1 And it happened in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of Jehovah was to me, saying,
1 No décimo segundo ano, no primeiro dia do décimo segundo mês, foi-me a palavra do Senhor dirigida nestes termos,
2 Son of man, take up a lament over Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and say to him, You were like a young lion of the nations, and you were like the monster in the seas. And you gushed in your rivers and stirred up the waters with your feet and fouled their rivers.
2 filho do homem, entoa sobre o faraó, rei do Egito, a seguinte ode fúnebre: Jovem leão das nações, pereceste! Eras semelhante ao crocodilo no seio das águas; tu te lançavas nos rios, com tuas patas perturbavas a água, agitando a torrente.
3 So says the Lord Jehovah: So I will spread out My net over you with an assembly of many peoples, and they will lift you up in My net.
3 Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: estenderei sobre ti o o meu laço perante grande concurso de povo; serás tirado para fora, na rede.
4 Then I will leave you on the land; I will hurl you on the face of the field and will make all the birds of the heavens to dwell on you, And I will fill the beasts of all the earth from you.
4 Lá te deixarei sobre o solo; lançar-te-ei por terra, farei vir sobre ti todos os pássaros do céu, dar-te-ei por pasto a todos os animais da terra,
5 And I will put your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your height.
5 largarei teu cadáver sobre as montanhas, encherei os vales com os teus destroços.
6 And I will also make the land drink your discharge of your blood, to the mountains, and the ravines shall be full of you.
6 Com o líquido que de ti correr, regarei as montanhas, teu sangue encherá as torrentes.
7 And I will cover the heavens when I quench you, and I will darken their stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.
7 Quando estiveres morto, velarei os céus, obscurecerei as estrelas, cobrirei o solo de nuvens, e a lua cessará de clarear.
8 I will darken all the shining lights in the heavens over you and will give darkness on your land, declares the Lord Jehovah.
8 Eu obumbrarei todos os astros do céu por tua causa; sobre a terra estenderei trevas - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
9 I will also vex the heart of many peoples when I bring your breaking among the nations, to the lands which you have not known.
9 Mergulharei na dor o coração de inúmeras gentes, enviando teus cativos entre as nações, a terras que não conheces;
10 And I will make many people appalled at you, and their kings will be horribly afraid at you, when I make My sword fly before their faces. And they shall quake at every moment, each man for his own life, in the day of your fall.
10 farei tremer por causa de ti numerosos povos, cujos reis serão enregelados de horror; quando eu brandir diante deles a minha espada, eles tremerão sem cessar, pela sua própria vida, no dia da tua queda.
11 For so says the Lord Jehovah: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come on you.
11 Eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: a espada do rei de Babilônia virá sobre ti.
12 By the swords of the mighty I will make your host fall, by the fearful of the nations, all of them. And they shall spoil the pride of Egypt, and all its host shall be destroyed.
12 Farei tombar todo o teu povo sob o gládio dos guerreiros; os mais ferozes de todos os povos abaterão o orgulho do Egito. Sua população inteira será aniquilada.
13 I will also destroy all her beasts from on the great waters, and the foot of man shall not stir them any longer, and the hoofs of beasts shall not stir them up.
13 Exterminarei todo o seu gado às margens de seus grandes rios, cujas águas não mais serão perturbadas por nenhum pé de homem nem de animal.
14 Then I will make their waters sink and cause their rivers to run as oil, says the Lord Jehovah.
14 Então deixarei repousar as suas águas, farei correr as águas como óleo, - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
15 When I shall make the land of Egypt a ruin, and the land shall be stripped of its fullness when I shall strike all those who dwell in it; then they shall know that I am Jehovah.
15 Quando eu houver reduzido o Egito a um deserto, quando ele estiver despojado de tudo o que contém, quando eu tiver ferido seus habitantes, saber-se-á que sou eu o Senhor.
16 This is the lament, and they shall lament her; the daughters of the nations shall lament her. Over Egypt and over all her multitude, they shall lament her, declares the Lord Jehovah.
16 Tal é a ode fúnebre que cantarão as filhas das nações; elas a cantarão sobre o Egito e seus habitantes, - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
17 And it happened in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, the word of Jehovah was to me, saying,
17 No décimo segundo ano, no décimo quinto dia do... mês, foi-me a palavra do Senhor dirigida nestes termos:
18 Son of man, wail over the host of Egypt, and bring it down, her and the daughters of the majestic nations, to the earth's lowest parts, with those going down to the Pit.
