1 And the LORD said to Moses, cut out two tablets of stone like the first. And I will write upon the tablets the words that were in the first tablets which you broke.
1 O S enhor disse a Moisés: “Corte duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras. Nelas escreverei as mesmas palavras que estavam nas tábuas que você despedaçou.
2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me in the top of the mountain.
2 Esteja pronto amanhã cedo para subir ao Sinai e apresentar-se diante de mim no topo do monte.
3 And no man shall come up with you, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mountain. Also do not let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.
3 Ninguém deve acompanhá-lo. Aliás, ninguém deve aparecer em parte alguma do monte. Não permita sequer que os rebanhos pastem próximo ao monte”.
4 And he cut out two tablets of stone like the first. And Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tablets of stone.
4 Moisés cortou as duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras. Logo de manhã, subiu ao monte Sinai conforme o S enhor havia ordenado, levando nas mãos as duas tábuas de pedra.
5 And the LORD came down in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
5 Então o S enhor desceu em uma nuvem, ficou ali com Moisés e anunciou seu nome, Javé.
6 And the LORD passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah! Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
6 O S enhor passou diante de Moisés, proclamando: “Javé! O S O Deus de compaixão e misericórdia! Sou lento para me irar e cheio de amor e fidelidade.
7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the sons, and on the sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation.
7 Cubro de amor mil gerações e perdoo o mal, a rebeldia e o pecado. Contudo, não absolvo o culpado; trago as consequências do pecado dos pais sobre os filhos até a terceira e quarta geração”.
8 And Moses made haste and bowed toward the earth, and worshiped.
8 No mesmo instante, Moisés se prostrou com o rosto no chão e adorou.
9 And he said, If now I have found grace in Your sight, O LORD, I pray You, let my Lord go among us. For it is a stiff-necked people. And pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance.
9 Em seguida, disse: “Senhor, se é verdade que te agradas de mim, peço que nos acompanhes na jornada. É verdade que o povo é teimoso e rebelde, mas eu te peço que perdoes nossa maldade e nosso pecado. Toma-nos como tua propriedade especial”.
10 And He said, Behold! I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation. And all the people in whose midst you are shall see the work of the LORD, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
10 O S enhor respondeu: “Faço hoje uma aliança com você na presença de todo o seu povo. Realizarei maravilhas jamais vistas em nação alguma ou lugar algum da terra. E todos ao seu redor verão o poder do S enhor , o poder temível que demonstrarei em seu favor.
11 Observe that which I command you this day. Behold! I drive out before you the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
11 Observe com atenção, porém, tudo que eu lhe ordeno hoje. Irei à sua frente e expulsarei os amorreus, os cananeus, os hititas, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus.
12 Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the people of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you.
12 “Tenha muito cuidado para não assinar tratados com os povos que vivem na terra para a qual você está indo. Se o fizer, seguirá pelos maus caminhos deles e cairá numa armadilha.
13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves.
13 Em vez disso, destrua os altares idólatras, despedace as colunas sagradas e derrube os postes dedicados à deusa Aserá.
14 For you shall worship no other god. For the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God;
14 Não adore outros deuses, pois o S enhor , cujo nome é Zeloso, é Deus zeloso de seu relacionamento com vocês.
15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and call you, and you eat of his sacrifice;
15 “Não faça tratado algum com os povos que vivem na terra. No culto a seus deuses, eles se prostituem e oferecem sacrifícios. Eles o convidarão para comer dessas ofertas, e você aceitará o convite.
16 and lest you take from their daughters for your sons, and their daughters go whoring after their gods and make your sons go whoring after their gods.
16 Depois, aceitará que as filhas deles, as quais sacrificam a outros deuses, se casem com seus filhos. Elas seduzirão seus filhos para que se prostituam adorando outros deuses.
17 You shall make you no molten gods.
17 Não faça para si deuses de metal fundido.
18 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. You shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time of the month Abib. For in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.
