1 I wait alone in silence for God; From him comes my help.
1 Somente em Deus eu encontro paz; é dele que vem a minha salvação.
2 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
2 Somente ele é a rocha que me salva; ele é o meu protetor, e eu nunca serei derrotado.
3 How long will you, all of you, batter a man, as one might a leaning wall?
3 Até quando todos vocês atacarão um homem que é mais fraco do que uma cerca derrubada?
4 From his rank and prominance they are planning to topple him. They take pleasure in falsehood; they bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. (Selah)
4 Vocês somente querem tirá-lo do seu lugar de honra. Vocês gostam de mentir; dizem coisas boas a respeito dele, mas no coração o amaldiçoam.
5 I wait alone in silence for God; for from him comes my hope.
5 Somente em Deus eu encontro paz e nele ponho a minha esperança.
6 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
6 Somente ele é a rocha que me salva; ele é o meu protetor, e eu não serei abalado.
7 On God rests my honour and safety, in God is my strong rock, my refuge.
7 A minha salvação e a minha honra dependem de Deus; ele é a minha rocha poderosa e o meu abrigo.
8 Trust in him, all you people assembled, pour out your heart in his presence; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
8 Confie sempre em Deus, meu povo! Abram o coração para Deus, pois ele é o nosso refúgio.
9 The lowly are nought but a breath, the lofty are but an illusion: in the balances up they go, they are lighter than breath altogether.
9 Os seres humanos, tanto os pobres como os ricos, são inúteis, são somente um sopro. Se fossem colocados na balança, não pesariam nada; são mais leves do que um sopro.
10 Trust not in gain of extortion, set no vain hopes in robbery. As for wealth, if it bears fruit, set not your heart upon it.
10 Não confiem na violência, nem esperem ganhar alguma coisa com o roubo. Ainda que as suas riquezas aumentem, não confiem nelas.
11 One thing God has uttered, two things there are which I heard that power belongs to God,
11 Mais de uma vez tenho ouvido Deus dizer que o poder é dele
12 and to you, too, O Lord, belongs kindness; for you requite each person according to what they have done.
12 e o amor, também. Tu, ó Senhor, recompensas cada um de acordo com o que faz.
