¹ God is our refuge and strength; An ever present help in trouble.

¹ Ao Músico-chefe, para os filhos de Corá. Uma canção sobre Alamote. Deus é o nosso refúgio e força, um socorro bem presente na tribulação.

² Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be changed; Though the mountains tremble in the heart of the sea;

² Portanto, não temeremos, ainda que a terra seja removida, e ainda que os montes sejam transportados para o meio do mar.

³ Though its waters roar and be troubled, And the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. [Pause.]

³ Ainda que suas águas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se sacudam com o seu inchar. Selá.

⁴ A river with its streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling-place of the Most High.

⁵ God is the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her, and that full early.

⁶ The nations raged; kingdoms were moved; He uttered his voice, the earth melted.

⁸ Come, behold the doings of the LORD; What desolations he hath made in the earth!

⁸ Vinde, contemplai as obras do SENHOR, que desolações ele causou na terra.

⁹ He causeth wars to cease to the end of the earth; He hath broken the bow, and snapped the spear asunder, And burned the chariots in fire.

⁹ Ele faz cessar as guerras até o fim da terra; ele quebra o arco e corta a lança pela metade. Ele queima a carruagem no fogo.

¹⁰ "Desist, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted throughout the earth!"
