1 Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
1 E o SENHOR disse a Noé: Vem tu e toda a tua casa para dentro da arca; pois a ti eu vi como justo diante de mim nesta geração.
2 You are to take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate;
2 De todo animal limpo tomarás para ti de sete em sete, o macho e sua fêmea, e dos animais que não são limpos de dois em dois, o macho e sua fêmea.
3 and seven pairs of every kind of bird of the air, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of all the earth.
3 Das aves do céu também de sete em sete, o macho e sua fêmea, para manter viva a semente sobre a face de toda a terra.
4 For seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.”
4 Pois em mais sete dias, eu farei chover sobre a terra quarenta dias e quarenta noites, e toda substância viva que eu fiz, destruirei da face da terra.
5 And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.
5 E Noé fez de acordo com tudo o que o SENHOR lhe ordenou.
6 Now Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.
6 E Noé tinha seiscentos anos de idade quando o dilúvio de águas veio sobre a terra.
7 And Noah and his wife, with his sons and their wives, entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
7 E entrou na arca Noé, e seus filhos, e sua mulher, e as mulheres de seus filhos com ele, por causa das águas do dilúvio.
8 The clean and unclean animals, the birds, and everything that crawls along the ground
8 Dos animais limpos, e dos animais que não são limpos, e das aves, e de toda coisa que rasteja sobre a terra,
9 came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
9 entraram de dois em dois até Noé na arca, o macho e a fêmea, conforme Deus ordenara a Noé.
10 And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth.
10 E aconteceu que, depois dos sete dias, as águas do dilúvio estavam sobre a terra.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
11 No ano seiscentos da vida de Noé, no segundo mês, no décimo sétimo dia do mês, no mesmo dia todas as fontes do grande abismo foram rompidas, e as janelas do céu foram abertas.
12 And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
12 E a chuva esteve sobre a terra quarenta dias e quarenta noites.
13 On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons—
13 Nesse mesmo dia entraram na arca Noé, e Sem, e Cam, e Jafé, os filhos de Noé, e a mulher de Noé, e com eles as três mulheres de seus filhos.
14 they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature.
14 Eles, e todo animal segundo a sua espécie, e todo o gado segundo a sua espécie, e toda coisa que rasteja sobre a terra segundo a sua espécie, e toda ave segundo a sua espécie, pássaro de toda espécie.
15 They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life.
15 E entraram para Noé na arca, de dois em dois de toda a carne em que há o sopro de vida.
16 And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
16 E aqueles que entraram, entraram macho e fêmea de toda a carne, conforme Deus lhe ordenara, e o SENHOR o fechou dentro.
17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.
17 E o dilúvio esteve quarenta dias sobre a terra; e as águas aumentaram, e levantaram a arca, e ela foi elevada sobre a terra.
18 So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.
18 E as águas prevaleceram, e foram aumentadas grandemente sobre a terra; e a arca andava sobre a face das águas.
19 Finally, the waters completely inundated the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.
19 E as águas prevaleceram excessivamente sobre a terra; e todos os montes altos, que estavam debaixo de todo o céu, foram cobertos.
20 The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits.
20 Quinze côvados acima as águas prevaleceram; e os montes foram cobertos.
21 And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished—birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.
21 E morreu toda a carne que se movia sobre a terra, tanto as aves, quanto o gado e os animais, e toda coisa rastejante que rasteja sobre a terra, e todo homem.
22 Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
22 Todos aqueles em cujas narinas estava o sopro de vida, e tudo que estava na terra seca morreu.
23 And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed—man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained.
23 E foi destruída toda substância viva que estava sobre a face da terra, tanto o homem, quanto o gado, e as coisas rastejantes e as aves do céu; e eles foram destruídos da terra; e somente Noé permaneceu vivo, e aqueles que estavam com ele na arca.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.
24 E as águas prevaleceram sobre a terra cento e cinquenta dias.
