1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments; according to The Sheminith. A Psalm of David.
1 Ó Senhor Deus, não me repreendas quando estiveres Não me castigues no teu furor.
2 O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, nor chasten me in thy wrath.
2 Tem compaixão de mim, pois me sinto fraco. Dá-me saúde, pois o meu corpo está abatido,
3 Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
3 e a minha alma está muito aflita. Ó Deus, quando virás me curar?
4 My soul also is sorely troubled. But thou, O LORD--how long?
4 Vem salvar a minha vida, ó Por causa do teu amor, livra-me da morte.
5 Turn, O LORD, save my life; deliver me for the sake of thy steadfast love.
5 Pois no mundo dos mortos não és lembrado, e lá ninguém pode te louvar.
6 For in death there is no remembrance of thee; in Sheol who can give thee praise?
6 Estou cansado de chorar. Todas as noites a minha cama se molha de lágrimas, e o meu choro encharca o travesseiro.
7 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.
7 Por causa dos meus inimigos, os meus olhos estão inchados de tanto chorar, e quase não posso enxergar.
8 My eye wastes away because of grief, it grows weak because of all my foes.
8 Afastem-se de mim, vocês que fazem o mal! O
9 Depart from me, all you workers of evil; for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
9 ele me escuta quando peço ajuda e atende as minhas orações.
10 The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD accepts my prayer. [ (Psalms 6:11) All my enemies shall be ashamed and sorely troubled; they shall turn back, and be put to shame in a moment. ]
10 Os meus inimigos ficarão envergonhados e apavorados; eles fugirão de repente, em completa confusão.
