1 And after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place, even to where He was about to come.
1 Depois disso, o Senhor escolheu outros setenta e os enviou de dois em dois, para que fossem adiante dele a cada cidade e lugar onde ele haveria de passar.
2 Therefore He said to them, Indeed the harvest is much, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He send out workers into His harvest.
2 E lhes disse:
3 Go! Behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.
3 Vão! Eis que eu os envio como cordeiros para o meio de lobos.
4 Do not carry a purse, nor a moneybag, nor sandals; and greet no one by the way.
4 Não levem bolsa, nem sacola, nem sandálias; e não saúdem ninguém pelo caminho.
5 And into whatever house you may enter, first say, Peace to this house.
5 Ao entrarem numa casa, digam primeiro: “Paz seja nesta casa!”
6 And if a son of peace is truly there, your peace shall rest on it; but if not so, it shall return to you.
6 Se houver ali uma pessoa que ama a paz, sobre ela repousará a paz de vocês; se não houver, a paz voltará sobre vocês.
7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking the things shared by them; for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Do not move from house to house.
7 Fiquem na mesma casa, comendo e bebendo do que eles tiverem; porque o trabalhador é digno do seu salário. Não fiquem mudando de casa em casa.
8 And into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things set before you.
8 Quando entrarem numa cidade e ali forem bem-recebidos, comam do que lhes for oferecido.
9 And heal the sick in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.
9 Curem os doentes que nela houver e digam ao povo dali: “O Reino de Deus se aproximou de vocês.”
10 But into whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, going out into its streets, say,
10 Porém, quando entrarem numa cidade e não forem bem-recebidos, saiam pelas ruas, dizendo:
11 Even the dust clinging to us out of your city, we shake off against you! Yet know this, that the kingdom of God has drawn near to you!
11 “Até o pó desta cidade, que grudou nos nossos pés, sacudimos contra vocês! No entanto, saibam que está próximo o Reino de Deus.”
12 And I say to you that it shall be more bearable for Sodom in that day than for that city!
12 Eu digo a vocês que, naquele dia, haverá menos rigor para Sodoma do que para aquela cidade.
13 Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the works of power which have been occurring in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago sitting in sackcloth and ashes!
13 — Ai de você, Corazim! Ai de você, Betsaida! Porque, se em Tiro e em Sidom se tivessem operado os milagres que foram feitos em vocês, há muito que elas teriam se arrependido, assentadas em pano de saco e cinza.
14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the Judgment than for you.
14 Mas, no Juízo, haverá menos rigor para Tiro e Sidom do que para vocês.
15 And you, Capernaum, were you not exalted to the heaven? "You will be thrust down to Hades!" Isa. 14:13, 15
15 — E você, Cafarnaum, pensa que será elevada até o céu? Será jogada no inferno!
16 The one hearing you hears Me, and the one rejecting you also rejects Me, and the one rejecting Me also rejects the One having sent Me.
16 — Quem ouve vocês ouve a mim; e quem rejeita vocês é a mim que rejeita; quem, porém, me rejeita está rejeitando aquele que me enviou.
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your Name.
17 Então os setenta voltaram, cheios de alegria, dizendo: — Senhor, em seu nome os próprios demônios se submetem a nós!
18 And He said to them, I saw Satan falling out of Heaven as lightning!
18 Jesus lhes disse:
19 Behold, I have given you the authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and on all the power of the Enemy, and nothing shall hurt you, not at all
19 Eis que eu dei a vocês autoridade para pisarem cobras e escorpiões e sobre todo o poder do inimigo, e nada, absolutamente, lhes causará dano.
20 But stop rejoicing in this, that the evil spirits submit to you. But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.
20 No entanto, alegrem-se, não porque os espíritos se submetem a vocês, e sim porque o nome de cada um de vocês está registrado no céu.
21 In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You.
21 Naquela hora, Jesus exultou no Espírito Santo e exclamou:
22 All things were delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father; and who is the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may desire to reveal Him .
22 — Tudo me foi entregue por meu Pai. Ninguém sabe quem é o Filho, a não ser o Pai; e também ninguém sabe quem é o Pai, a não ser o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho o quiser revelar.
