1 Let me sing for my beloved a song of my love concerning his vineyard: ⌞My beloved had a vineyard⌟ on ⌞a fertile hill⌟.
1 Agora, cantarei ao meu amado o cântico do meu amado a respeito da sua vinha. O meu amado teve uma vinha num outeiro fertilíssimo.
2 And he dug it and cleared it of stones, and he planted it with choice vines, and he built a watchtower in the middle of it, and he even hewed out a wine vat in it, and he waited for it to yield grapes— but it yielded wild grapes.
2 Sachou-a, limpou-a das pedras e a plantou de vides escolhidas; edificou no meio dela uma torre e também abriu um lagar. Ele esperava que desse uvas boas, mas deu uvas bravas.
3 And now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard.
3 Agora, pois, ó moradores de Jerusalém e homens de Judá, julgai, vos peço, entre mim e a minha vinha.
4 What more was there to do for my vineyard that I have not done in it? Why did I hope for it to yield grapes, and it yielded wild grapes?
4 Que mais se podia fazer ainda à minha vinha, que eu lhe não tenha feito? E como, esperando eu que desse uvas boas, veio a produzir uvas bravas?
5 And now let me tell you what I myself am about to do to my vineyard. I will remove its hedge, and it shall become a devastation. I will break down its wall, and it shall become a trampling.
5 Agora, pois, vos farei saber o que pretendo fazer à minha vinha: tirarei a sua sebe, para que a vinha sirva de pasto; derribarei o seu muro, para que seja pisada;
6 And I will make it a wasteland; it shall not be pruned and hoed, and it shall be overgrown with briers and thornbushes. And concerning the clouds, I will command ⌞them not to send⌟ rain down upon it.
6 torná-la-ei em deserto. Não será podada, nem sachada, mas crescerão nela espinheiros e abrolhos; às nuvens darei ordem que não derramem chuva sobre ela.
7 For the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is the plantation of his delight. And he waited for justice, but look! Bloodshed! For righteousness, but look! A cry of distress!
7 Porque a vinha do Senhor dos Exércitos é a casa de Israel, e os homens de Judá são a planta dileta do Senhor ; este desejou que exercessem juízo, e eis aí quebrantamento da lei; justiça, e eis aí clamor.
8 Ah! Those who ⌞join⌟ house with house, they join field together with field until ⌞there is no place⌟ and you are caused to dwell alone in the midst of the land.
8 Ai dos que ajuntam casa a casa, reúnem campo a campo, até que não haja mais lugar, e ficam como únicos moradores no meio da terra!
9 Yahweh of hosts said in my ears: ⌞Surely⌟ many houses shall become a desolation, large and beautiful ones without inhabitant.
9 A meus ouvidos disse o Senhor dos Exércitos: Em verdade, muitas casas ficarão desertas, até as grandes e belas, sem moradores.
10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer will yield an ephah.
10 E dez jeiras de vinha não darão mais do que um bato, e um ômer cheio de semente não dará mais do que um efa.
11 Ah! Those who rise early in the morning, they pursue strong drink. Those who linger in the evening, wine inflames them.
11 Ai dos que se levantam pela manhã e seguem a bebedice e continuam até alta noite, até que o vinho os esquenta!
12 And there will be lyre and harp, tambourine and flute, and wine at their feasts, but they do not look at the deeds of Yahweh, and they do not see the work of his hands.
12 Liras e harpas, tamboris e flautas e vinho há nos seus banquetes; porém não consideram os feitos do Senhor , nem olham para as obras das suas mãos.
13 Therefore my people will go into exile without knowledge, and their nobles will be men of hunger, and their multitude is parched with thirst.
13 Portanto, o meu povo será levado cativo, por falta de entendimento; os seus nobres terão fome, e a sua multidão se secará de sede.
14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged its throat, and it has opened wide its mouth without limit, and her nobles will go down, and her multitude, her tumult and those who revel in her.
14 Por isso, a cova aumentou o seu apetite, abriu a sua boca desmesuradamente; para lá desce a glória de Jerusalém, e o seu tumulto, e o seu ruído, e quem nesse meio folgava.
