Jeremias 25

1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon,
1 A palavra que veio a Jeremias a respeito de todo o povo de Judá, no quarto ano de Jeoiaquim, o filho de Josias, rei de Judá, que foi o primeiro ano de Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia.
2 which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ⌞saying⌟,
2 A qual Jeremias, o profeta, falou para todo o povo de Judá, e para todos os habitantes de Jerusalém, dizendo:
3 “From the thirteenth year of Josiah, the son of Amon, the king of Judah, even up to this day, these twenty-three years the word of Yahweh has come to me, and ⌞I have spoken to you over and over again⌟, but you have not listened.
3 Desde o décimo terceiro ano de Josias, o filho de Amom, rei de Judá, até este dia, período de vinte e três anos, a palavra do SENHOR tem vindo até mim, e eu tenho falado para vós, madrugando e falando. Porém vós não tendes escutado.
4 And though Yahweh has sent all his servants the prophets to you ⌞over and over again⌟ you have not listened, and you have not inclined your ear to hear,
4 E o SENHOR vos enviou todos os servos, os profetas, madrugando e os enviando, porém vós não escutastes, nem inclinastes o vosso ouvido para ouvir.
5 ⌞saying⌟, ‘Turn back please, each one from his evil way, and from the evil of your deeds, and live on the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your ancestors from a long time back and until forever,
5 Eles disseram: Convertei-vos de seu mau caminho, e do mal de vossos feitos, e habitai na terra que o SENHOR vos deu, e a vossos pais, para sempre e sempre.
6 and you must not go after other gods to serve them, and to bow in worship to them, and you must not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands, then I will not do something bad to you.’
6 E não andeis após outros deuses para os servir, e para os adorar, e não me provoqueis à ira com as obras de vossas mãos, e eu não vos farei mal.
7 ‘Yet you have not listened to me,’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, ‘so that you have provoked me to anger with the work of your hands for your own harm.’
7 Contudo vós não me escutastes, diz o SENHOR, mas me provocastes à ira com as obras de vossas mãos, para vosso próprio mal.
8 ⌞Therefore⌟ thus says Yahweh of hosts, ‘Because you have not obeyed my words,
8 Portanto, assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Porque vós não ouvistes minhas palavras;
9 look, I am going to send and take all the clans of the north,’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations all around, and I will destroy them, and I will make them a horror, and an object of hissing, and ⌞everlasting ruins⌟.
9 eis que eu enviarei e tomarei todas as famílias do norte, diz o SENHOR, e Nabucodonosor, o rei de Babilônia, meu servo, e os trarei contra esta terra, e contra os seus habitantes, e contra todas estas nações ao redor, e as destruirei completamente, e as farei um assombro, e um assobio, e desolações perpétuas.
10 And I will exterminate from them the sound of jubilation, and the sound of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
10 Além disso, eu lhes tomarei a voz de regozijo, e a voz de júbilo, a voz do noivo, e a voz da noiva, o som das pedras de moinho, e a luz da vela.
11 And all this land will become a site of ruins, a desolation, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
11 E esta terra inteira será uma desolação, e um assombro. E estas nações servirão ao rei de Babilônia por setenta anos.
12 ⌞And then⌟ when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, ‘for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and I will make it ⌞an everlasting waste⌟.
12 E acontecerá que, quando setenta anos forem completados, que eu punirei o rei de Babilônia, e aquela nação, diz o SENHOR, pela sua iniquidade, e a terra dos caldeus, e a farei desolações perpétuas.
13 And I will bring upon that land all my words that I have spoken against it, everything that is written in this scroll which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations.
13 E eu trarei sobre aquela terra todas as minhas palavras, que eu tenho pronunciado contra ela, e tudo o que está escrito neste livro, que Jeremias profetizou contra todas as nações.
14 For many nations and great kings will let them work, even them, and I will repay them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.’ ”
14 Pois também deles se servirão muitas nações e grandes reis. E eu os recompensarei conforme seus feitos, e conforme as obras das suas próprias mãos.
15 For thus said Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me, “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and you must give it to all the nations to whom I am sending you to drink.
15 Porque assim me diz o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Pega da minha mão a taça do vinho da ira, e darás a beber a todas as nações, a quem eu te enviar.
16 And they will drink, and they will stagger, and they will act like madmen because of the ⌞presence⌟ of the sword that I am sending among them.”
16 E elas beberão, e serão abaladas, enlouquecerão por causa da espada que eu enviarei entre eles.
17 So I took the cup from the hand of Yahweh and I gave it to all the nations to whom Yahweh sent me to drink:
17 Então tomei eu a taça da mão do SENHOR, e fiz todas as nações beberem, a quem o SENHOR tinha enviado a mim;
18 Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, and its kings, and its officials, to make them a site of ruins, a horror, an object of hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
18 a saber, Jerusalém, e as cidades de Judá, e aos seus reis, e aos seus príncipes, para fazê-los uma desolação, um assombro, um assobio, e uma maldição, como é neste dia.
