1 I wait alone in silence for God; From him comes my help.
1 Somente em Deus a minha alma espera silenciosa; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
2 Só ele é a minha rocha, a minha salvação e o meu alto refúgio; não serei muito abalado.
3 How long will you, all of you, batter a man, as one might a leaning wall?
3 Até quando vocês atacarão um homem, todos vocês, para o derrubarem, como se fosse uma parede pendida ou um muro prestes a cair?
4 From his rank and prominance they are planning to topple him. They take pleasure in falsehood; they bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. (Selah)
4 Só pensam em derrubá-lo da sua dignidade. Eles se alegram na mentira; de boca bendizem, porém no interior maldizem.
5 I wait alone in silence for God; for from him comes my hope.
5 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espere silenciosa, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 Yes, he is my rock, my help, my retreat, I shall not be shaken too sorely.
6 Só ele é a minha rocha, a minha salvação e o meu alto refúgio; não serei jamais abalado.
7 On God rests my honour and safety, in God is my strong rock, my refuge.
7 De Deus dependem a minha salvação e a minha glória; ele é a minha forte rocha e o meu refúgio.
8 Trust in him, all you people assembled, pour out your heart in his presence; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
8 Confie nele em todo tempo, ó povo; derrame diante dele o seu coração. Deus é o nosso refúgio.
9 The lowly are nought but a breath, the lofty are but an illusion: in the balances up they go, they are lighter than breath altogether.
9 Pura vaidade são os homens plebeus; os de fina estirpe não passam de falsidade; pesados em balança, eles juntos são mais leves do que a vaidade.
10 Trust not in gain of extortion, set no vain hopes in robbery. As for wealth, if it bears fruit, set not your heart upon it.
10 Não confiem na opressão, nem ponham falsas esperanças na rapina. Se as riquezas de vocês aumentam, não ponham nelas o coração.
11 One thing God has uttered, two things there are which I heard that power belongs to God,
11 Uma vez Deus falou, duas vezes ouvi isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,
12 and to you, too, O Lord, belongs kindness; for you requite each person according to what they have done.
12 e a ti, Senhor, pertence a graça, pois a cada um retribuis segundo as suas obras.
