1 And Joseph was not able to control himself in regard to those standing beside him. And he called out, Cause every man to go out from me. And no man stood before him as Joseph was making himself known to his brothers.
1 Então José não se pôde conter diante de todos os que estavam com ele, e ele clamou: Fazei sair todo homem de diante de mim. E não havia homem algum com ele, enquanto José se deu a conhecer a seus irmãos.
2 And he wept aloud; and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.
2 E ele chorou em voz alta, e os egípcios e a casa de Faraó ouviu.
3 And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph. Is my father still alive? And his brothers were not able to answer him, for they trembled before him.
3 E José disse a seus irmãos: Eu sou José; acaso ainda vive o meu pai? E seus irmãos não lhe puderam responder, pois eles estavam conturbados com a sua presença.
4 And Joseph said to his brothers, Now come near to me And they came near. And he said, I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.
4 E José disse a seus irmãos: Aproximai-vos de mim, rogo-vos. E eles se aproximaram. E ele disse: Eu sou José, vosso irmão, a quem vendestes ao Egito.
5 And now do not be grieved, and let no anger be in your eyes because you sold me here for God sent me before you to save life.
5 Agora, pois, não vos entristeçais, nem vos ireis convosco mesmos, por terdes me vendido para cá; pois Deus me enviou adiante de vós para preservar a vida.
6 For the famine has been in the midst of the land for two years. And there are still five years in which no plowing and harvest will be .
6 Por estes dois anos a fome esteve na terra; e ainda há cinco anos nos quais não haverá cultivo nem colheita.
7 And God sent me before you to put a remnant in the land for you, and to keep alive for you a great deliverance.
7 E Deus me enviou adiante de vós para preservar para vós uma posteridade na terra, e para salvar as vossas vidas com grande livramento.
8 And now you did not send me here, but God. And He has placed me for a father to Pharaoh, and for a lord in all his house, and a ruler in all the land of Egypt.
8 Então, agora, não fostes vós que me enviastes aqui, mas Deus. E ele me fez pai de Faraó, e senhor sobre toda a sua casa, e governador de toda a terra do Egito.
9 Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, So says your son Joseph, God has placed me as a lord to all Egypt. Come down to me, do not delay.
9 Apressai-vos e subi a meu pai, e dizei-lhe: Assim diz teu filho José: Deus me fez senhor de todo o Egito. Desce até mim, e não te demores,
10 And you shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your sons and sons of your sons, and your flocks, and your herds, and all you have.
10 e tu habitará na terra de Gósen, e estarás perto de mim, tu, e teus filhos, e os filhos de teus filhos, e teus rebanhos, e teu gado, e tudo que tens.
11 And I will nourish you there, for there are still five years of famine; lest you be made poor, you and your house and all which belong to you.
11 E ali eu te sustentarei, pois ainda há cinco anos de fome, para que tu e tua casa e tudo que tens não vades à pobreza.
12 And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that my mouth is speaking to you.
12 E eis que vossos olhos veem, e os olhos de meu irmão Benjamim, que é minha boca que está falando convosco.
13 And you tell my father of all my honor in Egypt, and all that you have seen. And hurry and bring down my father here.
13 E contareis a meu pai de toda a minha glória no Egito, e de tudo o que tendes visto; apressar-vos-eis, e trareis meu pai para cá.
14 And he fell on the neck of his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.
14 E ele caiu sobre o pescoço de seu irmão Benjamim, e chorou, e Benjamim chorou sobre o pescoço dele.
15 And he kissed all his brothers, and wept on them. And afterwards his brothers spoke with him.
15 Além disso, ele beijou todos os seus irmãos, e chorou sobre eles. E depois disso, seus irmãos falaram com ele.
16 And the report was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, The brothers of Joseph have come. And it was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants.
16 E essa notícia foi ouvida na casa de Faraó, dizendo: Os irmãos de José vieram. E isso agradou muito a Faraó e a seus servos.
17 Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this; load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan.
17 E Faraó disse a José: Dize a teus irmãos: Fazei isto: Carregai vossos animais, e parti, e ide à terra de Canaã,
18 And take your father, and your houses, and come to me. And I will give to you the good of the land of Egypt; and you shall eat the fat of the land.
18 e tomai vosso pai e vossas famílias, e vinde a mim, e eu vos darei o bom da terra do Egito, e vós comereis a gordura da terra.
19 And you are commanded; you do this: Take for yourselves wagons from the land of Egypt, for your little ones, and for your wives. And take your father and come.
19 A ti, agora, ordeno: Fazei isto: Tomai carroças da terra do Egito para vossos pequenos, e para vossas mulheres, e trazei vosso pai, e vinde.
20 And your eye, let it have no regard for your vessels, for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
20 Também não considereis os vossos bens, pois o melhor de toda a terra do Egito é vosso.
21 And the sons of Israel did so. And Joseph gave wagons to them according to the mouth of Pharaoh, and he gave provision to them for the way.
21 E os filhos de Israel assim fizeram. E José lhes deu carroças, de acordo com a ordem de Faraó, e lhes deu provisões para o caminho.
22 He gave to all of them, to each one, changes of clothing. And he gave to Benjamin three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of clothing.
22 A todos eles deu, a cada homem, mudas de roupas; mas a Benjamim ele deu trezentas peças de prata, e cinco mudas de roupas.
23 And to his father he sent this: ten asses bearing the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses bearing grain, and bread, and food for his father for the way.
23 E para seu pai ele enviou desta maneira: dez jumentos carregados com as coisas boas do Egito, e dez jumentas carregadas com trigo e pão e alimento para seu pai, para o caminho.
24 And he sent his brothers away; and they went. And he said to them, Do not quarrel along the way.
24 Assim ele enviou seus irmãos, e eles partiram. E ele lhes disse: Vede para que não contendais pelo caminho.
25 And they went up from Egypt and came into the land of Canaan, to their father Jacob.
25 E eles subiram e saíram do Egito, e vieram à terra de Canaã até Jacó, seu pai;
26 And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler in all the land of Egypt. And his heart froze up, for he did not believe them.
26 e lhe contaram, dizendo: José ainda está vivo, e ele é governador sobre toda a terra do Egito. E o coração de Jacó desfaleceu, pois ele não acreditou neles.
27 And they spoke to him all Joseph's words which he had spoken to them. And he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him; and the spirit of their father Jacob revived.
27 E eles lhe contaram todas as palavras de José, que ele lhes havia dito. E quando ele viu as carroças que José havia enviado para levá-lo, reviveu o espírito de Jacó, seu pai;
28 And Israel said, It is enough! My son Joseph is alive; I will go and see him before I die.
28 E Israel disse: Isto é o suficiente! José, meu filho, ainda está vivo. Eu irei e o verei antes que eu morra.
