1 Surely, towards God, silence [becometh] my soul, From him, is my salvation:
1 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 Surely, he, is my rock and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be greatly shaken!
2 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei muito abalado.
3 How long will ye shout at a man? Ye shall be crushed all of you,—Like a wall that bulgeth,—a fence pushed in!
3 Até quando acometereis vós a um homem, todos vós, para o derribardes, como se fosse uma parede pendida ou um muro prestes a cair?
4 Surely, from his elevation, they have taken counsel to thrust him down, They accept falsehood,—With his mouth, they each of them bless, But, inwardly, they revile. [Selah.]
4 Só pensam em derribá-lo da sua dignidade; na mentira se comprazem; de boca bendizem, porém no interior maldizem.
5 Surely, towards God, be thou silent, my soul, For, from him, is mine expectation:
5 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 Surely, he, is my rock, and my salvation, My high tower—I shall not be shaken!
6 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei jamais abalado.
7 Upon God, [depend] my salvation and mine honour, My rock of strength, my refuge, are in God.
7 De Deus dependem a minha salvação e a minha glória; estão em Deus a minha forte rocha e o meu refúgio.
8 Trust ye in him all ye assembly of the people, Pour out, before him, your heart, God, is a refuge for us. [Selah.]
8 Confiai nele, ó povo, em todo tempo; derramai perante ele o vosso coração; Deus é o nosso refúgio.
9 Surely, vanity, are men of low degree, Deception, men of high degree,—In the balances, they go up, They, are [made] of vanity, altogether.
9 Somente vaidade são os homens plebeus; falsidade, os de fina estirpe; pesados em balança, eles juntos são mais leves que a vaidade.
10 Do not trust in extortion, Nor, with robbery, become vain, As for wealth, when it beareth fruit, Do not set [thereon your] heart.
10 Não confieis naquilo que extorquis, nem vos vanglorieis na rapina; se as vossas riquezas prosperam, não ponhais nelas o coração.
11 One thing, hath God spoken, Two things, [there are] which I have heard, That, power, belongeth unto God;
11 Uma vez falou Deus, duas vezes ouvi isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,
12 And, thine, O My Lord, is lovingkindness,—For, thou, wilt pay back unto every man—according to his deed.
12 e a ti, Senhor, pertence a graça, pois a cada um retribuis segundo as suas obras.
