1 A maskil of David, when the Ziphites went and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?” O God, by your name save me, and by your power vindicate me.
1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome; defende-me pelo teu poder.
2 O God, hear my prayer; heed the words of my mouth.
2 Ouve a minha oração, ó Deus; escuta as minhas palavras.
3 For foreigners have risen against me, and ruthless men seek my life. They have not set God before them. Selah
3 Estrangeiros me atacam; homens cruéis querem matar-me, homens que não se importam com Deus. Pausa
4 See, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who sustain my life.
4 Certamente Deus é o meu auxílio; é o Senhor que me sustém.
5 He will repay my enemies for their evil; in your faithfulness destroy them.
5 Recaia o mal sobre os meus inimigos! Extermina-os por tua fidelidade!
6 I will freely sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O Yahweh, because it is good.
6 Eu te oferecerei um sacrifício voluntário; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque tu és bom.
7 Because he has delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has looked with satisfaction on my enemies.
7 Pois ele me livrou de todas as minhas angústias, e os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos.