18 “Celebre a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento. Durante sete dias, coma seu pão sem fermento, conforme eu lhe ordenei. Celebre essa festa anualmente no tempo determinado, no mês de abibe, pois é o aniversário de sua partida do Egito.
19 All that opens the womb is Mine; and all yours male livestock, a firstling of ox or sheep.
19 “As primeiras crias de todos os animais me pertencem, incluindo os machos das primeiras crias de seus rebanhos de bois e ovelhas.
20 But the firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb. And if you do not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the first-born of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty.
20 Para resgatar a primeira cria de uma jumenta, entregue ao S enhor , como substituto, um cordeiro ou um cabrito. Caso você não resgate o animal, terá de quebrar o pescoço dele. Quanto aos primeiros filhos homens, será obrigatório resgatá-los. “Ninguém deve se apresentar diante de mim de mãos vazias.
21 You shall work six days, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.
21 “Você tem seis dias na semana para fazer os trabalhos habituais, mas no sétimo dia não deve trabalhar, mesmo nas épocas de arar e colher.
22 And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year's end.
22 “Celebre a Festa da Colheita com os primeiros frutos da colheita do trigo. Celebre também a Festa da Última Colheita no final da safra.
23 Three times in the year your men shall appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel.
23 Três vezes por ano, todos os homens de Israel comparecerão diante do Soberano, o S enhor , o Deus de Israel.
24 For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders. Neither shall any man desire your land when you shall go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year.
24 Expulsarei as outras nações de diante de você e aumentarei seu território, para que ninguém cobice sua terra enquanto você comparece diante do S enhor , seu Deus, três vezes por ano.
25 You shall not slaughter the blood of My sacrifice on leavened bread. Neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.
25 “Não ofereça o sangue de meus sacrifícios com pão que contenha fermento. Não guarde até a manhã seguinte carne alguma do sacrifício de Páscoa.
26 The first of the first-fruits of your land you shall bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
26 “Quando fizer a colheita, leve à casa do S enhor , seu Deus, o melhor de seus primeiros frutos. “Não cozinhe o cabrito no leite da mãe dele”.
27 And the LORD said to Moses, Write these words for yourself; for on the mouth of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.
27 O S enhor também disse a Moisés: “Escreva todas essas palavras, pois elas representam os termos da aliança que eu faço com você e com Israel”.
28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread, nor drank water. And He wrote upon the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
28 Moisés permaneceu no monte com o S enhor quarenta dias e quarenta noites. Durante todo esse tempo, não comeu pão nem bebeu água. E escreveu os termos da aliança, os dez mandamentos, nas tábuas de pedra.
29 And it happened as Moses was going down from the mountain of Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony being in Moses' hand as he went down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become luminous through His speaking with him.
29 Quando Moisés desceu do monte Sinai carregando as duas tábuas da aliança, não percebeu que seu rosto brilhava, pois ele havia falado com o S enhor .
30 And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to come near him.
30 Quando Arão e os israelitas viram o brilho do rosto de Moisés, tiveram medo de se aproximar dele.
31 And Moses called to them. And Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them.
31 Moisés, porém, chamou Arão e os líderes da comunidade, que se aproximaram, e Moisés falou com eles.
32 And afterward all the sons of Israel came near. And he commanded them all that the LORD had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
32 Em seguida, todo o povo se aproximou, e Moisés lhes transmitiu todas as instruções que o S enhor lhe tinha dado no monte Sinai.
33 And Moses finished speaking with them, and he put a veil on his face.
33 Quando Moisés terminou de falar com eles, cobriu o rosto com um véu.
34 But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he took the veil off until he came out. And he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel that which he was commanded.
34 No entanto, sempre que entrava na tenda da reunião para falar com o S enhor , tirava o véu até sair. Depois, transmitia ao povo as instruções que o S enhor lhe dava,
35 And the sons of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face had become luminous. And Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.
35 e os israelitas viam o brilho de seu rosto. Então Moisés cobria novamente o rosto com o véu até voltar para falar com o S enhor .
