1 Ɛɛwɩya, á aa yaa nɩfalɩya wɩya, ma lɩɩ ma tɩɩ wɩbɔŋ buloŋ tɩyaŋ, a ta kɩ mʋrɩ nala, a ta kaŋ minaafigi mɛ. Ma ta leŋ ma tɩsɩ kɩ hɔllɩ nala a ta kɩ gaa nala hala mɛ.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Amɛ ʋ maga dɩ ma leŋ dɩ Wɩɩsɩ wɩbii hʋ wɩya kyɩl ma rɛ anɩɩ ɩl wɩya aa kyɩl biifɩla gɛɛ. Dɩ gɛɛ leŋ dɩ ma waa weliŋ ma Wɩɩsɩ laadii tɩyaŋ dɩ Wɩɩsɩ laa ma ta.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Beewɩya ma tɩɩ gyɩŋ á Tɩɩna Wɩɩsɩ bɔnyɛ hʋ ʋ aa kpa daga ma rɛ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Ma ko á Tɩɩna Yesu Krisita lee. Ʋ rɛ yaa mɩɩbol buloŋ tɩɩna. Ʋ kɩɩ gɛɛ rɛ anɩɩ bʋyɩ dɩɩsaala aa vɩya ta. Nala vɩya ʋ rɛ, amɛ Wɩɩsɩ kɛ lɩɩ ʋ rɛ ʋ yaa sɩfɩyaŋ nal ʋ lee.

5 Ma mɛ kaŋ mɩɩbol hʋ ʋ aa kana rɛ, ɛɛwɩya ma mɛ kɩɩ gɛɛ rɛ anɩɩ bʋwa Wɩɩsɩ aa kpa kɩ saa ʋ dɩya, a leŋ ma yaa ʋ wɩɩkyʋwal sɩlaala aa bɩ kaŋ bisiŋ dɩ ma tɩŋ Yesu Krisita tɩyaŋ a kpa wɩɩsʋllɩ-kɩna hʋ aa fɩyɛlɩ Wɩɩsɩ teŋ a sʋla Wɩɩsɩ.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Beewɩya ba sabɩ Wɩɩsɩ teŋ tɩyaŋ nɛ anɩɩ Wɩɩsɩ baa, ma na,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ma nala hʋ aa laa ʋ wɩya di kɛ lee, bʋyɩ no kaŋ tɔnɔ rɛ a tɩya ma. Amɛ nala hʋ aa vɩya ʋ kɛ lee, ba leŋ wɩya hʋ ba aa saba Wɩɩsɩ teŋ tɩyaŋ ko yaa wɩtɩɩ rɛ. Ba saba rɛ abaa,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ba bɩl saba Wɩɩsɩ teŋ tɩyaŋ nɛ a baa,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Amɛ ma kɛ, Wɩɩsɩ tɩɩ rɛ lɩɩ ma dɩ ma yaa wɩɩkyʋwal sɩlaala a tʋma kɩ tɩya Wɩɩsɩ ma kuwori. Ma yaa tɩpʋlʋŋ tɩmma rɛ a bɩ kaŋ bisiŋ buloŋ ʋ sɩya tɩyaŋ. Ʋ tɩɩ rɛ tɩŋ ma. Ʋ lɩɩ ma rɛ dɩ ma basɩ wɩkperiye hʋ buloŋ ʋ aa yaa. Ʋ rɛ yɩrɩ ma lɩɩ bilhuu tɩyaŋ a kaŋ ma ko gyʋʋ ʋ pʋlʋŋbal hʋ tɩyaŋ.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Buŋbuŋ hʋ tɩyaŋ, ma fa bɩ yaa Wɩɩsɩ nala, amɛ nyɛ kɛ ma yaa Wɩɩsɩ nala rɛ. Ma fa bɩ gyɩŋ Wɩɩsɩ sikii-fá, amɛ nyɛ kɛ ʋ fáá ma sikii rɛ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ŋ kyaŋweliye, ma gyɩma anɩɩ á yaa nɩhʋwala rɛ dʋnɩya no tɩyaŋ, á bee tɩɩ daa yaa daha. Ɛɛwɩya, ŋ aa sʋl ma, ma lɩɩ ma tɩɩ ma teŋbii wɩkyɛɛlɩya tɩyaŋ, beewɩya ma teŋbii wɩkyɛɛlɩya bɩ sɩ leŋ dɩ ma yaa wɩya hʋ ma aa kyɛ ma tɩsɩ tɩyaŋ dɩ ma yaa a fɩyɛlɩ Wɩɩsɩ teŋ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ma guwosi nala hʋ aa bɩ laa Wɩɩsɩ wɩya di tɩyaŋ nɛ, ɛɛ wɩya ma kaŋ ma tɩɩ weliŋ. Dɩ ba aa rɛ basɩ baa ma yaa wɩbɔmɔ mɛ, ma leŋ dɩ ba na ma wɩyaaweliye aŋ dannɩ Wɩɩsɩ dɩ ʋ feŋ yɩrɩ kyɛɛ hʋ ʋ aa sɩ di nala sarɩya.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Á Tɩɩna Yesu Krisita nyubaanɩŋ, ma kpa ma tɩɩ tɩya nala hʋ buloŋ aa deŋ ma nyuu dʋnɩya no tɩyaŋ a kɩ tɩŋ ba nyʋwa. Ma kɩ tɩya taŋha buloŋ kuworibal gyɩrɩma, beewɩya ʋ rɛ aa deŋ taŋha hʋ buloŋ.