15 And humankind is bowed down, and man is brought low, and the eyes of the haughty are humiliated.
15 Então, a gente se abate, e o homem se avilta; e os olhos dos altivos são humilhados.
16 But Yahweh of hosts is exalted by justice, and the holy God shows himself holy by righteousness.
16 Mas o Senhor dos Exércitos é exaltado em juízo; e Deus, o Santo, é santificado em justiça.
17 And then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, and ⌞fatlings, kids will eat among the sites of ruins.⌟
17 Então, os cordeiros pastarão lá como se no seu pasto; e os nômades se nutrirão dos campos dos ricos lá abandonados.
18 Ah! Those who drag iniquity along with the cords of falsehood and sin as with rope of the cart,
18 Ai dos que puxam para si a iniquidade com cordas de injustiça e o pecado, como com tirantes de carro!
19 those who say, “Let him make haste; let him hurry his work so that we may see it and let it draw near and let the plan of the holy one of Israel come so that we may know it!”
19 E dizem: Apresse-se Deus, leve a cabo a sua obra, para que a vejamos; aproxime-se, manifeste-se o conselho do Santo de Israel, para que o conheçamos.
20 Ah! Those who call evil good and good evil, those who put darkness for light and light for darkness, those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
20 Ai dos que ao mal chamam bem e ao bem, mal; que fazem da escuridade luz e da luz, escuridade; põem o amargo por doce e o doce, por amargo!
21 Ah! Those who are wise in their own eyes and have understanding ⌞in their view⌟!
21 Ai dos que são sábios a seus próprios olhos e prudentes em seu próprio conceito!
22 Ah! Heroes at drinking wine, and men of capability at mixing strong drink!
22 Ai dos que são heróis para beber vinho e valentes para misturar bebida forte,
23 Those who acquit the guilty because of a bribe and remove the justice of the innocent from him.
23 os quais por suborno justificam o perverso e ao justo negam justiça!
24 Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will become like the stench, and their blossom will go up like the dust. For they have rejected the instruction of Yahweh of hosts, and they have treated the word of the holy one of Israel with contempt.
24 Pelo que, como a língua de fogo consome o restolho, e a erva seca se desfaz pela chama, assim será a sua raiz como podridão, e a sua flor se esvaecerá como pó; porquanto rejeitaram a lei do Senhor dos Exércitos e desprezaram a palavra do Santo de Israel.
25 Therefore ⌞Yahweh’s wrath was kindled⌟ against his people, and he stretched out his hand against them and struck them, and the mountains quaked, and their corpses were like refuse in the middle of the streets. In all of this his anger has not turned back, and still his hand is stretched out.
25 Por isso, se acende a ira do Senhor contra o seu povo, povo contra o qual estende a mão e o fere, de modo que tremem os montes e os seus cadáveres são como monturo no meio das ruas. Com tudo isto não se aplaca a sua ira, mas ainda está estendida a sua mão.
26 And he will raise a signal for a nation from afar, and he will whistle for it from the end of the earth. And look! It comes quickly, swiftly!
26 Ele arvorará o estandarte para as nações distantes e lhes assobiará para que venham das extremidades da terra; e vêm apressadamente.
27 None is weary, and none among him stumbles; none slumbers and none sleeps. And no loincloth on his waist is opened, and no thong of his sandals is drawn away.
27 Não há entre elas cansado, nem quem tropece; ninguém tosqueneja, nem dorme; não se lhe desata o cinto dos seus lombos, nem se lhe rompe das sandálias a correia.
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all of his bows are bent. The hoofs of his horses are reckoned like flint, and his wheels like the storm wind.
28 As suas flechas são agudas, e todos os seus arcos, retesados; as unhas dos seus cavalos dizem-se de pederneira, e as rodas dos seus carros, um redemoinho.
29 His roaring is like the lion, and he roars like young lions. And he growls and seizes his prey, and he carries it off, and not one can rescue it.
29 O seu rugido é como o do leão; rugem como filhos de leão, e, rosnando, arrebatam a presa, e a levam, e não há quem a livre.
30 And he will roar over him on that day like the roaring of the sea, and if one looks to the land, look! Darkness! Distress! And the light grows dark with its clouds.
30 Bramam contra eles naquele dia, como o bramido do mar; se alguém olhar para a terra, eis que só há trevas e angústia, e a luz se escurece em densas nuvens.