19 Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and his servants, and his officials, and all his people;
19 A Faraó, rei do Egito, e aos seus servos, e aos seus príncipes, e a todo o seu povo;
20 and all the other people; and all the kings of the land of Uz; and all the kings of the land of the Philistines—Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
20 e a todo o povo misto, e a todos os reis da terra de Uz, e a todos os reis da terra dos filisteus, e a Asquelom, e a Gaza, e a Ecrom, e ao remanescente de Asdode;
21 Edom, and Moab, and the ⌞Ammonites⌟;
21 Edom, a Moabe, e aos filhos de Amom,
22 and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastland that is across the sea;
22 e a todos os reis de Tiro, e a todos os reis de Sidom, e aos reis das ilhas que estão além do mar,
23 and Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all those who are trimmed to the side;
23 Dedã, e a Tema, e a Buz, e a todos que estão nos mais remotos lugares,
24 and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the other people who dwell in the desert;
24 e a todos os reis da Arábia, e a todos os reis do povo misto que habita no deserto,
25 and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of Media;
25 e a todos os reis de Zinri, e a todos os reis de Elão, e a todos os reis da Média,
26 and all the kings of the north, near and far, each one to his brother, and all the kingdoms of the world that are on the face of the earth; and the king of Sheshach, he will drink after them.
26 e a todos os reis do norte, distantes e próximos, um com o outro, e a todos os reinos do mundo, que estão sobre a face da terra, e o rei de Sesaque beberá após eles.
27 “And you shall say to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, “Drink and become drunk, and vomit, and fall, and you must not rise because of the ⌞presence⌟ of the sword that I am sending among you.” ’
27 Portanto tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Bebei, e embebedai-vos, e vomitai, e caí, e não levantai mais, por causa da espada que eu enviarei entre vós.
28 And it will happen, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “You must certainly drink!
28 E será que, se eles se recusarem a pegar a taça de tua mão para beber, então tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Vós certamente bebereis.
29 For look, on the city that is called ⌞by⌟ my name I am beginning to inflict harm, and you indeed, will you go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,” ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh of hosts.’
29 Porque eis que eu começo a trazer o mal sobre a cidade que é chamada pelo meu nome, e deveríeis estar completamente impunes? Vós não estareis impunes, pois eu irei requerer uma espada sobre todos os habitantes da terra, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
30 And you yourself shall prophesy against them all these words, and you shall say to them: ‘Yahweh will roar from on high, and from ⌞his holy dwelling place⌟ he will give his voice. He will roar mightily against his settlement, a jubilant shout like those who tread grapes, he will answer against all the inhabitants of the earth.
30 Portanto profetiza contra eles todas estas palavras, e dize-lhes: O SENHOR irá rugir desde o alto, e pronunciará a sua voz desde a sua santa habitação. Ele irá poderosamente rugir sobre a sua habitação. Ele dará um brado, como aqueles que pisam as uvas, contra todos os habitantes da terra.
31 The rage of battle will resound to the end of the earth, for there is a lawsuit of Yahweh against the nations. He is entering into judgment with all wicked flesh, he will give them to the sword,’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh.”
31 Um barulho chegará até os confins da terra, pois o SENHOR tem uma controvérsia com as nações. Ele debaterá com toda a carne. Ele dará aqueles que são perversos à espada, diz o SENHOR.
32 Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “Look, disaster is going out from nation to nation, and a great tempest is stirred up from the farthest parts of the earth.
32 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eis que o mal sairá de nação para nação, e um grande furacão será levantado desde as fronteiras da terra.
33 And the slain ones of Yahweh will be on that day from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, and they will not be mourned, and they will not be gathered, and they will not be buried. They will become like dung on the ⌞surface⌟ of the ground.
33 E serão os mortos do SENHOR, naquele dia, desde uma extremidade da terra até a outra extremidade da terra. Eles não serão lamentados, nem reunidos, nem enterrados. Eles serão esterco sobre o chão.
34 Wail, you shepherds, and cry out. And roll about in mourning in the dust, O leaders of the flock. For your days of slaughter and your dispersions have arrived, and you will fall like a vessel of desire.
34 Gemei, vós pastores, e chorai. E revolvei-vos nas cinzas, vós principais do rebanho, pois os dias de vossa matança e de vossas dispersões estão acabados, e vós caireis como um vaso precioso.
35 And flight will perish from the shepherds, and escape from the leaders of the flock.
35 E os pastores não terão caminho para fugir, nem os principais do rebanho para escapar.
36 A sound, the cry of distress of the shepherds and the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for Yahweh is despoiling their pasture.
36 Uma voz de grito dos pastores, e um gemido dos principais do rebanho, será ouvida, pois o SENHOR destruiu o pasto deles.
37 And the ⌞peaceful settlements⌟ are devastated because of ⌞the burning anger of Yahweh⌟.
37 E as pacíficas habitações estão derrubadas por causa da violenta ira do SENHOR.
38 He has left his den like a lion, for their land has become a horror, because of the anger of the oppressors, and because of ⌞his burning anger⌟.”
38 Ele abandonou o seu abrigo, como o leão, porque a sua terra está desolada por causa da ferocidade do opressor, e por causa da sua violenta ira.
