระเจ้าจริงๆ โดยไม่เอาใจผู้ใด เพราะท่านไม่ลำเอียง
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 ฉะนั้นกรุณาบอกเราว่า ท่านคิดเห็นอย่างไร เป็นสิ่งถูกต้องตามกฎหรือไม่ในการเสียภาษีให้แก่ซีซาร์”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 พระเยซูตระหนักถึงความมุ่งร้ายของพวกเขา จึงกล่าวว่า “ทำไมจึงทดสอบเรา พวกหน้าไหว้หลังหลอก
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 ให้เราดูเหรียญที่ใช้จ่ายค่าภาษีสิ” พวกเขาจึงเอาเหรียญเดนาริอันมาให้พระองค์
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 พระองค์กล่าวว่า “รูปและคำจารึกนี้เป็นของใคร”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 เขาทั้งหลายตอบพระองค์ว่า “ของซีซาร์” แล้วพระองค์กล่าวว่า “ถ้าเช่นนั้น สิ่งที่เป็นของซีซาร์ก็จงให้แก่ซีซาร์ และสิ่งที่เป็นของพระเจ้าก็จงให้แก่พระเจ้า”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 พวกเขาได้ยินเช่นนั้นก็อัศจรรย์ใจ แล้วจากพระองค์ไป
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 ในวันนั้นพวกสะดูสี (ซึ่งพูดว่าไม่มีการฟื้นคืนชีวิตจากความตาย) ได้มาหาพระองค์และถามว่า

24 “อาจารย์ ตามที่โมเสสกล่าวว่า ‘ถ้าชายคนหนึ่งตายไปโดยที่ไม่มีบุตรเลย น้องชายของเขาควรสมรสกับหญิงม่าย และมีบุตรสืบตระกูลให้พี่ชายของเขา’
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ครั้งหนึ่งมีพี่น้องที่เป็นชายอยู่ 7 คน คนแรกสมรสและตายโดยไม่มีบุตร ทอดทิ้งภรรยาไว้กับน้องชายของตน
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 คนที่สอง คนที่สามก็เช่นเดียวกัน มาจนถึงคนที่เจ็ด
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ในที่สุดหญิงคนนั้นก็ตายด้วย
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 เมื่อถึงวันที่ฟื้นคืนชีวิตจากความตาย แล้วนางจะเป็นภรรยาของใคร ในเมื่อทั้งเจ็ดคนได้สมรสกับนาง”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 พระเยซูกล่าวตอบว่า “ท่านผิดแล้ว ท่านไม่เข้าใจพระคัมภีร์และอานุภาพของพระเจ้า
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 เพราะในวันที่ฟื้นคืนชีวิตจากความตาย พวกเขาจะไม่มีการสมรสหรือการยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากัน แต่จะเป็นเหมือนพวกทูตสวรรค์ในฟ้าสวรรค์
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 แต่เรื่องคนตายที่ฟื้นคืนชีวิตนั้น ท่านยังไม่ได้อ่านตอนที่พระเจ้าได้กล่าวกับท่านหรือว่า
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘เราเป็นพระเจ้าของอับราฮัม พระเจ้าของอิสอัค และพระเจ้าของยาโคบ’ พระองค์ไม่ใช่พระเจ้าของคนตาย แต่เป็นพระเจ้าของคนเป็น”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 เมื่อฝูงชนได้ยินดังนั้น ก็อัศจรรย์ใจกับการสอนของพระองค์
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 เมื่อพวกฟาริสีทราบว่าพระองค์ไล่ต้อนจนพวกสะดูสีนิ่งอึ้ง จึงได้ประชุมกัน
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 คนหนึ่งในพวกเขาซึ่งเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญฝ่ายกฎบัญญัติได้ถามพระเยซูเป็นการทดสอบว่า
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “อาจารย์ พระบัญญัติข้อใดในหมวดกฎบัญญัติยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 พระองค์ตอบว่า “‘จงรักพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้าของเจ้าอย่างสุดดวงใจ สุดดวงจิต และสุดความคิดของเจ้า’
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 นี่คือพระบัญญัติแรกและสำคัญที่สุด
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 พระบัญญัติที่สองก็เหมือนกัน ‘จงรักเพื่อนบ้านของเจ้าให้เหมือนรักตนเอง’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 ทั้งหมวดกฎบัญญัติและหมวดผู้เผยคำกล่าวของพระเจ้าขึ้นอยู่กับพระบัญญัติ 2 ข้อนี้”
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 ขณะที่พวกฟาริสีประชุมกันอยู่ พระเยซูจึงถามพวกเขาว่า
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “ท่านคิดเห็นอย่างไรเกี่ยวกับพระคริสต์ พระองค์เป็นบุตรของผู้ใด” พวกเขาพูดว่า “บุตรของดาวิด”
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 พระองค์กล่าวกับเขาเหล่านั้นว่า “เป็นไปได้อย่างไรที่ดาวิดเรียกพระองค์โดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าผู้ดลใจว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ ตามที่กล่าวไว้คือ
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้ากล่าวกับพระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าว่า
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ถ้าดาวิดเรียกพระองค์ว่า ‘พระผู้เป็นเจ้า’ แล้วพระองค์จะเป็นบุตรของดาวิดได้อย่างไร”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 ไม่มีใครสามารถตอบพระองค์ได้สักคำเดียว และตั้งแต่วันนั้นไม่มีใครกล้าซักถามพระองค์อีก
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
