1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Mori'ah, where the LORD had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jeb'usite.
1 Então Salomão começou a edificar a casa do SENHOR em Jerusalém, no monte Moriá, onde o SENHOR aparecera a Davi, o seu pai, no lugar que Davi havia preparado na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu.
2 He began to build in the second month of the fourth year of his reign.
2 E ele começou a edificar no segundo dia do segundo mês, no quarto ano do seu reinado.
3 These are Solomon's measurements for building the house of God: the length, in cubits of the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
3 Ora, estas são as coisas nas quais Salomão foi instruído para a edificação da casa de Deus. O comprimento, em côvados, depois da primeira medição era de sessenta côvados, e a largura de vinte côvados.
4 The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits long, equal to the width of the house; and its height was a hundred and twenty cubits. He overlaid it on the inside with pure gold.
4 E o pórtico que estava na frente da casa, o seu comprimento era de acordo com a largura da casa, vinte côvados, e a altura era de cento e vinte; e ele o revestiu por dentro com ouro puro.
5 The nave he lined with cypress, and covered it with fine gold, and made palms and chains on it.
5 E a casa maior ele forrou com cipreste, os quais revestiu com ouro fino, e sobre este colocou palmeiras e correntes.
6 He adorned the house with settings of precious stones. The gold was gold of Parva'im.
6 E para adorná-la, revestiu a casa de lindas pedras preciosas, e o ouro era ouro de Parvaim.
7 So he lined the house with gold--its beams, its thresholds, its walls, and its doors; and he carved cherubim on the walls.
7 Ele revestiu também a casa, as vigas, os umbrais, e as suas paredes, e as suas portas, com ouro; e gravou querubins nas paredes.
8 And he made the most holy place; its length, corresponding to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth was twenty cubits; he overlaid it with six hundred talents of fine gold.
8 E ele fez a casa santíssima, cujo comprimento era de acordo com a largura da casa, vinte côvados, e a sua largura de vinte côvados; e ele a revestiu com ouro fino, totalizando seiscentos talentos.
9 The weight of the nails was one shekel to fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.
9 E o peso dos cravos era de cinquenta shekels de ouro. E ele revestiu as câmaras altas com ouro.
10 In the most holy place he made two cherubim of wood and overlaid them with gold.
10 E na casa santíssima ele fez dois querubins como obra esculpida, e os revestiu com ouro.
11 The wings of the cherubim together extended twenty cubits: one wing of the one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub;
11 E as asas dos querubins eram de vinte côvados de comprimento; uma asa de um dos querubins era de cinco côvados, alcançando a parede da casa; e a outra asa era semelhante cinco côvados, alcançando a asa do outro querubim.
12 and of this cherub, one wing, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also of five cubits, was joined to the wing of the first cherub.
12 E a asa do outro querubim era de cinco côvados, alcançando a parede da casa; e a outra asa também era de cinco côvados, unindo-se à outra asa do querubim.
13 The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits; the cherubim stood on their feet, facing the nave.
13 As asas destes querubins se estendiam a vinte côvados; e eles estavam de pé, e as suas faces estavam voltados para dentro.
14 And he made the veil of blue and purple and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and worked cherubim on it.
14 E ele fez o véu de azul, e púrpura, e escarlate, e linho fino e sobre eles confeccionou querubins.
15 In front of the house he made two pillars thirty-five cubits high, with a capital of five cubits on the top of each.
15 Além disso, ele fez diante da casa dois pilares de trinta e cinco côvados de altura, e o capitel que estava no topo de cada uma delas era de cinco côvados.
16 He made chains like a necklace and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
16 E ele fez correntes, como no oráculo, e as pôs no alto dos pilares; e esculpiu cem de romãs, e as pôs sobre as correntes.
17 He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the south, the other on the north; that on the south he called Jachin, and that on the north Bo'az.
17 E ele ergueu os pilares diante do templo, um à direita e outro à esquerda; e chamou o nome daquele à direita de Jaquim, e o nome daquele à esquerda de Boaz.
