1 And these are the generations of Esau, that is Edom.
1 São estes os descendentes de Esaú, que é Edom.
2 Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan, Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
2 Esaú tomou por mulheres dentre as filhas de Canaã: Ada, filha de Elom, heteu; Oolibama, filha de Aná, filho de Zibeão, heveu;
3 And Basemath the daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebajoth.
3 e Basemate, filha de Ismael, irmã de Nebaiote.
4 And Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau. And Basemath bore Reuel.
4 A Ada de Esaú lhe nasceu Elifaz, a Basemate lhe nasceu Reuel;
5 And Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
5 e a Oolibama nasceu Jeús, Jalão e Corá; são estes os filhos de Esaú, que lhe nasceram na terra de Canaã.
6 And Esau took his wives and his sons and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into the country away from the face of his brother Jacob.
6 Levou Esaú suas mulheres, e seus filhos, e suas filhas, e todas as pessoas de sua casa, e seu rebanho, e todo o seu gado, e toda propriedade, tudo que havia adquirido na terra de Canaã; e se foi para outra terra, apartando-se de Jacó, seu irmão.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together. And the land of their travels could not bear them because of their cattle.
7 Porque os bens deles eram muitos para habitarem juntos; e a terra de suas peregrinações não os podia sustentar por causa do seu gado.
8 And Esau lived in Mount Seir. Esau is Edom.
8 Então, Esaú, que é Edom, habitou no monte Seir.
9 And these are the generations of Esau, the father of the Edomites, in Mount Seir.

10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau; Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
10 São estes os nomes dos filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, filho de Ada, mulher de Esaú; Reuel, filho de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
11 Os filhos de Elifaz são: Temã, Omar, Zefô, Gaetã e Quenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz, Esau's son. And she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These were the sons of Adah, Esau's wife.
12 Timna era concubina de Elifaz, filho de Esaú, e teve de Elifaz a Amaleque; são estes os filhos de Ada, mulher de Esaú.
13 And these were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah; these were the sons of Basemath, Esau's wife.
13 E os filhos de Reuel são estes: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá; estes foram os filhos de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
14 And these were the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife. And she bore to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
14 E são estes os filhos de Oolibama, filha de Aná, filho de Zibeão, mulher de Esaú; e deu a Esaú: Jeús, Jalão e Corá.
15 These were the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the first-born of Esau: Chief Teman, Chief Omar, Chief Zepho, Chief Kenaz,
15 São estes os príncipes dos filhos de Esaú; os filhos de Elifaz, o primogênito de Esaú: o príncipe Temã, o príncipe Omar, o príncipe Zefô, o príncipe Quenaz,
16 Chief Korah, Chiefs Gatam, Chief Amalek. These were the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these the sons of Adah.
16 o príncipe Corá, o príncipe Gaetã, o príncipe Amaleque; são estes os príncipes que nasceram a Elifaz na terra de Edom; são os filhos de Ada.
17 And these were the sons of Reuel, Esau's son: Chief Nahath, and Chief Zerah, Chief Shammah, Chief Mizzah. These were the chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom. These were the sons of Basemath, Esau's wife.
17 São estes os filhos de Reuel, filho de Esaú: o príncipe Naate, o príncipe Zerá, o príncipe Samá, o príncipe Mizá; são estes os príncipes que nasceram a Reuel na terra de Edom; são os filhos de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
18 And these were the sons of Oholibamah, Esau's wife: Chief Jeush, Chief Jaalam, Chief Korah. These were the chiefs of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
18 São estes os filhos de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú: o príncipe Jeús, o príncipe Jalão, o príncipe Corá; são estes os príncipes que procederam de Oolibama, filha de Aná, mulher de Esaú.
19 These were the sons of Esau, and these their chiefs. He is Edom.
19 São estes os filhos de Esaú, e esses seus príncipes; ele é Edom.
20 These were the sons of Seir the Horite living in the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
20 São estes os filhos de Seir, o horeu, moradores da terra: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão e Aná,
21 and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
21 Disom, Eser e Disã; são estes os príncipes dos horeus, filhos de Seir na terra de Edom.
22 And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Heman; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
22 Os filhos de Lotã são Hori e Homã; a irmã de Lotã é Timna.
23 And these were the sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
23 São estes os filhos de Sobal: Alvã, Manaate, Ebal, Sefô e Onã.
24 And these were the sons of Zibeon: both Aiah and Anah (he is Anah that found the hot springs in the desert as he fed the asses of Zibeon, his father).

28 The sons of Dishan were these: Uz and Aran.

29 These were the chiefs of the Horites: Chief Lotan, Chief Shobal, Chief Zibeon, Chief Anah,
29 São estes os príncipes dos horeus: o príncipe Lotã, o príncipe Sobal, o príncipe Zibeão, o príncipe Aná,
30 Chief Dishon, Chief Ezer, Chief Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
30 o príncipe Disom, o príncipe Eser, o príncipe Disã; são estes os príncipes dos horeus, segundo os seus principados na terra de Seir.
31 And these were the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king over the sons of Israel.
31 São estes os reis que reinaram na terra de Edom, antes que houvesse rei sobre os filhos de Israel.
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom. And the name of his city was Dinhabah.
32 Em Edom reinou Belá, filho de Beor, e o nome da sua cidade era Dinabá.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah, from Bozrah, reigned in his place.

40 And these were the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: Chief Timnah, Chief Alvah, Chief Jetheth,
40 São estes os nomes dos príncipes de Esaú, segundo as suas famílias, os seus lugares e os seus nomes: o príncipe Timna, o príncipe Alva, o príncipe Jetete,
41 Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,
