Zacarias 12

1 An oracle. The word of Yahweh concerning Israel. “⌞Thus declares⌟ Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, founds the earth, and forms the spirit of humankind in its midst:
1 Esta é a mensagem que o S enhor anunciou acerca do destino de Israel: “Mensagem do S enhor , que estendeu os céus, lançou os alicerces da terra e formou o espírito humano.
2 ‘Look, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup of reeling for all the surrounding nations; it will also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.
2 Farei que Jerusalém seja como uma bebida que deixará as nações vizinhas cambaleando quando enviarem seus exércitos para cercar Jerusalém e Judá.
3 ⌞And then⌟ on that day I will make Jerusalem a stone weight for all the peoples. All those lifting it up will grievously hurt themselves, and all the nations of the earth will assemble against it.
3 Naquele dia, transformarei Jerusalém numa pedra pesada. Todas as nações se reunirão contra ela para tentar movê-la, mas só ferirão a si mesmas.
4 On that day,’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, ‘I will strike every horse with confusion, and the one riding it with madness; but over the house of Judah ⌞I will keep my eyes open⌟, and I will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
4 “Naquele dia”, diz o S enhor , “farei que todos os cavalos entrem em pânico e todos os cavaleiros enlouqueçam. Cuidarei do povo de Judá, mas cegarei todos os cavalos de seus inimigos.
5 And the clans of Judah will say ⌞to themselves⌟, “The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a strength to us, through Yahweh of hosts, their God.”
5 E as famílias de Judá pensarão: ‘Os habitantes de Jerusalém encontraram força no S enhor dos Exércitos, seu Deus’.
6 “ ‘On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a pan of fire among sticks of wood, and like a torch of fire among stalks of grain, and they will devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, and Jerusalem will be inhabited again in its place, in Jerusalem.
6 “Naquele dia, farei que as famílias de Judá sejam como uma chama que põe fogo num monte de lenha, ou como uma tocha acesa no meio de feixes de cereal. Elas incendiarão todas as nações vizinhas, à direita e à esquerda, enquanto os habitantes de Jerusalém permanecerão em segurança.
7 And Yahweh will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be exalted over Judah.
7 “O S enhor dará vitória primeiro ao restante de Judá, antes de Jerusalém, para que a honra dos habitantes de Jerusalém e da linhagem real de Davi não seja superior à honra do restante de Judá.
8 On that day Yahweh will put a shield around the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who stumbles among them on that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh, ⌞before them⌟.
8 Naquele dia, o S enhor defenderá os habitantes de Jerusalém; o mais fraco entre eles será como o rei Davi, e os descendentes do rei serão como Deus, como o anjo do S enhor que vai diante deles.
9 ⌞And then⌟ on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations coming against Jerusalem.
9 Pois, naquele dia, começarei a destruir todas as nações que atacarem Jerusalém.
10 “ ‘I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, and they will look to me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn over him, as one wails over an only child, and they will grieve bitterly over him as one grieves bitterly over a firstborn.
10 “Então derramarei um espírito de graça e oração sobre a linhagem de Davi e os habitantes de Jerusalém. Olharão para aquele a quem transpassaram e chorarão por ele como quem chora a morte do filho único; lamentarão amargamente por ele, como quem lamenta a perda do filho mais velho.
11 On that day the wailing will be great in Jerusalem, like the wailing for Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
11 Naquele dia, o pranto em Jerusalém será como o grande pranto por Hadade-Rimom no vale de Megido.
12 And the land shall mourn, ⌞each clan by itself⌟; the clan of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the clan of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves;
12 “Todo o Israel chorará, cada família separadamente, os maridos longe das esposas. A família de Davi chorará separadamente, bem como a família de Natã,
13 the clan of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the clan of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves;
13 a família de Levi e a família de Simei.
14 and all those clans remaining, ⌞each clan by itself⌟, and their wives by themselves.’ ”
14 Cada uma das famílias sobreviventes de Judá chorará separadamente, os maridos longe das esposas.”
