1 Hanchu, nangni nanâkin asaloi murdi ngei renga inkêm ungla; milak aninônchu asarothol aninônchu narsana aninônchu inêrona chongngei om khâi no nih.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Nâite asuok thar ngei angin ratha tienga nenetui ânthieng liei hah inrâl tit ungla, ha nenetui hah nin nêka anin chu insôn nin ta, sanminjôkin om nin tih.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Pathien lekhabu'n, “Pumapa satie hah ninthenin nin riet zoi” a ti anghan.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Pumapa kôm hong roi, lung aring mingeiin mangmunboia an heng, nikhomrese, Pathien'n manlutak angin a ithang ngei.
4 — ausente —
5 Lung aring anghan hong ungla, rathatienga Pathien in sinna mangin om ungla, Jisua Khrista jâra Pathien pom theiruo ratha tienga inbôlna ipêk ranga ochai inthieng nin ni theina rangin.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Asikchu, Pathien lekhabu'n,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Nangni a iem ngei rangin chu manlut tak ani; nikhomrese, a iemloi ngei rangin chu:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Male Pathien lekhabu danga, ati:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ania nangni chu Pathien nam ithang, Rêng ochaingei, nam inthieng, Pathien a mingei, ajîngna renga avâr roiinpuitaka nangni koisuokpu Pathien sintho kamâmruoingei phuong ranga nangni thangsuok ani.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Zora voikhat chu Pathien mingei nimak cheia, aniatachu atûn chu ama mingei nin ni zoi; Motona han chu Pathien moroina lei riet mak cheia, ania atûn chu a moroina nin chang zoi.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ka malngei, hi rammuola hin khuolmi le mi invâingei angin nangni ki ngên ani! Ratha leh râl indoi tit ngâi, taksa ôina ngei mâk rangin.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Sonongngei lâia nin nunchan sa ok rese; hanchu saloi tho ngei tiin nangni an nôn khomin nin sin asa an riet sika han ama juong Nikhuo han Pathien minpâk thei an tih.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Pumapa jâra han miriem rachamneipungei murdi kôma inpêklût roi, rachamneina insângtak dônpu Rêng le,
13 — ausente —
14 râiôtngei, asaloi sin ngei dûk min tuong rang le asa sin ngei minpâk ranga ai phun ngei kôma khom.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Nin neinun sa tho ngei sika han amo ngei chong inmôl min dâirek rang hi Pathien nangni a nuomna ani sikin.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Zalên mi anghan lêng ungla; nikhomrese nin zalêna hah saloi mukhunân mang loiin, Pathien suokngei anghan om roi.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mitin mirit ungla, nin iempu champuingei lungkham ungla, Pathien jâ ungla, Rêng mirit pêk roi.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Nangni suokngei, nin pungei kôma inpêklût ungla akippharin jâna pêk roi, mi asingngei le nunhoi ngei kôma vai ni loiin mi nunminsie ngei kôm khom.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 A lungdo ani iti rietin ana tuongloiruo nin tuongin chu Pathien'n sat nangni vur a tih.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Nin tho minchâi sika jêmna nin tuongin, imo nin man ranga? Aniatachu, adik nin tho sika nin tuong chu, Pathien'n sat nangni vur a tih.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ha anga ranga Pathien'n nangni ai koi kêng; Khrista khom han nin ta rangin a lei tuonga, a kenûk nin jûi theina ranga minenna rang nangni a mâk pe ani.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ama hah nunsie reng sin ngâi maka, a bâi renga milak chong asuok reng tutên riet ngâi mak ngei.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 An êro lâiin ama'n chu thuon maka, dûk a tuong lâiin ama'n chu min tuongna rangin misina chong ti ngâi mak, aniatachu roijêkpu diktak Pathien kôm a sabeina ngei a dar ani.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Nunsiena tieng ei thia dikna tieng ei ring theina rangin Khrista lelên a taksân khrosa ei sietnangei ai pêl ani. Ama sabê ngei sikin mindam nin ni zoi.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Nangni hih belri lam ânvâi angin nin lei ni, aniatachu atûn chu nin ratha ngei Hôlpu le Enkolpu jûi ranga hong tuong nôk nin ni zoi.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
