¹ Hallelujah. Sing to the Lord a new song, sound his praise where the faithful are gathered.

¹ Louvai ao SENHOR. Cantai ao SENHOR um cântico novo, e o seu louvor na congregação dos santos.

² Let Israel rejoice in its maker, sons of Zion exult in their king.

² Alegre-se Israel naquele que o fez, regozijem-se os filhos de Sião no seu Rei.

³ Let them praise his name in the dance, making music with lyre and with timbrel.

³ Louvem o seu nome com danças; cantem-lhe o seu louvor com tamborim e harpa.

⁴ For the Lord delights in his people, adorning the humble with victory.

⁴ Porque o Senhor se agrada do seu povo; ornará os mansos com a salvação.

⁵ Let the faithful exult and extol him with glad ringing cries all night long.

⁵ Exultem os santos na glória; alegrem-se nas suas camas.

⁶ High praises of God in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

⁶ Estejam na sua garganta os altos louvores de Deus, e espada de dois fios nas suas mãos,

⁷ on the heathen to execute vengeance, and chastisement sore on the nations,

⁷ Para tomarem vingança dos gentios, e darem repreensões aos povos;

⁸ binding their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron,

⁸ Para prenderem os seus reis com cadeias, e os seus nobres com grilhões de ferro;

⁹ to execute on them the doom that is written. This is the glory of all his faithful. Hallelujah.

⁹ Para fazerem neles o juízo escrito; esta será a honra de todos os seus santos. Louvai ao Senhor.
