1 And the angel showed me ‘a river of the water of life,’ as clear as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
1 Então o anjo me mostrou o rio da água da vida, transparente como cristal, que fluía do trono de Deus e do Cordeiro
2 in the middle of the street of the city. On each side of the river was a Tree of life which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
2 e passava no meio da rua principal. De cada lado do rio estava a árvore da vida, que produz doze colheitas de frutos por ano, uma em cada mês, e cujas folhas servem como remédio para curar as nações.
3 ‘Every thing that is accursed will cease to be.’ The throne of God and of the Lamb will be within it, and his servants will worship him;
3 Não haverá mais maldição sobre coisa alguma, porque o trono de Deus e do Cordeiro estará ali, e seus servos o adorarão.
4 they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
4 Verão seu rosto, e seu nome estará escrito na testa de cada um.
5 Night will cease to be. They have no need of the light of a lamp, nor have they the light of the sun; for the ‘Lord God will be their light, and they will reign for ever and ever.’
5 E não haverá noite; não será necessária a luz da lâmpada nem a luz do sol, pois o Senhor Deus brilhará sobre eles. E reinarão para todo o sempre.
6 Then the angel said to me — ‘These words may be trusted and are true. The Lord, the God that inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants what must quickly take place;
6 Então o anjo me disse: “Tudo que você ouviu e viu é digno de confiança e verdadeiro. O Senhor, o Deus dos espíritos dos profetas, enviou seu anjo para dizer a seus servos o que acontecerá em breve”.
7 and they said “I will come quickly.”Blessed will he be who lays to heart the words of the prophecy contained in this book.’
7 “Vejam, eu venho em breve! Felizes aqueles que obedecem às palavras da profecia registrada neste livro.”
8 It was I, John, who heard and saw these things; and, when I heard and saw them, I prostrated myself in worship at the feet of the angel that showed them to me.
8 Eu, João, sou aquele que ouviu e viu todas essas coisas. E, quando as ouvi e vi, caí aos pés do anjo que as mostrou a mim, a fim de adorá-lo.
9 But he said to me — ‘Forbear; I am your fellow servant, and the fellow servant of your fellow prophets, and of all who lay to heart the words in this book. Worship God.’
9 Mas ele disse: “Não faça isso! Sou um servo, como você e seus irmãos, os profetas, e como todos os que obedecem ao que está escrito neste livro. Adore somente a Deus!”.
10 Then the angel said to me — ‘Do not keep secret the words of the prophecy contained in this book; for the time is near.
10 Em seguida, disse: “Não lacre com um selo as palavras proféticas deste livro, porque o tempo está próximo.
11 Let the wrong-doer continue to do wrong; the filthy-minded continue to be filthy; the righteous continue to act righteously; and the holy-minded continue to be holy.’
11 Que o mau continue a praticar a maldade; que o impuro continue a ser impuro; que o justo continue a viver de forma justa; que o santo continue a ser santo”.
12 (‘I will come quickly. I bring my rewards with me, to give to each what their actions deserve.
12 “Vejam, eu venho em breve e trago comigo a recompensa para retribuir a cada um de acordo com seus atos.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the End.’)
13 Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, o Primeiro e o Último, o Princípio e o Fim.”
14 Blessed will they be who wash their robes, that they may have the right to approach the Tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.
14 Felizes aqueles que lavam suas vestes. A eles será permitido entrar pelas portas da cidade e comer do fruto da árvore da vida.
15 Outside will be the filthy, the sorcerers, the impure, the murderers, the idolaters, and all who love the false and live it.’
15 Do lado de fora da cidade ficam os cães: os feiticeiros, os sexualmente impuros, os assassinos, os adoradores de ídolos e todos que gostam de praticar a mentira.
16 ‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear testimony to you about these things before the churches. I am the Scion and the Offspring of David, the bright star of the Morning.’
16 “Eu, Jesus, enviei meu anjo a fim de lhes dar esta mensagem para as igrejas. Eu sou a origem de Davi e o herdeiro de seu trono. Sou a brilhante estrela da manhã.”
17 ‘Come,’ say the Spirit and the Bride; and let him who hears say ‘Come.’ Let him who thirsts come; let him who will take the water of life freely.
17 O Espírito e a noiva dizem: “Vem!”. Que todo aquele que ouve diga: “Vem!”. Quem tiver sede, venha. Quem quiser, beba de graça da água da vida.
18 I declare to all who hear the words of the prophecy contained in this book — ‘If anyone adds to it, God will add to his troubles the curses described in this book;
18 Declaro solenemente a todos que ouvem as palavras da profecia registrada neste livro: Se alguém acrescentar algo ao que está escrito aqui, Deus acrescentará a essa pessoa as pragas descritas neste livro.
19 and if anyone takes away any of the words in the book containing this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of life, and in the Holy City — as described in this book.’
19 E, se alguém retirar qualquer uma das palavras deste livro de profecia, Deus lhe retirará a participação na árvore da vida e na cidade santa descritas neste livro.
20 He whose testimony this is says — ‘Assuredly I will come quickly.’‘Amen, come, Lord Jesus.’
20 Aquele que é testemunha fiel de todas essas coisas diz: “Sim, venho em breve!”. Amém! Vem, Senhor Jesus!
21 May the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with his people.
21 Que a graça do Senhor Jesus esteja com todos.
