2 Ye know that after two days the passover takes place, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.

3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together to the palace of the high priest who was called Caiaphas,

4 and took counsel together in order that they might seize Jesus by subtlety and kill him;

5 but they said, Not in the feast, that there be not a tumult among the people.

7 a woman, having an alabaster flask of very precious ointment, came to him and poured it out upon his head as he lay at table.

8 But the disciples seeing it became indignant, saying, To what end {was} this waste?

9 for this might have been sold for much and been given to the poor.

10 But Jesus knowing {it} said to them, Why do ye trouble the woman? for she has wrought a good work toward me.

11 For ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.
12 Ʋ aa bɩsɩ tʋranɩɩ no we ŋ tɩyaŋ nyɛ daga anɩɩ ŋ teŋbii rɛ ʋ marɩ gɛɛ a pɔ kyɛɛ hʋ ba aa sɩ hogo ŋ.
12 For in pouring out this ointment on my body, she has done it for my burying.
13 Wɩtɩɩ rɛ ŋ basɩ kɩ tɩya ma, dʋnɩya logiŋ kɛ buloŋ ba aa sɩ mʋ a basɩ Wɩɩsɩ wɩweliye hʋ, ba sɩ basɩ wɩɩ no haaŋ no mɛ aa yaa a liisi ʋ wɩya.”
13 Verily I say to you, Wheresoever these glad tidings may be preached in the whole world, that also which this {woman} has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

15 “Dɩ mɩyaŋ nɛ kyɛɛ ŋmanɩɩ tɩya ma dɩ ma kaŋ Yesu, bekiŋ nɛ ma sɩ tɩya ŋ?” Ɛɛ rɛ ba dɩɩsɩ molbinʋʋ mɔlɩya abee fi a kpa tɩya ʋ.
15 and said, What are ye willing to give me, and *I* will deliver him up to you? And they appointed to him thirty pieces of silver.

16 And from that time he sought a good opportunity that he might deliver him up.
17 Dɩɩsɩ-Parɩ-banɩɩ kyɛbal hʋ tɩyaŋ ba aa kyaŋ paanʋʋ hʋ ba aa bɩ wee sɩbʋl hʋ, ʋ kyɛbuŋbuŋ kyɛɛ Yesu hatɩnna hʋ ko pɩyɛsɩ ʋ a baa, “Lee rɛ ɩ kɩ kyɛ dɩ á mʋ yaa Dɩɩsɩ-parɩ-banɩɩ Kyɛbal hʋ kɩdiiliye dɩ ɩ ko di?”

18 Ɛɛ rɛ Yesu daga ba baal kɩdɩgɩ lee tɔbal hʋ tɩyaŋ a baa, “Ma mʋ basɩ tɩya ʋ dɩ ma nɩhɩyawʋ baa dɩ ʋ saŋa pele rɛ. Ɛɛwɩya ʋ aa kyɛ dɩ ʋ bee ʋ hatɩnna hʋ ko di Dɩɩsɩ-parɩ-banɩɩ Kyɛbal hʋ kɩdiiliye rɛ ʋ dɩya tɩyaŋ.”
18 And he said, Go into the city unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near, I will keep the passover in thy house with my disciples.
19 Nyɛ rɛ Yesu hatɩnna hʋ mʋ a yaa gɛɛ Yesu aa daga ba, a marɩ Dɩɩsɩ-parɩ-banɩɩ Kyɛbal hʋ kɩdiiliye.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the passover.
20 Dɩdaana aa ko pele Yesu bee ʋ hatɩnna fi abee balɩya hʋ ko gyʋʋ hɔŋ a kɩ di kɩdiiliye hʋ.
20 And when the evening was come he lay down at table with the twelve.
21 Ba aa di kɩna hʋ tɩyaŋ nɛ Yesu basɩ tɩya ba a baa, “Wɩtɩɩ rɛ ŋ basɩ kɩ tɩya ma, ma kɩdɩgɩ rɛ sɩ kpa ŋ yallɩ.”
21 And as they were eating he said, Verily I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.
22 Ɛɛ rɛ ʋ hatɩnna hʋ tɩsɩ kyogi. Ba piili kɩ pɩyɛsɩ ʋ, kɩŋ kɩŋ. Kɩdɩgɩ aa pɩyɛsɩ, “Ŋ Tɩɩna, mɩyaŋ nɛ?
22 And being exceedingly grieved they began to say to him, each of them, Is it *I*, Lord?
23 Yesu basɩ tɩya ba a baa, ŋ bee nal hʋ aa kyala kaŋ paanʋʋ tuu yuu gbaha hʋ tɩyaŋ nɛ sɩ kpa ŋ yallɩ.
23 But he answering said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, *he* it is who shall deliver me up.
24 Mɩyaŋ Nihuwobiŋ Biye sɩ sʋba anɩɩ ba aa saba ŋ wɩya gɛɛ. Amɛ nal hʋ aa sɩ kpa mɩyaŋ Nihuwobiŋ Biye yallɩ, ʋ sɩ na tʋwara yʋga. Ba fa aa bɩ ʋ lʋla ʋ rɛ kpɩya.”
24 The Son of man goes indeed, according as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is delivered up; it were good for that man if he had not been born.
25 Doŋ nɛ Gyudasɩ minaafigi tɩɩna hʋ aa sɩ kpa Yesu yallɩ pɩyɛsɩ ʋ a baa, “Ŋ nɩhɩyawʋ, mɩyaŋ nɛ ɩ kɩ daga?” Ɛɛ rɛ Yesu basɩ tɩya ʋ a baa, “Waa, ɩ rɛ.”
25 And Judas, who delivered him up, answering said, Is it *I*, Rabbi? He says to him, *Thou* hast said.

