1 O Yahweh, do not rebuke me in your anger or chastise me in your wrath.
1 Ó Senhor, não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.
2 For your arrows have sunk into me, and your hand has pressed down on me.
2 Porque as tuas flechas se cravaram em mim, e a tua mão sobre mim desceu.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation. There is no health in my bones because of my sin.
3 Não há coisa sã na minha carne, por causa da tua cólera; nem há paz em meus ossos, por causa do meu pecado.
4 For my iniquities have passed over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
4 Pois já as minhas iniqüidades ultrapassam a minha cabeça; como carga pesada são demais para as minhas forças.
5 My wounds start to stink; they rot because of my foolishness.
5 As minhas chagas cheiram mal e estão corruptas, por causa da minha loucura.
6 I am bowed down; I am bent over greatly. All the day I go about mourning.
6 Estou encurvado, estou muito abatido, ando lamentando todo o dia.
7 For my loins are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
7 Porque as minhas ilhargas estão cheias de ardor, e não há coisa sã na minha carne.
8 I am faint and crushed greatly; I groan because of the roaring of my heart.
8 Estou fraco e mui quebrantado; tenho rugido pela inquietação do meu coração.
9 O Lord, all my longing is before you, and my sighing is not hidden from you.
9 Senhor, diante de ti está todo o meu desejo, e o meu gemido não te é oculto.
10 My heart throbs violently, my strength leaves me; and the light of my eyes, that also is not with me.
10 O meu coração dá voltas, a minha força me falta; quanto à luz dos meus olhos, ela me deixou.
11 My friends and companions stand aloof from my affliction, and my relatives stand afar off.
11 Os meus amigos e os meus companheiros estão ao longe da minha chaga; e os meus parentes se põem à distância.
12 Those who seek my life lay snares as well, and those intent on my harm speak threats. They also plot deceit all day.
12 Também os que buscam a minha vida me armam laços e os que procuram o meu mal falam coisas que danificam, e imaginam astúcias todo o dia.
13 But as for me, like the deaf I cannot hear, and I am like the mute who cannot open his mouth.
13 Mas eu, como surdo, não ouvia, e era como mudo, que não abre a boca.
14 And so I am like a man who hears not, and in whose mouth there are no retorts.
14 Assim eu sou como homem que não ouve, e em cuja boca não há reprovação.
15 Rather for you I wait, O Yahweh. You will answer, O Lord my God.
15 Porque em ti, Senhor, espero; tu, Senhor meu Deus, me ouvirás.
16 For I said, “Help, lest they rejoice over me, lest they boast against me when my foot slips.”
16 Porque dizia eu: Ouve-me, para que não se alegrem de mim. Quando escorrega o meu pé, eles se engrandecem contra mim.
17 For I am ready to stumble, and my pain is before me continually.
17 Porque estou prestes a coxear; a minha dor está constantemente perante mim.
18 For my iniquity I confess; I am anxious because of my sin.
18 Porque eu declararei a minha iniqüidade; afligir-me-ei por causa do meu pecado.
19 And my enemies without cause are numerous, and those who hate me wrongfully are many.
19 Mas os meus inimigos estão vivos e são fortes, e os que sem causa me odeiam se multiplicam.
20 And those who repay evil in return for good accuse me in return for my pursuing good.
20 Os que dão mal pelo bem são meus adversários, porquanto eu sigo o que é bom.
21 Do not forsake me, O Yahweh. O my God, do not be far from me.
21 Não me desampares, Senhor, meu Deus, não te alongues de mim.
22 Hurry to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
22 Apressa-te em meu auxílio, Senhor, minha salvação.
