1 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came, saying:
1 Novamente a palavra do SENHOR dos Exércitos veio a mim, dizendo:
2 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I am jealous for Zion with a great jealousy,Yea, with great wrath, am I jealous for her.
2 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eu zelei por Sião com grande zelo, e tive ciúmes dela com grande fúria.
3 Thus, saith Yahweh, I have returned unto Zion, and will make my habitation in the midst of Jerusalem,and Jerusalem, shall be called, The city of fidelity, and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts, The mountain of holiness.
3 Assim diz o SENHOR: Retornarei para Sião, e habitarei no meio de Jerusalém; e Jerusalém será chamada a cidade da verdade, e o monte do SENHOR dos Exércitos, o monte santo.
4 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet shall old men and old women sit in the broadways of Jerusalem,Yea, each one with his staff in his hand for multitude of days:
4 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Velhos e velhas ainda habitarão nas ruas de Jerusalém, e cada homem com seu cajado na sua mão, por causa da sua muita idade.
5 And, the broadways of the city, shall be full of boys and girls,playing in the broadways thereof.
5 E as ruas da cidade estarão cheias de meninos e meninas, que brincarão nas suas ruas.
6 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Because it will be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people, in those days, In mine own eyes also, shall it be marvellous? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts.
6 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Se isto for maravilhoso aos olhos do remanescente deste povo nesses dias, deveria também ser maravilhoso aos meus olhos? Diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! saving my people out of the land of the dawn,and out of the land of the going in of the sun;
7 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eis que salvarei o meu povo da terra do leste e da terra do oeste;
8 And I will bring them in, and they shall have their habitation in the midst of Jerusalem,and shall become my people, and, I, will become their God, In faithfulness and in righteousness.
8 e eu os trarei, e habitarão no meio de Jerusalém; e eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus, em verdade e em justiça.
9 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye who are hearing, in these days, these words,from the mouth of the prophets who, on the day the house of Yahweh of hosts, was founded, that, the temple, should be built:
9 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Fortalecei as vossas mãos, vós que ouvistes nestes dias estas palavras da boca dos profetas, que estivestes no dia em que o fundamento da casa do SENHOR dos Exércitos foi estabelecido, para que o templo fosse edificado.
10 That, before those days, hire for man, could not be obtained, and, hire for beast, was there none,and, neither to him who went out nor to him who came in, was there success by reason of the danger, Yea I let all men loose, each one against his neighbour.
10 Porque antes destes dias não havia salário para o homem, nem salário para os animais; nem havia paz para aquele que saía ou entrava por causa da aflição, porque eu incitei todos os homens, cada qual contra o seu próximo.
11 But, now, not as in the former days, am I to this remnant of the people,Declareth Yahweh of hosts;
11 Mas agora não serei para com o resíduo deste povo como nos primeiros dias, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
12 For, the seed, shall be securethe vine, shall yield her fruit, and the land, yield her increase, and the heavens, yield their dew,and I will cause this remnant of the people to inherit all these things.
12 Pois a semente será próspera; a videira dará o seu fruto, e o solo dará o seu acréscimo, e os céus darão o seu orvalho; e farei o remanescente deste povo possuir todas estas coisas.
13 And it shall come to pass thatJust as ye had become a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So, will I save you, and ye shall become a blessing,Do not fear, let your hands, be strong.
13 E acontecerá que, assim como fostes uma maldição entre os pagãos, ó casa de Judá, e casa de Israel; então eu vos salvarei, e sereis uma bênção; não temais, mas fortalecei as vossas mãos.
14 For, thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Just as I planned to bring calamity upon you, when your fathers provoked me, saith Yahweh of hosts,and I relented not,
14 Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Como pensei em castigar-vos, quando vossos pais me provocaram à ira, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, e não me arrependi;
15 So, have I again planned, in these days, to do good unto Jerusalem, and unto the house of Judah,Do not fear!
15 então voltei a pensar nestes dias em fazer o bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá; não temais.
16 These, are the things which ye shall do: Speak ye the truth, every man with his neighbour, truth and the sentence of peace, pronounce ye in your gates;
16 Estas são as coisas que deveis fazer: Falai a verdade cada homem com o seu próximo; executai juízo de verdade e de paz nas vossas portas;
17 And let, no man, devise, the injury of his neighbour, in your heart, and the oath of falsehood, do not love,for, all these, are things which I hate, declareth Yahweh.
17 e nenhum de vós pense mal no seu coração contra o seu vizinho, nem ameis o juramento falso; pois todas estas coisas eu odeio, diz o SENHOR.
18 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came unto me, saying:
18 E a palavra do SENHOR dos Exércitos veio a mim, dizendo:
19 Thus, saith Yahweh of hostsThe fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the eleventh, shall become to the house of Judah a gladness and a rejoicing, and pleasant appointed meetings,But, truth and peace, see that ye love.
19 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: O jejum do quarto mês, e o jejum do quinto, e o jejum do sétimo, e o jejum do décimo, serão para a casa de Judá regozijo, alegria, e festividades alegres; amai, portanto, a verdade e a paz.
20 Thus, saith Yahweh of hoses,It shall yet be that there shall come in peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;
20 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Ainda sucederá que virão povos e os habitantes de muitas cidades;
21 And the inhabitants of one city, shall go, unto them of another, saying, Let us be going on to pacify the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts,I also, will go!
21 e os habitantes de uma cidade irão à outra, dizendo: Vamos depressa orar diante do SENHOR, e buscar o SENHOR dos Exércitos; eu também irei.
22 So shall enter many peoples, and strong nations, to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem,and to pacify the face of Yahweh.
22 Sim, muitos povos e nações poderosas virão para buscar o SENHOR dos Exércitos em Jerusalém, e para orar diante do SENHOR.
23 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, In those days,
23 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Naqueles dias sucederá que dez homens de todas as línguas das nações pegarão na orla das vestes daquele que é um judeu, dizendo: Nós iremos contigo, pois ouvimos que Deus está contigo.
