¹ Praise ye Yah! How happy is the man who revereth Yahweh, In his commandments, delighteth he greatly;

¹ Louvai ao Senhor. Bem-aventurado o homem que teme ao Senhor, que em seus mandamentos tem grande prazer!

² Mighty in the earth, shall be his seed, The generation of the upright, shall be blessed;

² A sua descendência será poderosa na terra; a geração dos retos será abençoada.

³ Wealth and riches, shall be in his house, and, his righteousness, standeth for aye.

³ Bens e riquezas há na sua casa; e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.

⁴ Risenin darkness, is light to the upright, The gracious and compassionate and righteous.

⁴ Aos retos nasce luz nas trevas; ele é compassivo, misericordioso e justo.

⁵ Well for a man showing favour and lending! He shall sustain his affairs with justice.

⁵ Ditoso é o homem que se compadece, e empresta, que conduz os seus negócios com justiça;

⁶ Surely, unto times age-abiding, shall he not be shaken, In remembrance, age-abiding, shall the righteous one remain;

⁶ pois ele nunca será abalado; o justo ficará em memória eterna.

⁷ Of evil tidings, shall he not be afraid, Established is his heart, led to trust in Yahweh;

⁷ Ele não teme más notícias; o seu coração está firme, confiando no Senhor.

⁸ Upheld is his heart, he shall not be afraid, until that he gazeth on his foes.

⁸ O seu coração está bem firmado, ele não terá medo, até que veja cumprido o seu desejo sobre os seus adversários.

⁹ He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy, His righteousness, standeth for aye, His horn, shall be exalted in honour.

⁹ Espalhou, deu aos necessitados; a sua justiça subsiste para sempre; o seu poder será exaltado em honra.

¹⁰ The lawless one, shall see, and be indignant, his teeth, will he gnash and melt away, The craving of the lawless, shall vanish.

¹⁰ O ímpio vê isto e se enraivece; range os dentes e se consome; o desejo dos ímpios perecerá.
