1 Hear ye this—O priests, and attend, O house of Israel, and ye, House of the King, give ear, for, to you, pertaineth the sentence,—for, a snare, have ye been to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
1 Ouvi isto, ó sacerdotes; escutai, ó casa de Israel; e dai ouvidos, ó casa do rei, porque este juízo é contra vós outros, visto que fostes um laço em Mispa e rede estendida sobre o Tabor.
2 And, a slaughter, have apostates deeply designed,—though, I, was a rebuker to them all.
2 Na prática de excessos, vos aprofundastes; mas eu castigarei a todos eles.
3 I, have known Ephraim, and, Israel, hath not been hidden from me,—for, now, hast thou committed unchastity, O Ephraim, Israel, hath made himself impure.
3 Conheço a Efraim, e Israel não me está oculto; porque, agora, te tens prostituído, ó Efraim, e Israel está contaminado.
4 Their doings, will not suffer, them to return unto their God,—for, the spirit of unchastity, is within them, and, Yahweh, have they not known.
4 O seu proceder não lhes permite voltar para o seu Deus, porque um espírito de prostituição está no meio deles, e não conhecem ao Senhor .
5 Therefore will the Excellency of Israel, answer, to his face,—and, Israel and Ephraim, shall stumble in their iniquity, even Judah with them, hath stumbled.
5 A soberba de Israel, abertamente, o acusa; Israel e Efraim cairão por causa da sua iniquidade, e Judá cairá juntamente com eles.
6 With their flocks and with their herds, will they go to seek Yahweh, but shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
6 Estes irão com os seus rebanhos e o seu gado à procura do Senhor , porém não o acharão; ele se retirou deles.
7 With Yahweh, have they dealt treacherously, for, to alien children, have they given birth,—now, a new moon, shall devour them, with their portions.
7 Aleivosamente se houveram contra o Senhor , porque geraram filhos bastardos; agora, a Festa da Lua Nova os consumirá com as suas porções.
8 Blow ye a horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah,—sound an alarm at Beth-aven, behind thee, O Benjamin!
8 Tocai a trombeta em Gibeá e em Ramá tocai a rebate! Levantai gritos em Bete-Áven! Cuidado, Benjamim!
9 Ephraim, shall become, a desolation, in the day of rebuke: Throughout the tribes of Israel, have I hide known what is sure.
9 Efraim tornar-se-á assolação no dia do castigo; entre as tribos de Israel, tornei conhecido o que se cumprirá.
10 The rulers of Judah have become as they who remove a land-mark. Upon them, will I pour out, like water, my wrath.
10 Os príncipes de Judá são como os que mudam os marcos; derramarei, pois, o meu furor sobre eles como água.
11 Oppressed, is Ephraim, crushed in judgment,—because he hath, wilfully, walked after falsehood.
11 Efraim está oprimido e quebrantado pelo castigo, porque foi do seu agrado andar após a vaidade.
12 But, I, was like a moth, to Ephraim,—and like rotten wood to the house of Judah.
12 Portanto, para Efraim serei como a traça e para a casa de Judá, como a podridão.
13 When Ephraim, saw, his injury, and Judah his wound, then went Ephraim unto Assyria, and [Judah] sent unto a hostile king,—yet, he, cannot heal you, nor will the wound, remove from you.
13 Quando Efraim viu a sua enfermidade, e Judá, a sua chaga, subiu Efraim à Assíria e se dirigiu ao rei principal, que o acudisse; mas ele não poderá curá-los, nem sarar a sua chaga.
14 For, I, will be as a lion unto Ephraim, and as a young lion to the house of Judah,—I, I, will tear in pieces, and depart, I will carry off, and none be able to rescue.
14 Porque para Efraim serei como um leão e como um leãozinho, para a casa de Judá; eu, eu mesmo, os despedaçarei e ir-me-ei embora; arrebatá-los-ei, e não haverá quem os livre.
15 I will depart, will return unto my place! till what time they acknowledge their guilt, and seek my face,—In their trouble, will they make for me diligent search.
15 Irei e voltarei para o meu lugar, até que se reconheçam culpados e busquem a minha face; estando eles angustiados, cedo me buscarão, dizendo:
