1 In distress I cried to the Lord, and he answered me.
1 Na minha angústia, clamo ao e ele me ouve.
2 “Deliver me, Lord, from the lip that is false and the tongue that is crafty.”
2 Senhor , livra-me dos lábios mentirosos, da língua enganadora.
3 What shall he give to you, you tongue that is crafty? What yet shall he give to you?
3 O que lhe será dado ou o que lhe será acrescentado, ó língua enganadora?
4 Arrows of warrior, sharpened, with glowing broom coals together.

5 Woe is me that I sojourn in Meshech, that I live by the tents of Kedar.
5 Ai de mim, que peregrino em Meseque e habito nas tendas de Quedar.
6 Already too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.
6 Já há tempo demais que habito com aqueles que odeiam a paz.
7 I am for peace: but when I speak of it, they are for war.
7 Sou pela paz; quando, porém, eu falo, eles teimam pela guerra.
