1 And once again I lifted mine eyes, and looked, and lo! four chariots, coming forward from between two mountains,now, the mountains, were mountains of copper.
1 Levantando de novo os olhos, olhei e vi quatro carros que saíam dentre duas montanhas: estas eram montanhas de bronze.
2 In the first chariot, were red horses,and, in the second chariot, black horses;
2 No primeiro carro havia cavalos vermelhos; no segundo cavalos negros;
3 and, in the third chariot, white horses,and, in the fourth chariot, horses spotted, deep red.
3 no terceiro, cavalos brancos e, no quarto, cavalos baios.
4 Then began I, and said, unto the messenger who was speaking with me,What are these, my lord?
4 Tomando então a palavra, perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: Que carros são esses, meu Senhor?
5 And the messenger answered, and said unto me,These, are the four winds of the heavens, coming forward after each hath presented itself near the Lord of all the earth.
5 Ele respondeu-me: Eles vão para os quatro ventos do céu e deixam o lugar onde se apresentaram diante do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 They in whose chariot are the black horses, are going forth into the land of the North, and, the white, have gone forth after them,and, the spotted, have gone forth into the land of the South;
6 Os cavalos negros dirigem-se para o norte, os brancos para o ocidente, os baios para o sul.
7 and, the deep red, have come forward and sought to go their way, that they might journey to and fro in the land, so he said, Go your way, journey to and fro in the land,and they journeyed to and fro in the land.
7 Partiram fogosos e procuraram lançar-se para percorrer a terra. O Senhor disse-lhes: Ide, percorrei a terra! E eles puseram-se a percorrer a terra.
8 Then made he outcry beside me, and spake unto me, saying,See, these who are going forth into the land of the North, have settled my spirit in the land of the North.
8 Ele chamou-me e disse: Olha: os que se dirigem para o norte vão saciar a minha cólera contra a terra do norte.
9 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
9 A palavra do Senhor foi-me dirigida nestes termos:
10 Take of them of the exile, of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah,then shalt, thou thyself, enter, on that day, yea thou shalt enter the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who have come in out of Babylon;
10 Vai e recebe a oferta da comunidade, os dons de Heldai, Tobias e Jedaia; vai hoje mesmo à casa de Josias, filho de Sofonias, pois se dirigiram para lá de volta de Babilônia.
11 yea thou shalt take silver and gold, and make a crown,and set upon the head of Jehoshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
11 Tomarás prata e ouro e farás uma coroa, que porás sobre a cabeça do sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Josedec,
12 then shalt thou speak unto him, saying, Thus, speaketh Yahweh of hosts, saying,Lo! a man! Bud, is his name, and, out of his own place, shall he bud forth, and shall build the temple of Yahweh;
12 e lhe dirás: Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos: Eis o homem, cujo nome é Gérmen; alguma coisa vai germinar de sua linhagem.
13 Yea, he, shall build the temple of Yahweh, and, he, shall bear the honour, and shall sit and rule upon his throne,and shall become a priest upon his throne, and, the counsel of peace, shall be between the two of them.
13 Ele é que reconstruirá o templo do Senhor: usará insígnias reais e sentar-se-á como rei sobre o seu trono; terá um sacerdote à sua direita, e reinará a perfeita paz entre eles,
14 But, the crown, shall belong to Heldai and to Tobiah and to Jedaiah, and to Hen son of Zephaniah,for a memorial in the temple of Yahweh.
14 A coroa será conservada no templo do Senhor em memória de Heldai, Tobias e Jedaia, como também de Josias, filho de Sofonias.
15 And, they who are afar off, shall come in and shall build at the temple of Yahweh, so shall yea know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto you,and it shall come to pass if ye will, indeed hearken, unto the voice of Yahweh your God.
15 Virão então aqueles que se acham distantes para trabalhar na construção do templo do Senhor, e sabereis que fui enviado a vós pelo Senhor dos exércitos. Tudo isso há de realizar-se, se fordes dóceis à voz do Senhor, vosso Deus.