27 And having taken {the} cup and given thanks, he gave {it} to them, saying, Drink ye all of it.

28 For this is my blood, that of the {new} covenant, that shed for many for remission of sins.
29 Ŋ basɩ kɩ tɩya ma rɛ, ŋ bɩl bɩ sɩ maakyiye nyʋwa sɩŋ no, see kyɛɛ hʋ ŋ beel-ma aa sɩ nyʋwa sɩfalɩɩ ŋ Kuwo koro hʋ tɩyaŋ.”
29 But I say to you, that I will not at all drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.

34 Disse-lhe Jesus: Em verdade te digo: nesta noite mesma, antes que o galo cante, três vezes me negarás.

35 Respondeu-lhe Pedro: Mesmo que seja necessário morrer contigo, jamais te negarei! E todos os outros discípulos diziam-lhe o mesmo.

54 Mas como se cumpririam então as Escrituras, segundo as quais é preciso que seja assim?
55 Ɛɛ rɛ Yesu pɩyɛsɩ nɩgyamaa hʋ a baa, “Ŋ yaa biibɔŋ nɛ, ma paa takoobiye abee daŋgulo a kɩ ko dɩ ma kana ŋ? Ka kyɛɛ buloŋ nɛ ŋ beel-ma aa hɔŋ Wɩɩkyʋwaldɩɩbal hʋ tɩyaŋ ŋ kɩ daga ma wɩya, aŋka ma bɩ lʋga dɩ ma kana ŋ doŋ.
55 Depois, voltando-se para a turba, falou: Saístes armados de espadas e porretes para prender-me, como se eu fosse um malfeitor. Entretanto, todos os dias estava eu sentado entre vós ensinando no templo e não me prendestes.

56 Mas tudo isto aconteceu porque era necessário que se cumprissem os oráculos dos profetas. Então os discípulos o abandonaram e fugiram.

57 Os que haviam prendido Jesus levaram-no à casa do sumo sacerdote Caifás, onde estavam reunidos os escribas e os anciãos do povo.

58 Pedro seguia-o de longe, até o pátio do sumo sacerdote. Entrou e sentou-se junto aos criados para ver como terminaria aquilo.

59 Enquanto isso, os príncipes dos sacerdotes e todo o conselho procuravam um falso testemunho contra Jesus, a fim de o levarem à morte.

61 Por fim, apresentaram-se duas testemunhas, que disseram: Este homem disse: Posso destruir o templo de Deus e reedificá-lo em três dias.

62 Levantou-se o sumo sacerdote e lhe perguntou: Nada tens a responder ao que essa gente depõe contra ti?
63 Ka Yesu tallɩ ʋ nyʋwa. Ɛɛ rɛ Gyuuma wɩɩkyʋwal sɩlaala nɩhɩyawʋ hʋ basɩ tɩya ʋ a baa, “Ŋmɩyɛsɩ Wɩɩsɩ hʋ aa weye feŋ tɩyaŋ, a basɩ tɩya ma, ɩ rɛ yaa Krisita hʋ, laataal hʋ Wɩɩsɩ aa lɩya? Ɩ rɛ yaa Wɩɩsɩ Biye hʋ?”
63 Jesus, no entanto, permanecia calado. Disse-lhe o sumo sacerdote: Por Deus vivo, conjuro-te que nos digas se és o Cristo, o Filho de Deus?

65 A estas palavras, o sumo sacerdote rasgou suas vestes, exclamando: Que necessidade temos ainda de testemunhas? Acabastes de ouvir a blasfêmia!

66 Qual o vosso parecer? Eles responderam: Merece a morte!

74 Pedro então começou a fazer imprecações, jurando que nem sequer conhecia tal homem. E, neste momento, cantou o galo.

75 Pedro recordou-se do que Jesus lhe dissera: Antes que o galo cante, negar-me-ás três vezes. E saindo, chorou amargamente.