18 filho do homem, entoa um cântico fúnebre sobre o povo do Egito: faze-os descer, ele e as filhas das nações, às moradas infernais, com aqueles que descem à fossa.
19 Than whom are you more lovely? Go down and be laid with the uncircumcised.
19 Eles tombarão no meio dos que pereceram pela espada; toda a sua força desaparecerá.
20 They shall fall in the midst of the slain of the sword. She is given to the sword, they draw her and all her multitudes.
20 A elite dos heróis com seus aliados dirão ao faraó, do seio da região dos mortos:
21 The strong of the mighty shall speak to him from the midst of Sheol, they went with his helpers; they, the uncircumcised, lie slain by the sword.
21 não vales mais do que os outros. Desce; deita-te aos pés dos incircuncisos, dos que pereceram pela espada.
22 There is Assyria and all her assembly. All around him are his graves, all of them are slain, fallen by the sword;
22 É lá que se encontram Assur e todo o seu exército em torno do seu sepulcro, todos degolados, feridos pela espada;
23 of whom are given her graves in the recesses of the Pit, and her assembly is all around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, because they gave terror in the land of the living.
23 foram postos seus túmulos no mais profundo da fossa; seu exército está ordenado em torno de seu sepulcro, todos degolados, feridos pela espada, eles, que haviam semeado o terror na terra dos vivos.
24 There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised into the earth's lowest parts, who gave their terror in the land of the living. Yet they bore their shame with those going down to the Pit.
24 É lá que se encontram Elão e seu exército, em volta do seu sepulcro; todos degolados, feridos pela espada, lá desceram eles incircuncisos às moradas subterrâneas. Os que haviam semeado o terror sobre a terra dos vivos levam sua ignomínia com os que descem à fossa.
25 In the midst of the slain they have put a bed for her, with all her multitude. Her graves are all around him, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword. Though their terror was given in the land of the living, yet they have borne their shame with those going down to the Pit; he is put among the slain.
25 No meio desses mortos, foi-lhe dado seu lugar, com suas tropas que rodeiam o túmulo, todos incircuncisos, degolados, traspassados pela espada; os que haviam semeado o terror sobre a terra dos vivos levam sua ignomínia com os que desceram à fossa, e estão colocados entre os mortos.
26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude. All around him are her graves, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they gave their terror in the land of the living.
26 É lá que se encontram Méchec, Tubal e suas tropas em torno dos seus sepulcros, todos incircuncisos, degolados pela espada. Eles, que haviam semeado o terror na terra dos vivos.
27 And they shall not lie with the mighty of the uncircumcised who are fallen, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war. And they have put their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be on their bones, though the terror of the mighty was in the land of the living.
27 eles não jazem entre os heróis que outrora tombaram, que desceram à morada dos mortos com suas armas de guerra, sobre cuja cabeça foi colocada sua espada e seu escudo sobre seus ossos, porque sua valentia era temida na terra dos vivos.
28 And you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised and shall lie with the slain by the sword.
28 Mas tu estarás deitado entre os incircuncisos, entre os que morreram a fio de espada.
29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her rulers, who are placed in their might with the slain of the sword. They shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those going down to the Pit.
29 É lá que se encontram Edom, seus reis e todos os seus príncipes, que foram postos, a despeito de sua valentia, com as vítimas da espada; ei-los jazendo com os incircuncisos, entre aqueles que desceram à fossa.
30 These are the rulers of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who have gone down with the slain in their terror. They are ashamed of their might. And they lie uncircumcised with those slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those going down to the Pit.
30 É lá que se encontram todos os príncipes do norte, assim como os sidônios que, apesar do terror inspirado pela sua valentia, lá desceram com os mortos. Eles jazem entre os incircuncisos, entre as vítimas da espada, e trazem sua ignomínia com aqueles que desceram à fossa.
31 Pharaoh shall see them and be cheered over all his multitude, those slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all the army, declares the Lord Jehovah.
31 Vendo-os todos, o faraó se consolará da sorte de seu povo; porque o faraó estará transpassado pela espada com todo o seu exército - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
32 For I had put his terror in the land of the living, but he will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those slain by sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude, declares Jehovah.
32 A despeito do terror que ele tinha semeado sobre a terra dos vivos, ei-lo que jaz entre os incircuncisos, no meio dos que foram mortos pela espada, o faraó, com todo o seu exército, - oráculo do Senhor Javé.
