Isaías 5

1 Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard: My Beloved has a vineyard in a fruitful horn.
1 Agora, cantarei ao meu amado o cântico do meu amado a respeito da sua vinha. O meu amado teve uma vinha num outeiro fertilíssimo.
2 And He dug it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in its midst, and also hewed out a wine vat in it. And He waited for it to produce grapes, but it produced rotten grapes.
2 Sachou-a, limpou-a das pedras e a plantou de vides escolhidas; edificou no meio dela uma torre e também abriu um lagar. Ele esperava que desse uvas boas, mas deu uvas bravas.
3 And now, O people of Jerusalem and men of Judah, I ask you, judge between Me and My vineyard.
3 Agora, pois, ó moradores de Jerusalém e homens de Judá, julgai, vos peço, entre mim e a minha vinha.
4 What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I waited for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes.
4 Que mais se podia fazer ainda à minha vinha, que eu lhe não tenha feito? E como, esperando eu que desse uvas boas, veio a produzir uvas bravas?
5 And now I will make known to you what I will do then to My vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be burned. I will breach its wall, and it will become a trampling ground.
5 Agora, pois, vos farei saber o que pretendo fazer à minha vinha: tirarei a sua sebe, para que a vinha sirva de pasto; derribarei o seu muro, para que seja pisada;
6 And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds from raining rain on it.
6 torná-la-ei em deserto. Não será podada, nem sachada, mas crescerão nela espinheiros e abrolhos; às nuvens darei ordem que não derramem chuva sobre ela.
7 For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!
7 Porque a vinha do Senhor dos Exércitos é a casa de Israel, e os homens de Judá são a planta dileta do Senhor ; este desejou que exercessem juízo, e eis aí quebrantamento da lei; justiça, e eis aí clamor.
8 Woe to those touching house to house, bringing near field to field until the end of space, and you are made to dwell alone in the middle of the land!
8 Ai dos que ajuntam casa a casa, reúnem campo a campo, até que não haja mais lugar, e ficam como únicos moradores no meio da terra!
9 Jehovah of Hosts has sworn in my ears, If not, many houses shall be a waste, big and beautiful ones without inhabitant.
9 A meus ouvidos disse o Senhor dos Exércitos: Em verdade, muitas casas ficarão desertas, até as grandes e belas, sem moradores.
10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.
10 E dez jeiras de vinha não darão mais do que um bato, e um ômer cheio de semente não dará mais do que um efa.
11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning to go after fermented drink, tarrying in the twilight while wine inflames them!
11 Ai dos que se levantam pela manhã e seguem a bebedice e continuam até alta noite, até que o vinho os esquenta!
12 And the lyre and the harp, the timbrel and flute, and wine are at their feasts; but they do not regard the work of Jehovah; yea, they do not see the work of His hands.
12 Liras e harpas, tamboris e flautas e vinho há nos seus banquetes; porém não consideram os feitos do Senhor , nem olham para as obras das suas mãos.
13 For this My people go into exile without knowledge, and his men of glory into famine; and his multitude is parched with thirst.
13 Portanto, o meu povo será levado cativo, por falta de entendimento; os seus nobres terão fome, e a sua multidão se secará de sede.
14 So Sheol has enlarged its appetite, and opened its mouth without measure, and her glory and her multitude, and her uproar, he who exults in her, shall come down in it.
14 Por isso, a cova aumentou o seu apetite, abriu a sua boca desmesuradamente; para lá desce a glória de Jerusalém, e o seu tumulto, e o seu ruído, e quem nesse meio folgava.
15 And man is bowed down, and man is humbled, and the eyes of the proud are humbled.
15 Então, a gente se abate, e o homem se avilta; e os olhos dos altivos são humilhados.
16 But Jehovah of Hosts is exalted in judgment, and God the Holy One is proven holy in righteousness.
16 Mas o Senhor dos Exércitos é exaltado em juízo; e Deus, o Santo, é santificado em justiça.
17 Then the lambs shall feed as in their pasture, and strangers shall eat the waste places of the fatlings.
17 Então, os cordeiros pastarão lá como se no seu pasto; e os nômades se nutrirão dos campos dos ricos lá abandonados.
18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as with ropes of a cart;
18 Ai dos que puxam para si a iniquidade com cordas de injustiça e o pecado, como com tirantes de carro!
19 who say, Let Him hurry and hasten His work, so that we may see; and let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, so that we may know!
19 E dizem: Apresse-se Deus, leve a cabo a sua obra, para que a vejamos; aproxime-se, manifeste-se o conselho do Santo de Israel, para que o conheçamos.
20 Woe to those who say to evil, good; and to good, evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
20 Ai dos que ao mal chamam bem e ao bem, mal; que fazem da escuridade luz e da luz, escuridade; põem o amargo por doce e o doce, por amargo!
21 Woe to those wise in their own eyes, and discerning in their own sight!
21 Ai dos que são sábios a seus próprios olhos e prudentes em seu próprio conceito!
22 Woe to those mighty to drink wine, and brave men to mix fermented drink;
22 Ai dos que são heróis para beber vinho e valentes para misturar bebida forte,
23 who justify the wicked for a bribe, and turn aside the righteousness of the righteous from him!
23 os quais por suborno justificam o perverso e ao justo negam justiça!
24 So, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and the flame burns up the chaff; their root shall be like rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up like dust, because they have cast away the law of Jehovah of Hosts; and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
24 Pelo que, como a língua de fogo consome o restolho, e a erva seca se desfaz pela chama, assim será a sua raiz como podridão, e a sua flor se esvaecerá como pó; porquanto rejeitaram a lei do Senhor dos Exércitos e desprezaram a palavra do Santo de Israel.
25 On account of this the anger of Jehovah is kindled on His people, and He has stretched out His hand against them, and has struck them; and the mountains quaked, and their dead bodies were as filth in the midst of the streets. In all this His anger does not turn away, but His hand is stretched out still.
25 Por isso, se acende a ira do Senhor contra o seu povo, povo contra o qual estende a mão e o fere, de modo que tremem os montes e os seus cadáveres são como monturo no meio das ruas. Com tudo isto não se aplaca a sua ira, mas ainda está estendida a sua mão.
26 And He will lift up a banner to distant nations, and will hiss to them from the ends of the earth; and, behold, it shall come with swift speed!
26 Ele arvorará o estandarte para as nações distantes e lhes assobiará para que venham das extremidades da terra; e vêm apressadamente.
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none will slumber nor sleep; nor shall the waist cloth of their loins be opened, nor the thong of their sandals broken;
27 Não há entre elas cansado, nem quem tropece; ninguém tosqueneja, nem dorme; não se lhe desata o cinto dos seus lombos, nem se lhe rompe das sandálias a correia.
28 whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses' hooves shall appear as flint, and their wheels like a hurricane.
28 As suas flechas são agudas, e todos os seus arcos, retesados; as unhas dos seus cavalos dizem-se de pederneira, e as rodas dos seus carros, um redemoinho.
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion; they shall roar like young lions. Yea, they roar and seize the prey, and carry it away; and no one shall deliver.
29 O seu rugido é como o do leão; rugem como filhos de leão, e, rosnando, arrebatam a presa, e a levam, e não há quem a livre.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea; when one looks to the land, and lo, darkness! Distress! And light shall be darkened by its clouds.
30 Bramam contra eles naquele dia, como o bramido do mar; se alguém olhar para a terra, eis que só há trevas e angústia, e a luz se escurece em densas nuvens.