23 And having turned to the disciples alone, He said, Blessed are the eyes seeing what you see.
23 E, voltando-se para os seus discípulos, Jesus lhes disse em particular:
24 For I say to you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.
24 Pois eu lhes digo que muitos profetas e reis quiseram ver o que vocês estão vendo, mas não viram; e quiseram ouvir o que vocês estão ouvindo, mas não ouviram.
25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, testing Him and saying, Teacher, What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
25 E eis que certo homem, intérprete da Lei, se levantou com o objetivo de pôr Jesus à prova e lhe perguntou: — Mestre, que farei para herdar a vida eterna?
26 And He said to him, What has been written in the Law? How do you read it ?
26 Então Jesus lhe perguntou:
27 And answering, he said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength," and with all your mind, and "your neighbor as yourself." Deut. 6:5; Lev. 19:18
27 A isto ele respondeu: — “Ame o Senhor, seu Deus, de todo o seu coração, de toda a sua alma, com todas as suas forças e todo o seu entendimento.” E: “Ame o seu próximo como você ama a si mesmo.”
28 And He said to him, You have answered rightly; do this, and you shall live.
28 Então Jesus lhe disse:
29 But desiring to justify himself, he said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
29 Mas ele, querendo justificar-se, perguntou a Jesus: — Quem é o meu próximo?
30 And taking it up, Jesus said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell in with robbers, who both stripping him and laying on blows, went away, leaving him being half dead.
30 Jesus prosseguiu, dizendo:
31 But by a coincidence, a certain priest was going on that road; and seeing him, he passed on the opposite side .
31 Por casualidade, um sacerdote estava descendo por aquele mesmo caminho e, vendo aquele homem, passou de largo.
32 And in the same way, a Levite, also being at the place, coming and seeing him , he passed on the opposite side .
32 De igual modo, um levita descia por aquele lugar e, vendo-o, passou de largo.
33 But a certain traveling Samaritan came upon him, and seeing him, he was filled with pity.
33 Certo samaritano, que seguia o seu caminho, passou perto do homem e, vendo-o, compadeceu-se dele.
34 And coming near, he bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. And putting him on his own animal, he brought him to an inn and cared for him.
34 E, aproximando-se, fez curativos nos ferimentos dele, aplicando-lhes óleo e vinho. Depois, colocou aquele homem sobre o seu próprio animal, levou-o para uma hospedaria e tratou dele.
35 And going forth on the morrow, taking out two denarii, he gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Care for him, and whatever more you spend, on my return I will repay to you.
35 No dia seguinte, separou dois denários e os entregou ao hospedeiro, dizendo: “Cuide deste homem. E, se você gastar algo a mais, farei o reembolso quando eu voltar.”
36 Who, then, of these three seems to you to have become a neighbor to the one having fallen among the robbers?
36 Então Jesus perguntou:
37 And he said, The one doing the deed of mercy with him. Then Jesus said to him, Go, and you do likewise.
37 O intérprete da Lei respondeu: — O que usou de misericórdia para com ele. Então Jesus lhe disse:
38 And as they went on, it happened, He also entered into a certain village. And a certain woman, Martha by name, received Him into her house.
38 Quando eles seguiam viagem, Jesus entrou numa aldeia. E certa mulher, chamada Marta, hospedou-o na sua casa.
39 And she had a sister being called Mary, who also was sitting alongside, at the feet of Jesus, and heard His word.
39 Marta tinha uma irmã, chamada Maria, que, assentada aos pés do Senhor, ouvia o seu ensino.
40 But Martha was distracted about much serving. And coming on she said, Lord, Is it not a care to You that my sister left me alone to serve? Then tell her that she should help me.
40 Marta agitava-se de um lado para outro, ocupada em muitos serviços. Então se aproximou de Jesus e disse: — O Senhor não se importa com o fato de minha irmã ter deixado que eu fique sozinha para servir? Diga-lhe que venha me ajudar.
41 But answering Jesus said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
41 Mas o Senhor respondeu:
42 But there is need of only one; and Mary chose the good part, which shall not be taken from her.
42 mas apenas uma é necessária. Maria escolheu a boa parte, e esta não lhe será tirada.
