1 A maskil of David, when the Ziphites went and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?” O God, by your name save me, and by your power vindicate me.
1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e faze-me justiça pelo teu poder.
2 O God, hear my prayer; heed the words of my mouth.
2 Ó Deus, ouve a minha oração, dá ouvidos às palavras da minha boca.
3 For foreigners have risen against me, and ruthless men seek my life. They have not set God before them. Selah
3 Porque homens insolentes se levantam contra mim, e violentos procuram a minha vida; eles não põem a Deus diante de si.
4 See, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who sustain my life.
4 Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador; o Senhor é quem sustenta a minha vida.
5 He will repay my enemies for their evil; in your faithfulness destroy them.
5 Faze recair o mal sobre os meus inimigos; destrói-os por tua verdade.
6 I will freely sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O Yahweh, because it is good.
6 De livre vontade te oferecerei sacrifícios; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque é bom.
7 Because he has delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has looked with satisfaction on my enemies.
7 Porque tu me livraste de toda a angústia; e os meus olhos viram a ruína dos meus inimigos.
