8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Mamĩda Ak'õrepa parãta jɨrɨt'eraji ichideerã p'anadamerã. Ichiaba jõmaarã reypa parã awara bɨji mimia oodamerã ichi pari, p'aareerãpa Ak'õre mimia oopatak'a. Ak'õrepa k'inia bɨ parã ichi p'uuru pidaarã p'anadamerã ichik'a, k'achia wẽe. Ichideerã papiji parãpa jõmaarãmaa jaradamerã irua ooda eperãarã k'aripait'ee. 9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Naaweda parã Tachi Ak'õre p'uuru pidaarã-e paji. Mamĩda ɨ̃rá iru p'uuru pidaarã. Naaweda Tachi Ak'õrepa parã chupɨria k'awa-e paji, ijãadak'aa p'anadap'edaa perã. Mamĩda ɨ̃rá parã chupɨria k'awaa bɨ, ichideerã perã.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Mapa ɨ̃pemaarã k'iniarã, mɨa enenee nɨ̃bɨ oonaadamerã pãchi p'ek'au k'achia ooyaa bɨ k'ap'ɨapa oopi k'inia bɨk'a. Mãgɨpa chõo pɨk'apari tachi t'ãri ome. Parã k'ĩra tewaraarãk'a p'anapata ijãadak'aa beerã t'ãide. Mapa oodaik'araa bɨ ãchia oopatak'a.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ma k'ãyaara ãchi t'ãide k'ĩra jĩp'a p'anadaipia bɨ. Mãgá p'anaruta pɨrã, ãchia “k'achia beerãda” aruta pɨjida parã ãpɨte, unudait'ee parãpa ne-inaa pia oo p'anɨ mãik'aapa Tachi Ak'õre cheru ewate jaradait'ee iruata parãmaa mãga oopiji.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Na p'ek'au eujãde p'anɨ misa, óotɨ eperãarã poroorãpa jara p'anɨk'a, apidaapa Tachi Waibɨa ãpɨte k'achia pedeenaadamerã parã k'aurepa. Mãga oodaipia bɨ César ome, iru waibɨara bairã apemaarã poro waibɨarã k'ãyaara.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.

18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.

19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Jõdee mãgá ak'ɨ-e pait'ee parãpa ne-inaa k'achia oodap'eda, k'ĩrau-ee chooruta pɨrã miapidak'ãri ma k'achia oodap'edaa k'aurepa. Mamĩda parã k'ĩrau-ee chooruta pɨrã miapidak'ãri ne-inaa pia oodap'edaa perã, mãgara Tachi Ak'õrepa parã pia ak'ɨit'ee.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ma-it'ee Tachi Ak'õrepa parã jɨrɨji, Cristo jĩak'a p'anapataadamerã. Iru miaji parã k'aripait'ee. K'inia bɨ parãpa awaraarã auk'a k'aripadamerã, miaruta pɨjida mãga oo p'anɨ k'aurepa. Tachi Ak'õre pedee jaraparipa irude nãga jaraji:
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 ‘Irua p'ek'au k'achia ook'aa paji. Seewa apidaamaa jarak'aa paji.’ (Is 53.9)
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Cristomaa ik'achia jaradak'ãri, mãgá p'anauk'aa paji. Miapidak'ãri, maarepida jarak'aa paji k'achia ooit'ee iru ɨmɨateedap'edaarãmaa. Ma k'ãyaara ma nepɨra ichiak'au bɨji Tachi Ak'õrepa oomerã ichia oo k'iniata. K'awaji Tachi Ak'õrepapai ak'ɨi eperãarãpa oopata jarait'ee pia wa k'achia.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;

24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Parãpa ijãadai naaweda, p'anapachida oveja o atua bɨk'a, Tachi Ak'õre k'awada-ee p'anadap'edaa perã. Mamĩda ɨ̃rá, ma oveja ãpɨtee cheruk'a ichi ak'ɨpari waya unu atarumaa, mãga pɨk'a parã o k'achiade wãdap'edaadeepa ãpɨtee chejida unu atarutamaa pãchi ak'ɨpari, Cristo ome. Iruata parã t'ãri ak'ɨpari.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