14 Nala hʋ mɛ buloŋ kuworibal hʋ aa lɩya dɩ ba laa ʋ naasɩ sɩŋ leye tɩyaŋ, ma kpa ma tɩɩ tɩya ba mɛ a kɩ tɩŋ ba nyʋwa. Beewɩya ba aa rɛ ʋ lɩɩ dɩ ba kɩ dɔgɩsɩ nala hʋ aa yaa wɩbɔmɔ aŋ kɩ bigisi nala hʋ aa yaa wɩweliye mɛ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Wɩɩsɩ kyɛrɩ rɛ yaa dɩ ma wɩyaaweliye wuwo leŋ dɩ bambugo hʋ aa gɔllɩ kɩ basɩ wɩtɔɔnɩ hʋ ta wuwo na wɩbɔŋ buloŋ basɩ ma lugo tɩyaŋ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ma yaa nala aa tɩŋ ma tɩɩ rɛ. Amɛ ma ta kpa gɛɛ bɩrɩmɩ gyo-gye wɩɩ a gɔllɩ kɩ yaa wɩbɔmɔ. Amɛ ma kɩ yaa wɩya hʋ aa daga anɩɩ ma kɔnɩ yaa Wɩɩsɩ yosi rɛ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Ma kɩ tɩya nal buloŋ gyɩrɩma. Ma kyo nala hʋ mɛ buloŋ aa laa Yesu wɩya a leŋ dɩ ba yaa ma nɩmmabalɩya. Ma kɩ fá Wɩɩsɩ aŋ kɩ tɩya ma taŋha kuworibal gyɩrɩma.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ma nala hʋ aa tʋŋ kɩ tɩya nala, ma kɩ tɩŋ ba nyʋwa a kɩ tɩya ba gyɩrɩma weliŋ, dɩ ba yaa nala aa kaŋ bɔnyɛ ka ba wɩya weliye koo dɩ ba yaa nala wɩya aa hayɛ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Beewɩya Wɩɩsɩ sɩ kyiyeli nal hʋ buloŋ aa bɩ yaa wɩɩ buloŋ kyogi ka ba kɩ dɔgɩsɩ ʋ, ka ʋ wuwo kaŋ mala akuu ʋ aa laa Wɩɩsɩ di wɩya.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Dɩ ɩ rɛ yaa wɩbɔŋ dɩ ba ŋmaa ɩ, ka ɩ di kenyiri gɛɛ tɩyaŋ, ʋ bɩ maga dɩ ba tɩya ɩ gyaaŋbiye. Amɛ dɩ ɩ rɛ yaa wɩwelii, ka dɩ ba kɩ dɔgɩsɩ ɩ gɛɛ wɩya, dɩ ɩ wuwo kaŋ mala gɛɛ tɩyaŋ Wɩɩsɩ sɩ kyiyeli ɩ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ɛɛwɩya rɛ Wɩɩsɩ paalɩ yɩrɩ ma dɩ ma na tʋwara beewɩya Yesu Krisita tɩɩ mɛ paalɩ na tʋwara rɛ ma wɩya a daga ma gɛɛ hʋ ma aa sɩ tɩŋa ʋ naabʋʋsɩ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ʋ gyɩ bɩ yaa wɩbɔŋ buloŋ, ʋ gyɩ bɩ maakyiye nyɩya wɩya mɛ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Abee nala gyɩ aa tʋʋsɩ ʋ buloŋ, ʋ gyɩ bɩ laa tʋʋsɩ. Ba gyɩ bɩl aa dɔgɩsɩ ʋ mɛ, ʋ gyɩ bɩ basɩ baa ʋ sɩ tuŋ kyɩŋ ba nyuu tɩyaŋ. Amɛ ʋ kɛ gyɩ kpaa wɩɩ buloŋ we Wɩɩsɩ nosi tɩyaŋ nɛ beewɩya ʋ rɛ sɩ di nal buloŋ sarɩya abee wɩtɩɩ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Yesu Krisita tɩɩ rɛ laa á wɩbɔmɔ kyʋŋ, saŋa hʋ ba kpaasɩ ʋ mal daagarɩɩ tɩyaŋ dɩ gɛɛ wuwo leŋ á kpʋ wɩbɔmɔ yayɩ ta á tɩsɩ tɩyaŋ aŋ kɩ yaa tɩpʋlʋŋ wɩya. Ba aa vɩɩrɩ ʋ, ʋ teŋ yaa dʋgʋlɩya hʋ, gɛɛ rɛ leŋ á wɩɩla buloŋ teŋ á tenni tɩyaŋ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ma fa kɩɩ gɛɛ rɛ anɩɩ piyese aa nyʋgɩsa, amɛ nyɛ kɛ ma mɩɩgɩ ko Pedaal hʋ lee rɛ, nal hʋ aa deŋ ma mɩɩbol nyuu tɩyaŋ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
