¹ Alleluia. I will confess to you, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the just and in the congregation.

¹ Disse o Senhor ao meu senhor: Assenta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos debaixo dos teus pés.

² Great are the works of the Lord, exquisite in all his intentions.

² O Senhor enviará de Sião o cetro do seu poder, dizendo: Domina entre os teus inimigos.

³ Confession and magnificence are his work. And his justice remains from age to age.

³ Apresentar-se-á voluntariamente o teu povo, no dia do teu poder; com santos ornamentos, como o orvalho emergindo da aurora, serão os teus jovens.

⁴ He has created a memorial to his wonders; he is a merciful and compassionate Lord.

⁴ O Senhor jurou e não se arrependerá: Tu és sacerdote para sempre, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque.

⁵ He has given food to those who fear him. He will be mindful of his covenant in every age.

⁵ O Senhor, à tua direita, no dia da sua ira, esmagará os reis.

⁶ He will announce the virtue of his works to his people,

⁶ Ele julga entre as nações; enche-as de cadáveres; esmagará cabeças por toda a terra.

⁷ so that he may give them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are truth and judgment.

⁷ De caminho, bebe na torrente e passa de cabeça erguida.

⁸ All his commands are faithful: confirmed from age to age, created in truth and fairness.

⁹ He has sent redemption upon his people. He has commanded his covenant for all eternity. Holy and terrible is his name.
