1 ہے یوشِتَح، یُویَمَپِ نِجَسْوامِناں وَشْیا بھَوَتَ تَتھا سَتِ یَدِ کیچِدْ واکْیے وِشْواسِنو نَ سَنْتِ تَرْہِ

2 تے وِناواکْیَں یوشِتامْ آچارینارْتھَتَسْتیشاں پْرَتْیَکْشینَ یُشْماکَں سَبھَیَسَتِیتْواچاریناکْرَشْٹُں شَکْشْیَنْتے۔
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 اَپَرَں کیشَرَچَنَیا سْوَرْنالَنْکارَدھارَنونَ پَرِچّھَدَپَرِدھانینَ وا یُشْماکَں واہْیَبھُوشا نَ بھَوَتُ،
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 کِنْتْوِیشْوَرَسْیَ ساکْشادْ بَہُمُولْیَکْشَماشانْتِبھاواکْشَیَرَتْنینَ یُکْتو گُپْتَ آنْتَرِکَمانَوَ ایوَ۔
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 یَتَح پُورْوَّکالے یاح پَوِتْرَسْتْرِیَ اِیشْوَرے پْرَتْیاشامَکُرْوَّنْ تا اَپِ تادرِشِیمیوَ بھُوشاں دھارَیَنْتْیو نِجَسْوامِناں وَشْیا اَبھَوَنْ۔
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 تَتھَیوَ سارا اِبْراہِیمو وَشْیا سَتِی تَں پَتِماکھْیاتَوَتِی یُویَنْچَ یَدِ سَداچارِنْیو بھَوَتھَ وْیاکُلَتَیا چَ بھِیتا نَ بھَوَتھَ تَرْہِ تَسْیاح کَنْیا آدھْوے۔
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 ہے پُرُشاح، یُویَں جْنانَتو دُرْبَّلَتَرَبھاجَنَیرِوَ یوشِدْبھِح سَہَواسَں کُرُتَ، ایکَسْیَ جِیوَنَوَرَسْیَ سَہَبھاگِنِیبھْیَتابھْیَح سَمادَرَں وِتَرَتَ چَ نَ چیدْ یُشْماکَں پْرارْتھَناناں بادھا جَنِشْیَتے۔
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 وِشیشَتو یُویَں سَرْوَّ ایکَمَنَسَح پَرَدُحکھَے رْدُحکھِتا بھْراترِپْرَمِنَح کرِپاوَنْتَح پْرِیتِبھاواشْچَ بھَوَتَ۔

9 اَنِشْٹَسْیَ پَرِشودھینانِشْٹَں نِنْدایا وا پَرِشودھینَ نِنْداں نَ کُرْوَّنْتَ آشِشَں دَتَّ یَتو یُویَمْ آشِرَدھِکارِنو بھَوِتُماہُوتا اِتِ جانِیتھَ۔
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 اَپَرَنْچَ، جِیوَنے پْرِییَمانو یَح سُدِنانِ دِدرِکْشَتے۔ پاپاتْ جِہْواں مرِشاواکْیاتْ سْوادھَرَو سَ نِوَرْتَّییتْ۔
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 سَ تْیَجیدْ دُشْٹَتامارْگَں سَتْکْرِیانْچَ سَماچَریتْ۔ مرِگَیانَشْچَ شانْتِں سَ نِتْیَمیوانُدھاوَتُ۔
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 لوچَنے پَرَمیشَسْیونْمِیلِتے دھارْمِّکانْ پْرَتِ۔ پْرارْتھَنایاح کرِتے تیشاح تَچّھروتْرے سُگَمے سَدا۔ کْرودھاسْیَنْچَ پَریشَسْیَ کَداچارِشُ وَرْتَّتے۔
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 اَپَرَں یَدِ یُویَمْ اُتَّمَسْیانُگامِنو بھَوَتھَ تَرْہِ کو یُشْمانْ ہِںسِشْیَتے؟
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 یَدِ چَ دھَرْمّارْتھَں کْلِشْیَدھْوَں تَرْہِ دھَنْیا بھَوِشْیَتھَ۔ تیشامْ آشَنْکَیا یُویَں نَ بِبھِیتَ نَ وِنْکْتَ وا۔
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 مَنوبھِح کِنْتُ مَنْیَدھْوَں پَوِتْرَں پْرَبھُمِیشْوَرَں۔ اَپَرَنْچَ یُشْماکَمْ آنْتَرِکَپْرَتْیاشایاسْتَتّوَں یَح کَشْچِتْ پرِچّھَتِ تَسْمَے شانْتِبھِیتِبھْیامْ اُتَّرَں داتُں سَدا سُسَجّا بھَوَتَ۔
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 یے چَ کھْرِیشْٹَدھَرْمّے یُشْماکَں سَداچارَں دُوشَیَنْتِ تے دُشْکَرْمَّکارِنامِوَ یُشْماکَمْ اَپَوادینَ یَتْ لَجِّتا بھَوییُسْتَدَرْتھَں یُشْماکَمْ اُتَّمَح سَںویدو بھَوَتُ۔
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 اِیشْوَرَسْیابھِمَتادْ یَدِ یُشْمابھِح کْلیشَح سوڈھَوْیَسْتَرْہِ سَداچارِبھِح کْلیشَسَہَنَں وَرَں نَ چَ کَداچارِبھِح۔
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 یَسْمادْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ سَنِّدھِمْ اَسْمانْ آنیتُمْ اَدھارْمِّکاناں وِنِمَیینَ دھارْمِّکَح کھْرِیشْٹو پْییکَکرِتْوَح پاپاناں دَنْڈَں بھُکْتَوانْ، سَ چَ شَرِیرَسَمْبَنْدھے مارِتَح کِنْتْواتْمَنَح سَمْبَنْدھے پُنَ رْجِیوِتو بھَوَتْ۔
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 تَتْسَمْبَنْدھے چَ سَ یاتْراں وِدھایَ کارابَدّھانامْ آتْمَناں سَمِیپے واکْیَں گھوشِتَوانْ۔
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 پُرا نوہَسْیَ سَمَیے یاوَتْ پوتو نِرَمِییَتَ تاوَدْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ دِیرْگھَسَہِشْنُتا یَدا وْیَلَمْبَتَ تَدا تےناجْناگْراہِنوبھَوَنْ۔ تینَ پوتونالْپےرْتھادْ اَشْٹاویوَ پْرانِنَسْتویَمْ اُتِّیرْناح۔
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 تَنِّدَرْشَنَنْچاوَگاہَنَں (اَرْتھَتَح شارِیرِکَمَلِنَتایا یَسْتْیاگَح سَ نَہِ کِنْتْوِیشْوَرایوتَّمَسَںویدَسْیَ یا پْرَتَجْنا سَیوَ) یِیشُکھْرِیشْٹَسْیَ پُنَرُتّھانینیدانِیمْ اَسْمانْ اُتّارَیَتِ،
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 یَتَح سَ سْوَرْگَں گَتْویشْوَرَسْیَ دَکْشِنے وِدْیَتے سْوَرْگِییَدُوتاح شاسَکا بَلانِ چَ تَسْیَ وَشِیبھُوتا اَبھَوَنْ۔
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
