1 In that day the LORD with His great and fierce and strong sword shall punish the sea-monster, the darting serpent, the sea-monster, that twisting serpent; and He shall kill the monster in the sea.
1 Naquele dia, o Senhor castigará com a sua dura espada, grande e forte, o dragão, serpente veloz, e o dragão, serpente sinuosa, e matará o monstro que está no mar.
2 In that day sing to her, a delightful vineyard.
2 Naquele dia, dirá o Senhor : Cantai a vinha deliciosa!
3 I the LORD keep it; I will water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
3 Eu, o Senhor , a vigio e a cada momento a regarei; para que ninguém lhe faça dano, de noite e de dia eu cuidarei dela.
4 Fury is not in Me; who would set the briers and thorns against Me in battle? I would step through it; I would burn it at once.
4 Não há indignação em mim. Quem me dera espinheiros e abrolhos diante de mim! Em guerra, eu iria contra eles e juntamente os queimaria.
5 Or let them take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me.
5 Ou que homens se apoderem da minha força e façam paz comigo; sim, que façam paz comigo.
6 He shall cause those who come from Jacob to take root; Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
6 Dias virão em que Jacó lançará raízes, florescerá e brotará Israel, e encherão de fruto o mundo.
7 Has He stricken him, as He struck those who struck Him? Is He slain according to the slaughter of the slain by Him?
7 Porventura, feriu o Senhor a Israel como àqueles que o feriram? Ou o matou, assim como àqueles que o mataram?
8 By driving her away, you will contend with her; by sending her away, You punished her. He takes away by His rough wind, in the day of the east wind.
8 Com xô!, xô! e exílio o trataste; com forte sopro o expulsaste no dia do vento oriental.
9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in pieces, the Asherahs and sun-pillars shall not stand up.
9 Portanto, com isto será expiada a culpa de Jacó, e este é todo o fruto do perdão do seu pecado: quando o Senhor fizer a todas as pedras do altar como pedras de cal feitas em pedaços, não ficarão em pé os postes-ídolos e os altares do incenso.
10 Yet the fortified city shall be wasted, and the dwelling forsaken and left like a wilderness; there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down and eat up its branches.
10 Porque a cidade fortificada está solitária, habitação desamparada e abandonada como um deserto; ali pastam os bezerros, deitam-se e devoram os seus ramos.
11 When its branches are dried up, they shall be broken off; the women come and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding. Therefore His Maker will not have mercy on them, and He who formed them will not favor them.
11 Quando os seus ramos se secam, são quebrados. Então, vêm as mulheres e lhes deitam fogo, porque este povo não é povo de entendimento; por isso, aquele que o fez não se compadecerá dele, e aquele que o formou não lhe perdoará.
12 And it shall be, in that day the LORD shall thresh from the stream of the river Euphrates to the brook of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O sons of Israel.
12 Naquele dia, em que o Senhor debulhará o seu cereal desde o Eufrates até ao ribeiro do Egito; e vós, ó filhos de Israel, sereis colhidos um a um.
13 And it shall be, in that day the great ram's horn shall be blown, and those perishing in the land of Assyria shall come, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt shall come and shall worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
13 Naquele dia, se tocará uma grande trombeta, e os que andavam perdidos pela terra da Assíria e os que forem desterrados para a terra do Egito tornarão a vir e adorarão ao Senhor no monte santo em Jerusalém.
