¹ Alleluia. Praise the Lord, because the psalm is good. Delightful and beautiful praise shall be for our God.

¹ Louvai ao Senhor. Ó minha alma, louva ao Senhor.

² The Lord builds up Jerusalem. He will gather together the dispersed of Israel.

² Louvarei ao Senhor durante a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto viver.

³ He heals the contrite of heart, and he binds up their sorrows.

³ Não confieis em príncipes, nem em filho de homem, em quem não há auxílio.

⁴ He numbers the multitude of the stars, and he calls them all by their names.

⁴ Sai-lhe o espírito, e ele volta para a terra; naquele mesmo dia perecem os seus pensamentos.

⁵ Great is our Lord, and great is his virtue. And of his wisdom, there is no number.

⁵ Bem-aventurado aquele que tem o Deus de Jacó por seu auxílio, e cuja esperança está no Senhor seu Deus

⁶ The Lord lifts up the meek, but he brings down the sinner, even to the ground.

⁶ que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo quanto neles há, e que guarda a verdade para sempre;

⁷ Sing before the Lord with confession. Play psalms to our God on a stringed instrument.

⁷ que faz justiça aos oprimidos, que dá pão aos famintos. O Senhor solta os encarcerados;

⁸ He covers heaven with clouds, and he prepares rain for the earth. He produces grass on the mountains and herbs for the service of men.

⁸ o Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos; o Senhor levanta os abatidos; o Senhor ama os justos.

⁹ He gives their food to beasts of burden and to young ravens that call upon him.

⁹ O Senhor preserva os peregrinos; ampara o órfão e a viúva; mas transtorna o caminho dos ímpios.

¹⁰ He will not have good will for the strength of the horse, nor will he be well pleased with the legs of a man.

¹⁰ O Senhor reinará eternamente: o teu Deus, ó Sião, reinará por todas as gerações. Louvai ao Senhor!

¹¹ The Lord is well pleased with those who fear him and with those who hope in his mercy.
